I have this light kit on both my 600mm Ultrix and UMX Ultrix. Lots of frustrating fun to install.. In my opinion they should offer the aircraft in two separate SKUs, one with the lights installed and one without them. 😉

UMX Ultrix LED light kit is very similar and is also controlled from your radio. I installed it on my UMX Ultrix right away and love it (and checked it for red/green side prior to the install). Yes, it does have "rear" red LEDs as part of the kit as well - pretty cool! It is also a little cheaper than the bigger one for the 600mm Ultrix bird. Light pattern #4 I think I also liked best.
The lights on this plane gave a Close Encounters vibe, had the music in my head while watching. Some low slow ground fog fly throughs would have been really cool with the lights and the fog reacting to the plane flying through it.
I bought the LED kit for the 342mm UMX Ultrix back in April. I love it (and the red taillights do look good). Unlike Nate, I was not lucky in the accidental placement of nav lights. Perhaps coincidentally (and perhaps not), I like the changing solid pattern best as well (the ol' No. 4). I do not own the 600mm Ultrix. Yet. Also, I'll fight over my Night Vapor. I love that little thing. I spend a lot of time in high alpha, kiting the afternoon away. :)
Dude let's start a Night Vapor channel... I can get mine 200 feet no wind and just watch it glide. Im on my 4th one. And am becoming an expert with this thing. Hey bro what do you do to prevent your power lead from breaking off the receiver? I originally zip tied it to the frame which worked well. Do you think a dab of hot glue would be better? Also the rear landing J hook has always snapped off mine. Im thinking some shoe goo or hot glue as well.
@@kevincarter7102 I haven't had the battery lead break off yet. I did end up gluing (super glue) on the tail hook thing after I lost the first one. I'm still on the first airframe, but I'm on about the 5th or 6th prop / shaft. :)

I'm 38 and a seasoned rc pilot, I started out 15 years ago and I'm noticing this generation has no clue SAFE and AS3X are out there, RC flying still looks hard and only for hobby geeks. Maybe you and Abby could visit some schools, to let kids fly easy stuff like the mini mustang and a little drone and heli with SAFE modes. Kids also do great on UA-cam, maybe a nice boost to your channel and to the RC community I must have these lights wauw , hope they come with free bug spray lol And what a beautiful sky and fog
I liked that 4th pattern better, seemed to look cooler as you flew low to the ground illuminating it. Not saying that I liked this less, but I also liked that Radiant. I'm really tempted on that smaller one y'all showed.
Hey guys, great video. 5:19 Wingnut Tech has the Night Radian LED Controller for $35. I installed on the Flight Test version which is really nice touch.
Green is on the right because it tells other pilots they have the right of way at an 'intersection' in the sky. Same as right has right of way at a 4-way stop in a car. Conversely red on the left tells other pilots to yield right of way. ;)
🤯 AWESOME! Gonne put this led kit on one of my jets and do a late sunset flight to see how it goes! I never even thought of adding led strips to an existing plane of mine.. Ill start with adding it to my Arrows 64mm jet. I can handle something happening to that one. Not saying its not a cool plane, its downright badass but its my oldest flyable jet in my fleet

Sold to the man in the front row that thinks all UAV's should have lights. Thanks Nate. That thing is sick. Can't afford one right now cause I'm on my 4th Night Vapor. That was an expensive lesson. This one should last forever then I'm buying the UMX 600. Those Non-Scale tricks really make your average person want to try the Hobby.. and it feels good as the pilot to have old and young alike run up and tell you how cool it is and ask you where to buy one. Nice camera work too.
I commented a while ago on 9205e episode about getting one on ebay brand new for 60 with free shipping and yall said it was scam. Well was not a scam, came early. The links in these videos are to make you money, not to show us where the cheapest place to get them is. Plus could you get any more click bait with $35 on the thumbnail like the rc is that much. Just sucks I had to help with the algorithm just let yall know that ebay is a great place to buy from if you want more inexpensive without middle man tax.

Not that hard to fly. I can fly it it like crazy. if you can do stunts without using safe to bailout then it’s halfway impressive. I have the umx and am more than happy with it.

Nice plane, lights look great. I liked yesterday's the best but, they have to get a remote for the lights. For this one I liked #1 light pattern. Stay out of the fog. So ive decided when I buy my first flier it will be one you recommend and have on your show,time to start saving.sail on.
I added the lights to mine. The price is high considering the umx ultrix lights are only $20 and includes tail lights. But the patterns are cool.
I feel like anything from E-Flite is going to be pricy though.

Nice plane, lights look great. I liked yesterday's the best but, they have to get a remote for the lights. For this one I liked #1 light pattern. Stay out of the fog. If you saw the movie, you won't like What🧟♂️🧟♀️🧟 FINDS you 😱😲😳🥺🥺- bwwaaha ha ha ha.😆😆😆😁😁. Good but, sad end to Light week. ⚓⚓👍💚👍💛👍♥️👍⚓⚓.
