I grew up in Toronto in the 60s, I rember this section very well. it's very interesting to see the modern version of the city with so few people at 6 am or so. So many changes; still a great city, but I'm happy to live in a small town now.

I haven't been to downtown Toronto for a long time.I missed all the CDs and record stores and book stores such as A&A Records, Sam The Record Man, Coles The World Largest Bookstore and later on Coles Chapters.
I had a feeling that this was a weekend recording, taken in the early morning or holiday again, in the early morning. I went to Ryerson for 4 years and then I took night classes their after I graduated. So I know that specific area very well!

2016 first change to see Toronto for a week. We stayed at hotel, dine out, sight seeing and shopping. Very impressed cleanliness downtown and along subways.So much pride. Locals were very pleasant. People in Ottawa have cold attitudes because conservative government city. Lots of trash every where. Tell many American people to visit Toronto. They'll get their monies worth.
Just live this video. Overtaking Tram at 4.56 min and opposite Tram at 6.00very good. Not many high-rise buildings. Would love to visit in warmer August.

Neat and clean,, Love the tracks in the middle of the road.. What happens in those Winters with that 4 feet of snow? Interesting to see that.. I did my share of driving a snow-plow during blizzards in Connecticut.. I can't imagine what they do up there..
There always a spacial tram - track cleaner in tram fleet, in snowy places like Toronto. But maybe they use trucks with snow cleaning equipment here, I dunno for sure. We in Moscow use tram. So it's not a problem in general.
If it'd be the real "above ground subway" - as any modern tram has to be - it'd be awesome! But it's not so in Toronto, sadly, it's still obsolete N-American "streetcar", mere local bus on rail, with too frequent stops, no landing platforms, no traffic-light's change for tram. The pluses are only new low-floor tram fleet (partially), tracks go all thru the city, rather good quality of track (compare to some other places like here in Moscow, for example)/
@SN - 08AA - Glenhaven Sr PS (1173) Looks like just the old generation is being phased out, with newer style. Some people will miss the iconic oldschool ones.

Must have been a Sunday or something. Drive there during the weekdays and you won't be moving.
Even on a Sunday Yonge and Dundas is packed with people, this must have been shot very early in the morning.
