Its HUGE! I like it. Well done Sir!
Big thanks
Absolutely fantastic! 👍
Thanks
That enclosure is fantastic. I'm really diggin the lift table. That thing is so smooth. Well done! 👍🏻
Thanks
For a smaller one, doctor up a case that looks like a proper arcade video game decor just for kicks.
Sure
WOW! So smooth on the lift device .. impressive ..
Yes, It works better than I had thought it would.
That's a really nice enclosure. It gives me some ideas to build one for my extended D1 20w pro. I've been kicking around setting up a lift bed whether buying a scissor lift or building some sort of lift. The lift that you have here looks like the easiest route and not breaking the bank.
So far, it works well. Thanks
Very, Very nice job!
Thank you very much!
The more of your videos I watch the more I am empressed..
I wish you would have built the zilla before I built mine. Yours is awesome
Thanks
Thanks. I seem to have managed to address all the issues that I had planned. I am sure I will find an issue somewhere.
Enclosurezilla! Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the shack!
Exactly
Really enjoying seeing this progress along 🤗
I can’t wait to get to turn out a few jobs with it…
Costs are a difficult thing with surging everywhere, I'm curious what is the price point of the build? Pin and chains, Tractorsupply springs, little frugality never hurt anyone 😅
@@dijimeistro Just the box was probably close to $500. That isn't including any of the mechanical or electrical components. Not cheap but it will make the money back in a couple of months work. Also, It is alot more safe than engraving stop toppers on the table.
Your enclosure is very practical and ingenious. It should serve you well and greatly contribute to your workflow. Excellent build!
Many thanks!
Practical?
The size alone makes it impractical.
@@dangerous8333 matter of perspective I guess. With what I do with my laser, it is highly practical. I make my money off items that require the functions that are built into it I have reduced my engrave and setup time by 50%.
@@TheClackShack I'm not making money, but I totally agree about the setup times.
Nice work! You can cut a piece out of an Heating/A/C filter for those air intake holes. It would prevent direct light and give some dust control.
No real risk of direct light. Thanks
A suggestion for the air intake hole is to use some type of louver. A dryer vent cover might work too.
Still checking my flow. Gonna dress it up once I am certain I have the right amount of flow.
Show idea, modding a vintage console tv or radio design cabinet into an enclosure.
No time..
No time.
Inlet at floor level for air for heat savings, other than that it's a decent design for safety.
Air goes out in bottom comes in in top. Keeps machine running cleaner
Love the enclosure, I have an upgraded Ortur LM2 extended bed and 40w optical power, will you be doing plans?
I have a rough sketch in our laser engraver community page on Facebook.
I just upgraded my D1 Pro 20W with the extensions, so I’m researching on how I want to build my enclosure. Great job. Looks awesome. Are you still able to run a camera system with that enclosure and the extended D1 Pro?
Yes, I run fisheye cameras
Why did you use cabnet grade plywood for Enclosurezilla. What is theover all dementions I have the same laser as you are using in that enclousre THanks for all you do for your community.
I wanted it to be sturdy without the need for an inner frame. Also wanted it to be noise dampening and easy to paint. There are rough drawings on my website.
Another great video. I do hope that you can get the plans (at least for the basic box- demensions and cut list) together and sell them in your Etsy shop.
Maybe
@@TheClackShack Hopefully!
Cool enclosure. I always enjoy your videos.... Have you seen the new Roly Automation Lasermatic 10 engraver? It has an acrylic enclosure as part of the machine. I preordered one. Since I am currently living in an apartment and don't have a shop this is ideal. Looking forward to more videos.
Cheers,
Greg
I have seen it on some other channels. Looks cool
Doing shop air on my enclosure. I want the regulated mostly out of the way ad so I am using a solenoid operated valve . Would you put the valve before or after the regulator?
I would probably do after the regulator.
I really like your enclosure. Are you using 3/4 Plywood and what are your interior dimensions? Great videos. Thank You!!!!
3/4 birch ply. The basic blueprint is in the files section of out Laser Engraver Community page on FB.
Just subbed. Didn't get you to 20K, but it's close.
