None of this is for sale anymore and is long gone.
There were new in the box units from the 1960's to the 1990's, including parts, manuals and more. There was home and car audio as well as visual.
Some of the brands that were in the warehouse include:
Pioneer, Denon, Accuphase, JVC, Technics, BIC, Shure, Grado, Audio Technica, Macintosh and more.
Some of the units sold included:
Amplifiers, Preamps, Signal Processors, Turntables, Headphones, Car Audio, Laser Disc Players, KEF, Castle, Quad and more. - Навчання та стиль
I couldn’t concentrate on what he’s saying with that label on his hat 😂😂😂👏👏love the old equipment though 👌I think we are all vintage addicts here
101 percent
this video gets me excited , I have watched it a couple times , and it is nice to know there are still finds like this out there . I can appreciate the excitement of seeing all the Vintage gear . Thank You for sharing ! . Ray in Pa.
Meanwhile, we poor mortals continue to search for the perfect sound equipment... .
Got my first hifi setup in 1974. A Pioneer SX-434 receiver, BIC 920 turntable and KLH model 31 speakers. All for under $250. I see it's not all high end stuff in your video but I could spend hours looking through that inventory. What a treat.
OMG! Let me in there for 10 minutes and point me to the Marantz stuff.
Neil Spector for real. My dad had the Marantz receiver with “quadrophonic sound”. If I remember right that meant 8 channels. The “A” section with L&R and L&R, the “B” section with same. Just the touch, the feel, oozed quality. Does anyone remember touching the tuner dial? It was a horizontal dial that had a silky smooth action where if you gave it a good flick it would glide like butter across the RF spectrum. Butter. Did I say butter? Butter. Every dial felt like a Mercedes as opposed to a Chevy.
Back when quality ruled over empty flash. Marantz.
Quadraphonic= 4 channels only
My head would have exploded had I walked into that space... simply unbelievable! - I hope it all went to appreciative new owners!
Its absolutely wonderful to see old things that still have a purpose - and the old hifi is interesting too! Greetings and warm regards from a hifi loving relic from New Zealand!
This is amazing. A time capsule for someone who grew up in the newer generation.
That was a very cool video with lots of great vintage gear and paraphernalia, but now I'm kind of interested in the story behind this? Why was all this valuable audio equipment just sitting around in a warehouse unsold for so many decades, and did the guy giving the tour ever explain the background? How do you even sell that huge mass of valuable, vintage equipment and get anywhere close to what's it's worth?
This was Oshawa Stereo Sound in Oshawa Ontario Canada, the owner's name was Julius, he passed away at the age 82 about 10 years ago with all the inventory unsold. I have been there a few times, was a surreal experience, it was a joke actually. The JVC XL-Z1010 CD player (the one he holds in the video) was a Stereophile class A recommend comment and a giant killer in the day, it sold for around a grand in the late 80's, he still wanted list price for everything, and of course nobody bought very much. His family liquidated for pennies on the dollar when he died. A forum post from Canuck Audiomart talks about it BIT. .....
"Mike the fellas' name is Julius. He is in his early 80's. The store is Oshawa Stereo Sound and is on Taunton Road in Oshawa. Julius has been around since the late 70's I believe. The fella who started Whitby Audio (Dave Johann) got his start in audio working for Julius way back when.
I have bought a bunch of stuff from Julius over the years. People have been trying to buy Julius' inventory for over a decade now but he's declined. A few years ago I approached Julius knowing that he was interested in selling off his inventory. His price back then was "$1Million for everything" including his parts collection, a massive amount of obsolete trade-in gear, and a warehouse full of gear in storage next to his storefront. Most of his stuff is NIB product from the 80's and 90's. He's got a ton of JVC's superdigifine series.
Julius' prices are typically MSRP and he's not much into dealing."
Yes, that is true from what I know. I spent 5 days a week in there for 8 months selling stuff for him. It was a surreal experience. He not only wanted full list price, but amortized the value year by year. We sold new in the box nakamichi tape decks to a guy in texas for thousands of dollars. Then he bought more! He bought $12, 000 total worth of Nakamichi units, and the way Julius priced things that was only 3 units. I really got to know Julius over that time and miss talking with him. He had seen a LOT in his life, and had fascinating tales. He was a great man.
I can't believe what I looking at here, this is mind-blowing. Fantastic indeed....
July 2019 and I am drooling .... what a fantastic find. I hope the guys that bought the stuff really enjoy it.
My wife cries over romantic movies and I’m crying while watching this video. Where’s the sansui gear .
I bought the 1130 receiver brand new back in day😀
pioneer boy here but im with you pal.
That is awesome!! Wonder what ever became of all that equipment? Thank you vintagestereos, For taking us back in time and sharing what time had forgot for so long, Also having us imagine what it would be like to own all of that. Great video,
Great video. I really enjoyed your enthusiasm. What an amazing find!!!!
