Bruh, this guy is the worst kind of spy to play against. The guy that knows literally every ammo pack location on the map, all the shortcuts, and most importantly he is patient. Legit just stay cloaked until he is positioned just right and then fucks up the entire enemy team. Definitely one of the better gameplays I've seen of a spy work
More like an conservative spy style, not an aggressive trickstabber or gunspy

the really good trickstabbers are more annoying to play against when youre better at the game, most of the time you just watch the bad players on your team get decimated while you cant do anything cause they constantly have like 200hp and dr. these guys can be countered by just slightly upping your awareness imo, the red team in this vid all were pretty bad

Yeah, the Kunai Dead Ringer playstyle just removes the stealth point of Spy when you can just be aggressive and trickstab galore because the source engine is on your side

That's how YER works. It only makes a select few players paranoid due to the silent kill sound and his choice of off center picks. By the time he started racking up kills on ALL the players, that's when we started to see them becoming aware and going pyro or checking their backs more often
Ok, this mans un cloaks in someone's ear and they don't bat an eye, but when I de cloak a mile away they all turn around and I get gunned down like I got sentenced to death by a firing squad

the gameplay was very clean but holy shit, i knew the tf2 playerbase was mostly unskilled but this server was full of geriatric skeletons.
But everytime I try this strat 80% of my games everyone on d lobby have hyper awareness damn lmao

This guy has good game sense and is facing a pretty unaware team with pretty bad game sense. By the way he was playing, he could have used the stock knife and still have gotten away with a lot of these stabs anyways. Sometimes, it helped, but he didn’t seem to need its instant disguise on kill more often than not. I can tell this guy is chilling and at no level of stress.
It seems like he only truly started using his brain around there end when it became more chaotic.
I never understood why people said that the eternal reward was a bad weapon, because this video obviously proves its not. Just because a weapon acts very differently to others doesn't make it bad
its not bad. most of the weapons are not bad. but kunai dead ringer kombo is too powerful since them dead ringer covers kunais downsides make them powerful more then YER
it is bad. it's just that the guy in the video is a god. if you didn't have th patience and skill you would struggle to get the first to get a disguise. and you can't really use the cloak for a long time unless you memorized every ammo pack location (the guy in the video did)
@@epicshinji9258 you could say the same for the kunai, i tried using it, the health penalty was just devastating, couldn't get any backstab chains, i just kept dying.
Just because a weapon takes a certain skill doesnt make it bad

disguises are best used to fool people in short bursts since any competent team that knows there is a spy will spycheck everyone.
Going invis also makes moving around faster when he isn’t disguised as scout or spy.
any actual good spy that knows how to use yer doesn’t completely rely on the disguise gimmick and uses it when there are large groups clumped together
I just mainly use it for it’s silent backstab pro, it makes it extremely easy to pick targets and nobody ever notices the backstab even happened since the people you kill dont scream lol
Disguises aren't really good unless you are smart with them. Like, let's say he kept being the Medic at the beginning. What then? He gets killed by the Demoknight?
