I want an Origin Effects Amp with a 12 inch speaker - something about the size of a Blue Cube HOT. Comp, Overdrive, Vibrato, and Digital Reverb included.
The settings at 4:26 are almost exactly where I have mine set for my strat. I’m doing a little less attack, little less ratio, and OUT at noon. Beautiful
Top 5 pedal all-time IMHO. My Cali76 is always on. There's compressor pedals, and then there's the C76. Its in its own league. I found it trying many compressors while aiming for Gilmour's "Brick in the Wall" tone. Every other compressor I've tried significantly changes the tone and feel. They give sustain, but take away crispness and dynamics, adding a "thuddy" feel. The C76 is magic. It gives all of the benefits of compression - sustain, bit of squish, and sort of gels notes together - with none of the downsides. It still sounds and feels natural and dynamic. It does add a slight sheen to the tone but to me the result just sounds more like records. Not to mention its noise floor is very low. Bravo Origin!
I just purchased a Compact Deluxe and I'm really loving it. I've been pretty resistant to pedal comps over the years but I think for once I might have bonded! I'm got some favourite settings for my slide tones and wrangling my 12 string.
Great overview, thank you! I'd love to see a direct comparison of 9V vs. 18V, especially on the Compact Bass. Maybe, you could make a video about that. Pretty please. :D
It all depends on what you're trying to achieve. The classic guitar placement is right up front, great for finger picking and shaping clean guitars. A more studio approach would be after drives but before time based effects like Reverb/Delay. Evening out all of your playing for smoother, more consistent space effects.
i just bought the limited edition etched version of the compact deluxe. i still dont know if i should have gone for the stacked edition as ive played neither of them. never been so unsure of a purchase, felt like a woman buying a handbag or whatever they do. it wasnt the money, i thought itd be better for me personally but i still will never know. ive read people who go back to the cd and people that love the stacked. mixed emotions 🤣🙃 oh well, can always return it and swap it. what does david gilmour use thesedays? did he get a stacked or stick with the cd.. 🤔
Gilmour has some CDs. The CD is fantastic and every bit as versatile as the Stacked Edition, giving you more control over your compressor exact settings than the SE. The Stacked tends to fall more into the "Compression as an effect' catagory for most.
I sing through this pedal it’s very magical on vocals! Thanks for creating this pedal…

Where should this go in my signal chain? Currently running guitar>stomp tuner>EP Booster>reverb/delay>overdrive>Tweed Vibrolux.

How did you end up liking it? Did you ever try the SE version?
Good idea to demonstrate how to make best uses of your pedals, but when do you have something new coming for guitar??
Always got stuff in the pipeline... But not too long.
Nice video
thanks for this ...
Compression makes such an impact on my tone and playing..took me years to appreciate it though 🤪
..bought a Love Squeeze and never looked back 💛