I am in heaven - used to be a hifi salesman in that era!
It was truly a sight to behold.
Are there some Pioneer sx 1980 or 1250 receivers and pl 530 turntables and rt 909 reel to reel equipment sealed in box there????????
I enjoyed this video much and many thanks for sharing : )
+bwild61 You're welcome, thanks for watching!
absolutely , me too ! like a time capsule walk back in time !
Amazing ...I´m speechless. All these wonderful gear from the time, when analogue was what we listened to, and finally are doing again, thank god. Down thumbs here are unfortunately lack of culture and hifi knowledge.
This is a gold mine !
Is my gold dream to have one new Stereo Audio Syswtem Vintage, JVC, Pioneer, Technics, etc..Actually an impressive collection. Sadelly is not for sale, in t it? Congratullations!!
Hello Sr ! I know this is an old video , but i have to say : CONGRATULATIONS !!! If you sold it or not is no the issue ! The important is : you see it ! in person ! Greetingd from Argentina !!!!
That is really nice vintage equipment!
there used to be a market for things that sounded great. listening through an Iphone speaker still sounds like an AM transistor radio to me compared to my Sansui Quad speaker system with 12" speakers, sony turn table playing Ghost in the machine on vinyl I had in the 80's
yep, I have put together a sweet-sounding system and all I get is grief from the war dept. Everyone now wants that alexa speaker or some other crap, especially the ladies, don't want that good sound stuff cluttering up their house, instead, junky antiques and cats
real cool!! grew up with all that stuff ....
I can smell the place! Used to work in a storage warehouse for a large Japanese brand: audio, video and accessories. Home, car and portable. Stacking the wood cabinet floor-model TVs 3 high, by hand, in a tight space. (Showing my age.) What a great job for an audio loving teen.
I grew up in the same era where servicing became my passion; imagine going back in time and see it first hand again, "incredible collection" great video, thanks for the look back in time.
+John Cunningham It truly was an incredible collection. Being there was surreal. I'll be sharing my story about my experiences there soon. Thanks for watching.
in need YAMAHA M-85 Amplifire for 12 inches spearkers .. Dual Mono. send me reply now
Patiently and humbly awaiting the amazing story.
There's nothing like a warehouse find of vintage stuff!
Any audio guy seeing this has to be brought to tears. This is so awesome The Holy Grail of audio finds for damn sure.
Cf
A lot of very nice new in box stuff, really cool.
I am watching this 2017 and drooling
2019 and drooling!
2024 drooling and crying
Holy crap....this is absolutely amazing. I grew up during this era and actually saw my Garrard turntable and a poster that had my JVC camcorder! This stuff is definitely not junk....there is a huge market for vintage stereo and I would assume anything that is mint in an unopened box would be the holy grail to someone.....too bad that place wasn't close to where I live. It was truly unbelievable.
John Messina.
Hi John I can't agree more my friend. I'm in The UK. I wish I could get over there & be alowed to chose the 7 items I'd like for building my own system. Oh Yeh & some high end speakers to go with it too. Jimbo.
This is when stuff was made great. The only thing that I would caution on items this old is to make sure the belts are good in the tape decks and old amps should probably be brought up with a variac. I'm sure with minor care, these units are fabulous. I wish I could have been part of this. Thanks for sharing. Very cool.
I saw this video in 2012 for the first time when living in Javia Xabia Spain. In 2017 I arrived in Tacoma WA USA. And have bought two complete Pioneer Spec 1 and 2 based rack sets over here last few years and my house full with 70 other vintage 70's golden hifi age gear (I'm not Spanish but Dutch, but I just lived ih Spain for 4 years between March 2010 and december 2014. After that I lived a year in San José Costa Rica and in jan 2016 till march that year in Panama City, Panama etc etc. Were I have watched this same video also over and over again in my Hotel Rooms! ).
Funny to see this video now again when I do own two Spec sets myself thus. But it all started with this UA-cam video I watched the first time while still living in Spain!
Absolutely amazing. I bet you never slept for weeks until you heard you never got the contract. looks like one of them jobs people dream about having. Nice one thanks for the memories it conjoured up.
Wow wish i could have spent one day in the building picking the pieces i wanted what a collection some people got some great stereos from here im sure
Oh my god... here's my credit card and keep the list on. I'll be in there for awhile! -- Atco
What a pleasure to watch.
Love your collection
Honestly all I need is a good vintage amp and my sys will be complete. how to contact? Is any of this for sale?
I'll take the Nakamichi stuff!
Don’t forget LUXMAN
Lmaou
I'm sure there are some gems, most of it is just old junk, land fill, I suspect its just old crap that wasn't sold and end up there, presume it has to go somewhere. Suspect there are a few of these places around. Also the caps are questionable after 35 yrs. Interesting but just old junk.
