Thank you. You are Very clear on the percentage of dye sock. Also you gave us A great example of tones in the fiber, make different colors when dyed 😆. (especially, yellow based fiber) Perhaps a video using A color wheel w/ tone and shade sections can help us understand dyeing w/ tone and shade fibers? 😊 (never seen that on UA-cam)
Reggie M that is next!! I mention that in the beginning that I need a whole other video for that😉. This video I wanted to keep under a half an hour of at all possible. Next I am doing a gradient tutorial with the primary pigments!! Specifically magenta and turquoise 😁. Which is their version of “cyan” pretty much! Coming VERY soon!👀
Sorry, don’t know why I called you Elizabeth Lindsey. Good luck with all of those. You have a natural on camera grace and everything you are doing looks very professional. Take care🐑❤️
Amiek VDB thank you so much for saying that!! I feel like I’m talking to my friends, which I am! So I think it presents itself that way I hope? It definitely makes me more comfortable thinking of it that way lol!! I’ve been working so hard on this for a few years now so that makes me so happy!! Thank you for following along!! Get ready for the next one, it’s going to be REALLY AWESOME!😎
I have never done this but I have a BUNCH of alpaca yarn and I want to dye it - this was so helpful! A couple of questions though, how long does it take for the yarn to dry before you can start knitting it? Also, do you have more videos for the other pigments with the fawn colors (most of my yarn is fawn to dark fawn)?
Amiek VDB you are very welcome!!! I try to share all the knowledge I think will be useful to other fiber artists😁💕!! My name is Lindsey, middle name Elizabeth ☺️. I do play a character named Beth on an Amazon Prime TV show though, so in a way, I’m both😉🤣! Lol! I’m so happy you like it! I’m working on a color theory video now and a different gradient video with mixing different dye colors👀! It will be up as soon as possible! At most, a week from now!
It’s an adult comedy on Amazon prime called “The Weekend Warriors”. Season one is out and season two is about to be released! I’m not in season one, but I am in 7 out of 11 episodes of season two. It’s a new indie comedy show. Kind of like “The Trailer Park Boys” but it’s Massachusetts trash humor versus being down south in a trailer park. I find it hilarious. Some people have actually thought it’s real lol. It’s all scripted, well, most of it. Sometimes we improv parts. I got lucky being able to crochet because that’s why I got the part lol! Plus I knew the writer/director/producer previously, from doing a few music videos. He needed a character that wore one of those “pink pussy hats” from a few years back. Of course I took the offer lol!
Really pretty.
Very pretty.... glad I watched
Julie Giering thank you!! I hope it helped teach you some new things!😁

Thanks for sharing your knowledge here Elizabeth. And neat to see you using Serendipity yarn based.
