Quick review FT-65 (

- Yaesu FT-65 is a newer Amateur handheld radio.
A nice display and decent features.
Visit my website to get a User Manual for this radio.
www.pradiofun....
It is written for the first time user to get started quickly.
This might be the best starter Ham handheld available.
$80 for an actual Ham radio; not a sort of ham radio for $30.
It receives FM broadcast as well.
It also has a HIDDEN dual display feature. See my user manual to find out how to use it.
I am trying to get more content uploaded; but, life finds a way to get in the way.
This quick review format is easier to make than my more polished videos.
Ham Radio = Amateur Radio
HT = handheld radio (handy-talky)
actual Ham radio =
1) Is user friendly for switching between VFO & Channel Memory.
2) Has automatic repeater shifts (ARS) built into memory.
VFO = Variable Frequency Oscillator
I really enjoy your content. I feel like you are talking to me, not at me! Can't wait for the next video.
I've found that a Speaker/Mic made for a Motorola CP185 Commercial HT plugs into the Yaesu FT-65 and works like a champ. I also use the CP185 programming cable to program the FT-65.
Does this mic have a screw to hold it onto the radio?
@@personalradiofun526 No, it doesn't, but I've got a few FT-65's for myself, friends, and family, and the speaker/mic stays solidly in place during normal usage for everybody's radio. I've never seen one come loose, unless somebody was pulling straight out on the plug.
I just received mine today! Love it! Your manual was a huge help! The Motorola 2 pin mics do indeed work.
I'm glad the manual was helpful.
Hola de Argentina, tiene recepción de 108 a 136? El yaesu ft4x?
No recepción de 108 a 136. Tengo Yaesu ft 65. Debería ser lo mismo que ft 4x.
I used a translator. I hope it is correct.
Thank you for putting together and sharing your helpful guide for the FT-65! Good work!
