If the tummy bothers you, then move to another video. This is how to do sit ups without hurting the tailbone, not to showcase ripped abs.
Vic Gabriel he has fat covering his tailbone bro. He wont feel the pain that fit people do and shouldnt be giving them advice. I would only trust this guy to teach people how to eat and watch tv.
Jordan Burkhardt shut the fuck up dude
Ninja Games you sound like a real bitch
Dadbods rule!
Don’t be a Karen, he’s trying to help so let him
still cant do it. It feels like the bones in my lower back are rubbing against the mat and Iit hurts really bad.
We have to do it on hard wood floor. It hurts so much. Also we have to go to 90 degree angle. And I say, that stuff is painful!
Ava Fowler When I was little, I did something that kinda permanently bruises my tail bone and my left knee. So this prevents me from doing sit ups on the floor, and kneeling or crawling. It sucks a lot. Because I have to do 120 sit ups on the concrete floor with only 3 stops. I still cant find a way to heal it fully. 😞😢
True
@@FergieNaHa I did too. I hurt it when i was a kid and it still hurts and im 50. Like a bruise. So when i do a sit up and come all the way up. It hurts. I'll find a video one day that understands this pain
@@corbinfowler7323 u tried on a wooden floor but ur right it’s PAINFUL
I did 130 sit ups straight and now my tailbone is bruised. It’s red there’s a cut in the skin.
I didn’t know I was doing my sit-ups incorrectly:(
Now it hurts to sit in general. I’m so stupid but I want to continue working out on my abs :(
Thanks for the information :)
Same happened to me and took a good year to recover, I still fee some pain on prolonged sitting period though
same, I feel you
Everybody starts somewhere. You'll get there.
Pretty sure you did something more wrong than this person then or there’s another underlying issue. Should only take a week or so to heal.
tysm my tail bone hurts a lot whenever i do sit ups
Me too
Me too😭😭💔
Thanks, I've been looking for a solution
Helps me, before when my tailbone hurt when doing sit ups, i used to put pillow or soft cushion under my tailbone which also helped me.
It did not help me....I've been putting a cushion under my tailbone since the beginning and still got a massive rash
I can't even lay down flat on the ground without my tailbone hurting. So doing sit ups is very painful for me altogether. There is no fix, not even a mat or towel helps. 🙄
Same 💔😔I just want to be like others that don’t have to deal with this problem
Who else thinks this guy look like Sal from impractical Jokers
Lmao yess 😂
Nothing like him lol
doesn't look anything like him wtf are you on about?
what?? nothing like sal
😂😂😂
Thank You for the advice.I will definitely try it that way.
No b.s. I sought out a video to help as my tail bone would hurt for days after doing them. Just tried after watching this and before you even do the first rep you can play with your knee height and feel the difference in the gap under your lower back. Thank you!
Dude, thanks so much I’ve always had issues doing sit ups and wondered why it seemed like only me. Now I know it was my bad form lol.
thank you for your precious advices, this one will help a lot :)
Thank you bill, very cool.
Thanks a lot!
Thank you for the video,I will start doing as you say :)
Actually really helpful thanks man
Thank You!
Helped alot thank you
Much appreciated
Thanks 😁 will try this
thank you Bill
Thank you!
thank you so much
Thank you
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ahh I was stretching my legs outward for more movement, makes sense why that isn't a good idea
Thanks 👏
You can also do crunches they are very similar
Thank you sir for your great advice I was practicing sit ups up to 90⁰ for 1 week so that my tail bone is paining whenever I do it so Thank you sir for once again
Now I just feel my mid spine getting stabbed by the floor
If you're just trying to get your shoulder blades off the ground, isn't that considered a crunch, not a sit-up? Correct me if I am wrong, but I was always under the impression that the difference between a sit-up and a crunch is how far off the ground you raise your upper body; a crunch is just when the should blades get off the ground and a sit-up is when your upper body is almost perpendicular to the ground (basically, almost 90 degrees).
Yes that way it is only a crunch
yeah that's sort of the difference but both exercises are so similar it might be ok to alternate
A sit up is when you just lift your upper body to sit up straight. A crunch is when you lift your upper body AND your knees which is why it's called a crunch because you're crunching your upper body and legs together. I'm 4 years late but whatever lol
Thanks! :)
I do sit up in ny bed sometimes cause my tailbone is really hurt when i do it on the floor
At the beginning of the video - This guy clearly doesnt know what hes on about
At the end - yeah makes sense
So he somehow learned about sit-ups at some point mid-explanation. Got it.
You probably judged him by his appearance
@@fractionpassion I know I did. He has quite the collection of fat on his abdomen, for a guy giving instruction on situps.
I think it's more of my glutes hurting than my tailbone....Idk. Maybe it'll get better after I lose more weight and get more fit....hopefully.....I don't want to injure anything, lol! I'm trying to learn to do sit ups so I can enlist.
I can’t do sit ups because my tail bone is so large it sticks out far.. so if I sit straight up my bone would get stuck on the floor, yoga mat, pillow.. anything and probably break! The pain is excruciating and I can’t figure out how to fix it... I just had an X-ray and it’s not broken or bruised.. it’s just BIG! So rolling that bone to sit up hurts soooo bad! This way won’t work either. I’m at a loss... I need it removed :/
I had P.E test today and we had to do this on wooden floors in our gym. I could have done more sit ups if only we were doing it on a SOFTER surface. My tailbone is bruised now, gosh dammit I hate working out.
it's easy. either do the sit ups on an exercise ball or a really cushion-y mat. izi
Still doesn't help. Maybe my ass isn't fat enough...
