Love the video! Its so nice to see yall just vibin’ and designin’ and then the occasional talking to explain! Cant wait to see more !! My wedding is in 4 months and im learning sooo much !
Ladies, You are Stunning! What an accessible tutorial. You gave me courage for a large background installation I will be DIY-ing next week. Not my first time, but this has helped me to plan better. Thank you! (Boy band vibes? Hmm... maybe the Andrew Sisters updated? Nuanced harmonies and down to earth fun and beauty - Practical Glam :)
We recommend either placing a weight at the back of the cage or using a lomey design bowl that has a larger surface area will also help to balance the weight!
Great idea with the command hook but - How much weight will the command hook hold? Would hate to have the design fall off in the middle of the ceremony.
That wouldn't be good for anyone! Command hooks come with different weight strengths, so definitely pay attention to that when choosing the on that will work best for your design.
Do you have a recommendation for the command hook situation if we can’t place the command hook right on the surface (i.e. it’s a borrowed piece of furniture from the venue)? Would a low vase work?
You could definitely use a low vase or try a low tray too. You can then attach your chicken wire tube to the vessel of your choice and still achieve a smilier look!
With something like this, how far in advance should I green it out? I'm having a Saturday wedding so I was planning on greening Friday and adding flowers Saturday morning. Thoughts?
You can definitely green this out on Friday and then backfill with florals on the day of the wedding. Be sure to keep the foam cool and saturated with water and everything will be great!
Using foam on a mantlepiece will be totally fine! If the fire is producing heat this could lead to the foam drying out more quickly and the flowers have a limited water source. Try not to have there be too many elements trailing down near that flames and it should be all good!
What are options is an event location says unequivocally no tape, no hooks, no command hooks ANYWHERE? My bride and groom reserved the clubhouse of a golf club full of windows and a stone fireplace with mantel. I haven't seen it in person, but I was thinking and hoping brick anchors might work on narrow stones around mantle. Any other mechanics?
It depends on the style of arrangement your doing! If it's a runner going down the length of the mantle, you might be able to just get away with a double or triple brick tray. If you want some of the "spilling" look, try affixing your chicken wire tube to the foam itself with tape or pins.

Really great video, thank you! Could I simply follow your guidelines for a faux floral mantle arrangement (swapping out fresh foam for dry)?
Absolutely! The same design principles will apply for faux as they do for fresh. And we just know that your mantle piece will be gorgeous!
Any thoughts on how to better stabilize that upper far left piece?

Very romantic I love it where I can get one?

Thank you for the reply!
Is it okay to use foam on a mantel with the heat from the fireplace?

@@FlowerMoxie okay thank you. Then cold glue around the pins in the foam for additional strength to prevent "mishaps"?
Are you guys using fresh flowers?
Absolutely! We sell fresh cut, wholesale flowers at flowermoxie.com
