Here it is, if you've guessed that my previous project teaser was a Yakuza 6 fanmade intro, you guessed right. With the help of many friends who helped me shape this into what it currently is, here's my take on a Yakuza 6 intro. I started this project since around September of last year using the Japanese version of the game to get the cutscenes, and a mix of the English trailer(s) as well as the Japanese game for some of the gameplay footage. I tried to take lessons from the intros that are made in the Yakuza games to deliver something of a similar nature for Yakuza 6 seeing as it does not have its own intro.
I've tried taking several things into account when making it, such as making sure the flow of the music as well as the scenes chosen go hand in hand to provide a more pleasant visual and auditory experience, as well as what is and what isn't a blatant spoiler. Normally even by official intro standards, there are teasing scenes that are somewhat spoilers but the fact that you don't know the context for any of the scenes shown doesn't entirely make what you see spoilers, I tried to do the same thing for this intro where you'll see some scenes that tell you something, but not the full story behind it. Naturally, using the whole soundtrack would've made the intro a little too long, so I tried to shorten it to a degree that would be acceptable to use in an intro, and i'm quite happy with how it turned out. I couldn't heavily alter and edit the scenes more than I already have to retain that same feel the intros usually have; as you may know, the intros in other games don't have any fancy editing or anything like that.
I also tried to captivate certain themes in the intro, mainly the two themes of "Family" and "Disaster", seeing as 6 is a game that has a lot of emotional impact especially the more Yakuza games you played and depending on how much you cherish the series and how much the characters have grown on you. Me personally, I started with the very first Yakuza game on the PS2, and so playing even just the Japanese version of the game and watching the cutscenes had more impact on me than any other Yakuza game, which is why I was even more excited to play this game in English and see what it's all about.
I hope you like my take on the intro and most importantly thank you all again for sticking with me until this far, I know it's probably cliche to say seeing as you've most likely heard tons of other channels saying something of a similar nature but I never imagined i'd come close to having 10,000 dedicated followers who also share my passion for this wonderful franchise but here we are today with that very occurrence before us. Seriously, thank you all for always stopping by and sharing your thoughts which is one of my best parts about this whole channel thing, I love reading your comments whether they're funny or even just honest appreciation, I appreciate it all. Could the developers just take your Yakuza 6 and Kiwami 2 Intro and Patch it into the Game? This one is 100% accurate and perfect, I'm stunned.
I'm not sure about kiwami 2 but 6's lack of intro was both due to them wanting to avoid the constant minor spoilers shown in intros and due to a fairly rushed development time.
@@FungalFury minor spoilers lol, then you have Kiwami's intro where the first thing you see when booting up the game is the intro to the final boss fight

Besides it's not like those games were subtle about building up to the main antagonist
Yakuza intros are life, so its a real shame that neither yakuza 6 nor kiwami 2 have one. Thank god theres our devilleon helping out and creating this awesome y6 intro which got me even more bumped up for y6. Cant wait for the demo to come out! Luckily i was able to finish yakuza 5 just in time so i can enjoy the story to its fullest.

I know that this is a fanmade but i like how the yakuza trailers basically just tell you all the plot and characters of the game and still leaves you intrigued about what will happen

I know replying in 2021 is a bit late, but Ill still leave my thoughts.
2:20 is a bit too long compared to the other intros, but I still like it. The interesting part is that the focus on someya is pretty hard, most his big moments, and for someone who didn't know the game, the tattoo reveal of Tsuneo and Kiryu it might look like it was Someya and Kiryu. An interesting choice to put so much focus on him, almost as he would be the main antagonist.

6 isn't bad by normal game standards it's just a really weak yakuza game
I think people were just disappointed by it because the plot wasn't really a very good "book closer" on Kiryu's story.
It is the best yakuza game in the series along with kiwami 2. The fighting is so much better on the new engine and the story is fine.

This edited version of the song is actually MILES better than the one in the game imo. The drop @1:25 works way better and it leads straight into that hype guitar.

I'm still working my way through the series (played 0 & 1, working on 2) but doesn't every Yakuza game have an epic intro. Why would they leave that out for what is supposed to be Kiryu's final big shebang?

Reading the title of the video made me think it was a criticism of the new game, then after I finished watching the video I was like, "It was just the intro to the game?" What makes this custom intro unique is if you never played this, you would be curious about how this turns out as you see Kiryu in this final epic adventure as the Dragon of Dojima.

Can't say for certain, but I know people complain about them because they tend to spoil things. I'd rather have them and just skip it before I finish it though rather than non at all. The intro to 0 is one of the things that made me give it a chance.

The editing style is the same but you have too look closely. I admit I`m a little touchy with spoilers, I even hate bosses spoilers but I think that what really bothers me is Haruka`s hit and run scene. There`s a big portion of the game were you really don`t know what happened to Haruka and watching this intro would kill that dramatic tension.
While not my favorite yakuza game (kiwami 5 and 0 have that honor) 6 was still a amazing game
Big Lo is completely missing even though he is somewhat important, instead there are scenes with Ed, who is only involved in the fighting. Too much Someya as well (8 scenes lmao).

I like the final boss song, I'll admit, but I think DESTINY would have been a better song for this fan intro. Just my opinion. Either way you killed it, good job.
