Murdering your family for money? That is the case involving the Ewell's. A millionaire, his wife and their daughter were killed at their California home after returning from a long weekend. Detectives conducted a full investigation until the son, the only surviving heir to the estate, was arrested 2 years later for masterminding the murders.

These cats chose us but we have carried them with us to safety from hurricane Milton. They are all fixed and cared for. Hopefully we have a home after this storm.

Leanne Blake he was awesome. By his own words when he got to his 50's, he felt he was a drunk and a loser and he changed his life. It's inspiring. He said the second half of his life was the best.
Mr. Dunne was an amazing man, a wonderful author, and a loving father. I miss him.
This was one of the best episodes of the series. Another spoiled rich kid who thought the world owed him a living just like the Menendez brothers, Alex Kelly, and Frances Schreuder, all of whom were profiled in this series. If Dana Ewell were that smart, he would never have told the shooter about the location of his dad's bullets. Idiot.

He worked VERY hard & also helped put his sisters & brothers through college, working two & three jobs at a time, to help his parents & siblings. When he began making money, he NEVER forgot where he came from. It is NOT right for you to be passing judgements on people you do NOT know. You know ABSOLUTELY nothing about them. Actually, this says MORE about YOU, than it does about them. They were VERY spiritually enriched & paid for MANY things, to keep their church taken care of. Mr. Ewell paid for many of his employees to go to college.

Dana Ewell was a very spoiled rich young man who thought, erroneously, that he was “entitled” to his father fortune. His entitlement attitude spoke volumes as to the kind of person he was. He wasn’t handsome at all, his father was a very handsome man, but Dana? He was evil, a vile person without a soul, who inherited a demon in his soul.
This young man thought he was smarter than anyone else, but he never thought that smartest and experienced detectives would find out what he did. Ahhhh……experience in life is a great teacher and what counts to do whatever you want, as long as you do goodness and not evilness. Dana was a loser, a total parasite who didn’t want to work hard for what he wanted like his father did; Instead, he resorted to murder his family to get his hands on his father’s money.
I hope he is rotting in prison where he belongs for his heinous crime. His family didn’t deserve to die the way they did.

I remember SO well when this occurred. My favorite brother had been murdered just a few weeks earlier, by his slut of a "grieving widow" & her "secret boyfriend". He died EXACTLY like that innocent family. My heart or what was left of it, felt real grief for EVERYONE in that family, EVERYONE, EXCEPT that MURDERER. I told my husband then, "The son did it" & this was ONLY a few weeks later. He asked how I knew & I said "His eyes. Eyes NEVER lie". Maybe this GREAT detective saw what I saw. There was SUCH a mean coldness in them, that his eyes scared me.& though, I did not know any of the Ewells, the VERY thought of murdering your ENTIRE family was JUST sickening !!
Three years later, my husband became very ill & I was told he had ONLY days left. As he was lying in the hospital bed, he looked at me & apropos to nothing said "You were right" I looked him & said in a joking manner "But of course, I'm always right. Haven't you learned that yet??" & we laughed, then, I said "About what?" He replied "That Ewell monster" & we laughed. Four days later, my husband left.
Tiffany was such an innocent & lovely girl & from ALL I had read, the ENTIRE family were wonderful & giving, then that "BAD SEED" sprung to Life. That newspaper article that was barely mentioned ACTUALLY said that the businesses the father had started, that ALL of that was the MURDERER's business. In other words the murderer even tried to say that HE (dana) had REALLY started the business, but he "ALLOWED DALE", his father, claim it was HIS doing. The picture of the murderer, standing in front of that private jet, was the picture, that was part of that BULLS**T story in the newspaper. Can ANYONE imagine lying like that about your father & ALL his hard work? It reminds of the Porco murders. That son did the EXACT same thing.

I just want to clear something up about how a lot of people judge how others react to the loss of loved ones. I have dry eyes, I can’t shed a tear, haven’t been able to for many years including when my son was killed by a hit and run driver. I take medication for dry eyes, but after years of taking the medication I still have dry eyes, and imagine I will for the rest of my life. Doesn’t mean my heart doesn’t ache over the loss of a loved one.
