    From the lovely niagara falls to the beautiful banff mountains, canada is like a very sculptured piece of art. With different cultures, not clashing, but accepting of each other.
    I come from the prairies of manitoba, where the forests and lakes make it look like an ominous destination, rich with wildlife and beautiful during the 4 seasons; Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. Canada is just a great place to stay, what with our accepting nature, diverse people, plenty of land and jobs, great education (am going to take courses in education and english so I could teach in asia, looking at you china, korea, japan) so if your thinking of moving here consider not only of money but enjoyment and how you'd interact with the people around you

    Last time I was at YYZ Airport in Toronto in 1995, it was small airport that had 2 terminals - one round terminal as an international terminal which housed many Canadian flights and international flights plus the U.S. major airlines and another one was a domestic terminal which housed many Air Canada flight. But now it is really bigger just like Chicago/O’Hare International Airport. My cousins who live in the Toronto area said that I would get lost for sure. I would love to experience there one day.

    Toronto , or know as Pearson International airport is a very large airport, and even myself, who has flown out of the airport so many times, I literally see a new section of Pearson that I have not seen or travelled out of any other of the times. So, get to Toronto Pearson airport in good time to ensure that long lineups don’t cause delays for your flight ; it’s a very well kept , exceptionally clean international airport with excellent signage in English and French (since Canada has two official languages).

    The fact that it's technically not in Toronto throws tourists off, as when they're landing they see the city of Mississauga skyline, think it's really Toronto, and always say how small it is...Mississauga is where the airport is, but Toronto is next to it. Technically, Mississauga it's it's own city, but Toronto didn't have the space for a huge air port, so they put it there instead. It's a nice, easy to find your way around, medium sized airport (once you've been to Heathrow, or Chicago, Pearson seems tiny in comparison). Flying to LA on Sunday, I hate flying, but it's too far to drive, so Pearson here we come, at 3am no less! At least it will be empty at that time. Go during business hours and it's a zoo!

      Heathrow is a monster and is virtually at full capacity; when and if the third runway gets the green light, with the accompanying terminal 6,it will just about eclipse everything else in Europe!(btw, London is served by 3 other international airports as well, excluding Heathrow!)

      I love both T1 and T3. YYZ is home for me and I would take drives to the airport to walk around the terminal just for fun and see where people are going. The airport serves as a great place for ethnographic research as one can see the diversity of people that pass through any airport around the world. My favorites in Canada are Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver (yes, in that order). In the US...DFW, LAX, SFO and JFK. Around the world: HKG has amazing variety of carriers. T2 Is not a serious terminal though it has check-in and departure immigration clearance facilities. Singapore Changi is my all-time favorite owing to variety of flights, entertainment, shopping and dining. Paris CDG is an awesome terminal in Europe

    Reminds me of my first visit to Canada in 1981 with my 3 year old daughter. The airport and city were absolutely beautiful. I cannot say the same for the immigration, however, because of their shabby treatment. They literally interrogated me from 7.30 p.m. that July evening until 2 a.m. the following morning, simply because they could understand why a single dad would go on vacation and take his 3 year old with him. Five different officers interviewed me before the 5th (a female) granted me permission to enter the country. By then I had missed my connecting 9 p.m. flight to Winnipeg where I intended to stay with my cousin and his Canadian wife. And because I knew no one in Toronto who we could spend the night with, my daughter had to sleep on the airport benches throughout the night while I stayed awake to watch over her. We eventually got an 11 a.m. flight the next day to Winnipeg where we vacationed for 3 weeks before returning home. I still love Canada and it remains in the top 5 countries out of the 37 countries I have visited. I have been back there twice. But ask me if I like the immigration??? LoL.

    • @MichaelJirochVisualArtist
      @MichaelJirochVisualArtist  8 років тому +2

      It's very big, so itch only one hour between flights, no time to sight see the airport. Go directly to transferring gate ASAP. REMEMBER, YOU STILL HAVE TO GO THRU A PASSPORT CHECK. And that can eat up previous time.

    • @jessevermeulen7446
      @jessevermeulen7446 8 років тому +2

      The airline currently isn't in an alliance, so therefor Pearson will put it in terminal 3. The easy way to remember is that Terminal 1 is only for Star Alliance airlines only (with some exceptions ie. Sunwing and Emirates) and all other airlines that are either with One World, Skyteam, or are unaffiliated with an alliance (Air Transat, Westjet) are placed at Terminal 3.

    All people in a country are not bad, but not their own. There's no world where the border between the countries and the people does not exist. The police did not need to control the people, and all the people of the world lived peaceably and peacefully, without danger for each other.

      +Michael Jiroch Actually I am planning to go to Canada for higher studies
      What's your take sir?

    • @MichaelJirochVisualArtist
      @MichaelJirochVisualArtist  8 років тому

      +Saad Khan ...my take? Canada is a nice country with very nice people. The people are never aggressive, except at hockey games. Toronto is a great city to live in. They may get a little nuts at curling matches. Toronto? It has everything. But personally, I could only live there during the summer...the rest of the year is all winter. It's really a hot-cold issue with me.

      Since you live in usa
      We all know that usa is a world leader in economy.
      I really wanna ask you sir
      Does it really helping a common man in usa?

      Saad Khan yes, yes it does. Our middle class has upward mobility. Which allows us to succeed or fail through meritocracy. (Obama and and his cohorts are trying to erase meritocracy in all aspects of life, and have it all divided by skin color...uh, where in history has that ever worked?

    • @MichaelJirochVisualArtist
      @MichaelJirochVisualArtist  9 років тому +1

      Landing shots can be tricky, because there can be rough landings and all one gets is shaky cam shots. Also, if a flight attendant is near, they may tell you to store your camera at landing time. Sometimes I get lucky and get a good landing shot, but not this time.