I have an Atomstack X40 Max (48W, 400x850) showing up in a couple days and was planning something similar to your enclosure. I really appreciate your videos on this! (I hadn't considered the downdraft venting, but I love the idea.)
Now that you've got several months use, any big lessons learned or recommendations as I'm about to start building mine?
Thanks again!
Thanks for the sub!
Run a 6 inch fan... other than that. Still loving it
@@TheClackShack - awesome. (My 6” fan showed up yesterday.)
I'm not understanding the box you have the inline fan connected to. How do you get the smoke on top to exit?
Smoke is drawn into the bottom and pulled out.air inlet is high in the enclosure
I’m finishing up on my cabinet. Interesting that we came up with similar ideas. I bought the complete 2 in 1 Xtool with the extensions.
I like the horizontal design for easy access. I went the long way and placed doors under the laser frame to allow unlimited length signs with 34” tall letters.
On the venting, I have opted to make it a downdraft system with a six inch double squirrel cage exhaust with three speeds. I’ll let you know how that works out.
Like your design I have placed two manually operated scissor jacks under the honeycomb. Unfortunately I bought two standard X Tool honeycombs before I saw the extended one piece unit that you have. If you know anyone I would like to sell my two new unused panels and get the one like you have. I see that I’ll have a large solid bar where the two come together. I’m reinforcing the framework with aluminum angle and the two independent jacks should solve the stabilization issue of the large frame.
On the glass I’ve built a 24 X 36 solid plate glass top and placed a 24 X 24 filter plexiglass on top that can slide up and down on the clear glass. The lid has two gas shocks that balance the lid open or closed.
The unit will have a 32” monitor on an articulating mount. The glass top will be a work surface for a wireless keyboard and mouse that connects to a mini PC mounted to the end cabinet.
Like most of my grand plans I’m sure there will be modifications but like you I’m ready to get out of the cabinet business and back to the origins, plan whatever that was.
All of this is mounted on a custom heavy four wheel dolly that is detachable and recesses up into the bottom of the cabinet height enclosure.
Whew!!! Never dreamed a cabinet could cost a thousand bucks!!!
I’ll look into your store for the full length honeycomb and other offerings. Thanks so much for you informational videos and for sharing your knowledge.
My ideas tend to lead to expenses too. I am glad I did it though. The features make my work flow much better
@@TheClackShack
I just saw your video on switching to the new laser company. I love the electric lift mechanism. Ill probably add that soon but using two manual jacks for now.
on the honeycomb stability I am concerned with that on my design. It would be easier if I had the one piece honeycomb. I'm thinking like you mentioned to add a subframe under the honeycomb. Also to make a gauge to check the be parallels to the laser.
on the cabinet I think a full height cabinet design on casters is going to work. inside the cabinet I used four of the two slot adjustable shelf brackets to support both the laser and the bed jacks. I made the cabinet 56 inches deep and 24 inches inside. I put a 3/16 plate glass top inside a frame that allows a 24 x 24 filter glass that slides on top of the plate glass. This gives me a work surface for the keyboard and mouse.
I also mounted a 40" HD TV with a sound system. I can play UA-cam feeds or music while drawing or surfing the web. So far the mini computer is handling all of this multitasking.
On the electric I wired four duplex outlets on the back side and four switches on the front side panel.
Thanks for all of your contributions and great ideas.
I would like to send a couple photos and follow your new design ideas also.
What PSI you running air assist? Enclosure looks great Sir! Old school rule would be 2/3 up the length for the lid for the stops. Less torque on the hinges.
I tune the air while in a cut, psi is misleading. Too many variables in the line set and cone. Set a long cut, adjust as it travels and pick the setting based on result.
@@TheClackShack Thank you Sir
how high is your camera from the laser bed at its normal height?
trying to put one together for my extended B1
About 16 inches
What are you using for a camera in it, and how is it working. DO you get a proper view of the whole bed with a single camera?
