Oh yeah! She’s a runner! I have to say, the 400a is one of my favorites! Thanks for sharing brother!

Yes I would have to agree. Out of all the ones that I own I would put the both exponents and Peak 1s in the same category and in doing that the 400A would also be my favorite. But, out of my 508, 505B and 400A that has the clean Lo High adjustment lever it would be a tie between my 508 and 400A. But I still haven't lit my 505B yet LOL It's a tight race! Have a nice weekend brother.

Nice to see it fire right up. I now know what I need to do to get mine running. I can't thank you enough. I'm such a visual person that this series was perfect for me to get it going.
I can't wait to start using it again during my winter hikes and ski trips.
Thanks for all the pages of information also!
    That control arm is sweet.

Stacy you are very welcome my friend. I enjoyed doing this for you. One thing, Always work on your pump and check valve first then try to have a burn. If all works fine. it's a win, win. But if you have problems getting it lite or it can't bloom and the orange flame is all over the place, than its time to work on your generator, you may just have to soaking it in carb cleaner for a few days. Basically these stoves are easy to maintain and repair. Yes the control arm is sweet. When I have spare time I'll do a video on repairing the generator. Keep your line wet and pull in the big ones. Hope you have a good upcoming weekend.

Daniel great video. I have a stove just like it but on mine the generator is bad. The lo med high (start) on the flame adjuster lever does not work. Do you know where I can buy a replacement generator that has the lever integrated into the generator just like this one in the video for the model 401A? Please let me know Sir. I've looked everywhere for one. I liked the three videos in this series and I am gooing to watch more of your videos. Thanks for your Help. Please let me know where I can get a replacement generator. Thanks.

Thanks Bart. If you need parts for your 400A try out this site. www.oldcolemanparts.com/ I'm sure they can help you with what ever you need. Question: #1 Have you tried to heat up the entire generator with a plumbing torch to see if you could free up the inner wire that connects to the valve. If not try that first it may just be what needed to burn off the carbon buildup inside. {DON"T over heat the generator , you could melt it} Question #2 Have you tried to remove the Generator from your stove to see what it looks like. Check out my 2nd video {Coleman 400A Peak1 1986. The repair of the check valve and pump. It's first service. Part Two.} and read all of mikes comments.