@@alasdairduncan3 My ass is pretty plump, tailbone still hurts :
Pray for us skinny niggas
omg thank you so much no i can do sit ups yah
I freaking rubbed skin of my tailbone doing situps
Such a small change in the form but can make a big difference. Thanks for sharing this with us!
If any of your viewers still feel pain - we encourage them to visit us at theabstand*net for a machine that works while you stand.
*My tailbone pops out like a elbow. It’s impossible* 😂
I usually just put a pillow underneath my tailbone.
The more I bent my knee the more pain I feel
I used to be able to do 50 a night but I had to stop. Now when I do sits up my tail bone hurts and it gave me small rash like red mark. I do sit ups on a carpet and that may contribute to that but before when I was doing them it never hurt. Is it because I have no bum muscles. Please comment
Micheal Meaden how old are you? I’m 13 and my tailbone hurts when I do normal sit ups did yours hurt??
Hi hello, I’m 20 I was told it’s from no Lower back muscles.
If its your lower back muscles that are hurting, I would recommend incorporating lower back and glute exercises in your workout. Such exercises include, but are not limited to, planks, hypertensions, supermans, and maybe even fire hydrants and/or sumo squats.
I doubt it is because of your lack of glute muscles, but some great exercises for those are fire hydrants, sumo squats, leg raises, leg lifts, and lunges,
I've got a booty but have been experiencing the same thing..
It still hurts my tailbone even when doing it like this.
cowlufoo2 same.
cowlufoo2 me to
It actually feels worse doing it like this. Who else thinks the same
It's almost impossible to do a full set like this at least to me
What does he do with all that gym equipment???
Every 1 lift of a dumbbell = 1 bite of a Snicker bar
I’m looking to join the British infantry and I’m fucked if I can’t even do a sit-up without my spine breaking
I'm afraid to say that if you are a professional athletes and passing a high volume of more than 300 to 500 a day 6 on 7. you will have to get used to it
But this is what I do and it absolutely kills..
Don’t you think sit-ups will cause back pain though?
Is it as effective as normal sit ups? I mean, if I do 100 of these, will the result be the same with 100 normal sit ups?
Rypäleleipä He's literally just telling you do to do crunches, crunches are effective but not as effect, I'd recommend focusing on doing as many as you can for a certain amount of time like either 20, 30 seconds
Rypäleleipä just find at least 5 ab workouts and do the same for each, it's either 20/30 reps as intense as possible or 20/30 seconds andndo as many as possible intensely within the time limit
my tailbone hurts more like this
The way you’re doing sit ups, looks like it will hurt your tailbone.😕
got so much sht from my drill sergeants during basic training cus of my tailbone
This is not working for me
This video isn't helping..because police agility exam requires applicants to perform 30 sit ups in one minute with shoulders touching the ground..there's no way not to hurt the tail bone...that's they only we can do it...
Then grin and bare it lol. If it's only 30 seconds you can boss that...
But for people who're just looking for a way to work on their abs and do sit ups without having the unnecessary pain on the lower back, this helps.
MOVE TO ANOTHER VIDEO, my evidence is: "Look at his belly"
Lol
i wish i could get rid of that shit
Made it hurt more waste of time
This guy kinda sounds like dr. Evil😂
Lmao can't unhear it now
you're on a padded floor bud. I'm sure that has something to do with it. not all bodies are built the same. following this advice my tailbone still pokes the hard floor. invest in a pad and don't listen to advice about sit-ups from someone whos clearly not doing many
he has a big belly .. is he saying the truth?
Lol that tummy tho teach yourself first
I want someone who can actually do a sit up to show me
Bat man try to teach buff man
heheheh.....the soo-ass😂😂
Theres a saying for bakers, "You can tell who the bad bakers are because theyre skinny", meaning they dont eat their product. When a personal fitness trainer is out of shape af that hes out of breath just sitting there talking, how are you suppose to take him seriously...
You have the same amount of subscriber's as I do. #Team5Subs
I'll subscribe to you, because you're hot and I also want to help
DUDE why is this guy overweight doing a sit up tutorial
I find it hard to listen to fat personal trainers and why are u even doing sit-ups?? Sit ups won't help u lose any belly fat ahhahah
I'm sorry buddy but shouldn't you be in more physical shape in order to do all this shit I'm trying to become a personal trainer myself and I'm pretty sure there's a standard you're below it
can u ever trust someone giving advice to lose the stomach fat who has stomach fat? if this technique works so well, what's his excuse?
Sit-ups don’t make you lose stomach fat
Not all coaches play football well
You idiot. Sit ups don't get rid of stomach fat. Learn just a little bit of exercise science before criticizing someone for theirs.
this is completely useless and does not protect the tailbone at all. look up "manny pacquiao ab workout", he's using a 1.5" thick mat and the most effective crunches require you to be rest on or near the tailbone for around half of the ab workouts, the rest are just lifting the lower back or doing leg movements in a protected position or using a bar or something. the best way to protect it as well as doing a proper workout is to gain muscle around that area for less momentum on the tailbone and to use a real, thick mat. not that fraudster "ab mat" or "ab bench" garbage.
Thank you!