Fishey camera yes, while bed
Hi Clack, what size is the drag chain? Cause I ordered one it was too narrow to fit wire and air assist line (1M Drag Chain Cable Carrier R15 7x7mm) 😂
10x20, amzn.to/3FrzPwz
Good video. Do you have the dimensions for the enclosure. I like the lift and have the xTool D1 Pro 40watt. I want to engrave the bottom of my bowls and vases that vary in height.
I would have to get all the measurement, I don't currently.
Is the smoke extraction set up like a downdraft, where does the smoke go?
Into the bottom and out the side.
That is a nice looking enclosure! I hope to have mine done soon too. I plan to eventually upload the video of the build. Is there somewhere I can email you a link to it? I would like to see what you think.. Thanks!
you can send it on facebook
What psi are you using for the shop air assist? I can''t measure the psi of the Atezr air assist unit, so not sure. Can't be much.
I tune it based on performance in the cut. Not sure what it is set to. PSI is specific to the point of measure. I use performance rather than the measured psi inside the regulator
@@TheClackShack makes sense. If I'm doing a cut, I turn the Atezr pump up to about 3/4. If engraving wood, then about 1/2 way. Seems like those are reasonable settings.
Looks like a great enclosure ... are plans available? I get by with ATEZR's collapsible enclosure, but something like Enclosurezilla would sure be nice to have!
It has changed a lot. There are some rough sketches on my website and in our laser community facebook page. ua-cam.com/users/liveVMcna4ovbNk?feature=share

Do you know if the XTool or Ortur rotary are compatible to the Atezr?? Not sure if you’ve tried it - Atezr rotary are sold out and I’m working on a similar enclosure to yours. Maybe an Enclosure..beta to your Mega Enclosurezilla 😂
Can’t say, you would need one that connects to the stepper
How are you raising and lowering the bed?
An electric lift. More information in the previous 2 videos. A link to the bed is in the description.
what size gas struts did you use?
I did not use struts. I use springs
What is the wooden box on right?
That is a temporary duct for the air. Inside.. about to add a fresh air intake
Auto dimming window modded from a LCD tv panel like a welding mask for some overengineering.
No thanks..
@@TheClackShack Haha, overengineering, redundency. Wonder about even just recyling a cheap auto dimming welding helmet, or go with no window and rely on just a interior camera as a work around. PAR lighting filters as another option in layers to reach safe zone.
What laser are you using?
currently, I run an Atezr V35 in my large enclosure. I have others
how long is the machine with the extension. O.D.?
45 inches without the offline control attached
@@TheClackShack perfect. Nice build there.
Any chance you will sell the plans?
Sorry! I should have waited until I finished watching before asking my question.
Eventually.. lol
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼😎
Thanks
Got excited by the price of the safety glass you found, but then saw it's only OD3, which is way too low for any real protection. If you have to wear your safety glasses around the laser in the enclosure then spending any money on "safety" acrylic is kind of a waste. I recently watched a video with a guy who does this kind of work for military contract work and he said he wouldn't let anyone near a laser with less than OD5.
Yeah the higher OD panels are really expensive, but my eyes are priceless. Maybe just put a panel on the enclosure you can open and close to look with your glasses, or just keep it all closed up and use a camera feed to monitor the burn progress.
I am sure it would not be good for a direct beam. Double protection is always a good idea
Double up on the filter, triple even and add extra ambient light to see better.
@@truetech4158 don’t know if that’s exactly how it works. Would need a person who is an expert in the field to confirm. Also worry that the cheaper options aren’t being exactly honest about their ratings. Way to easy to simply lie about it.
@@johndoe6032 A proper lumens meter would show the gradient levels of the spectrum of light. Ya, what you wrote is so on point with critical thinking, pzaramount for safety and human rights, we must push all to raise the bar rather than barter.
Hey man, you need to lower that camera a little. yer lookin a kinda 5'10ish...lol Just kidding...great job man....looks awesome!
No, its just that the enclosure is 6 foot with the door open.... ENCLOSUREZILLA
@@TheClackShack 🤣
Not seeing a camera in the enclosure, are you not finding them useful anymore?
Waiting on USB extension cable.
Holy Overkill Batman!
🤷
It’s actually just right. Camera even covers the whole work area…lol. It is huge though