@@nickmazz9345 I never saw such a Idiot like you, some is old junk, yes, but at least 70% are Ture gems... Is Accuphase and Luxman trash?
Can somebody explain to me the DVD players in boxes ?
this is just amazing and thrilling and your cap is an original....
70s, 80s, whatever...it would be so cool to dig through all that stuff.
This reminds me of Raider Of The Lost Ark.
LOL!!! At :39, I recognize that Pioneer sx-750 on the left. :) Looks like the same table i have on top, my old yamaha. :) That's a lotta gear!!!
Very neat those products found customers. I have a few Marantz, Kenwood, Pioneer receivers from the late 1970's. Nothing like this of course. He said about 5 million in stock. I would believe it. The older stereo components are getting big-time attention on eBay and other consumer sites. It is amazing.
I seen some boxes that had SX on it, i'm drooling right now
I'm very old school in terms of stereo's and all that.
this is one hell of a great video, and im sure you will have no trouble in selling this collection....i would give everything i own just for a walk round in there, and if i had 5 million u.s,i would be buying the lot!!!!you have some seriously good pieces of kit in there, some great brands, and never to be seen again like this!
All the stuffs are treasure , it do really wonderful.
Outstanding! You lucky soul and thanks for sharing. I'm always amazed at the dicks who leave asinine comments on otherwise great videos like yours.
TheRudydog1 Hey, that's one of the best comments so far. It is a cool thing and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
vintagestereos Thank You and you're most welcome. It's like you're walking through a dream and sharing it with us. Almost unbelievable.
Where is that warehouse located please let me know.
I am living in Austria and very interested.
Ramon Borreguero
did you find out where that warehouse is located i'm living in norway
People! Read the video description! This was filmed years ago! The equipment was all sold years ago. The video is old.
Even though a lot of its a lower end in my book what's the location of all the stuff
Bro how can I get some of this equipment down to India. Could I order some.
I just want to get some of this Old Technics Audio so so much ;(
They already had DVD-players in the Eighties: 3:35
yup. Most of the stuff I saw were 80's and 90's
Amazing & mouth watering!!
The collection is very wide, great ,exhaustive ! Very nice revelation, thank you ! If I got into that store ; I would opt for a complete SONY HiFi system !
I don’t want JVC, Accuphase Ok. 😂
The main question that everybody were asking is: What is the purpose of this show-off video if none of them are for sale? What?
HiFi Roz it’s a 7 year old video, probably sold and the description has been updated!
I'm getting vintage, I watched this several years ago and it took 30 seconds to remember.....
do you happen to know if they have a new Akai GX-77 reel to reel deck or a Pioneer RT-909 tape deck new in the box. Would like to buy one of each or one period. Thank you, Kim
How much is your baseball cap?
This is a TREASURE man ...
You are the best ! Greetings from Romania - Europe!
this plays in my mind over and over again
haha! You too?
@@vintagestereos yes but with many cerwin vegas
Hi, I'm not selling this gear. I was years ago but not anymore. Thanks for watching.
Well that sucks. ..this one truly one of a kind deal. ..
So what the hell are you going to do with it?
@@cjmmjc2131 nothing he’s just your typical hoarder. Dude just collects mostly cheap gear and stacks it lol
@@MichelLinschoten when he dies his kids wont want his shit and they will sell it for pennies.
Whata douchebag
Imagine the magnificent Reel to Reel machines in this warehouse??? This is the candy store of my dreams. The only components that might age are the caps and rubber belts. The beauties in this warehouse deserve good homes. Compare this to today's audio junk.
All I always purchased is vintage, ran into some issues and had to sell many stuff, but my sound system went into storage, went and go it out moved back to PA, and a neighbor goes like, dude can you get this radio that is on my way and I don't understand anything about it, he get fed up with it, when I went to check "the radio" It was a Onkyo TX-DS797, that's the creme of onkyo vintage, it was complete with huge speakers and all its parts, all it needed was coaxial sound wires and that's it, I had a pair inside a box of sound stuff, a bit of bad side was that I couldn't resist to put it together and didn't realize the value was in 80 and it make the walls vibrate at 3am, I'll be expecting the dirty looks 👀. LMAO, it has so many settings 😂😆😁. Excellent piece of equipment, and free 😂..
Love it!

Where is this place????????
It's gone.
vintagestereos Gone where?
yeah, at least one other person has asked the obvious questions. What is the story here? Why did it sit for 35 years? Also, why would a business sit on that much inventory for that long and not think anything of it. Just doesn't happen (or so I thought until seeing this) C'mon. Let's have some backstory. Spit it out.
I'm working on it. Sorry it's taking so long.
4 years later . . . we are still waiting
@@Drpepper7916 yep
@@vintagestereos so what's the story? 🙂
This is jaw dropping.... incredible.... somebody scored big time getting some of this gear
Hammy! I see you all over different youtube video comments. I'm honoured.
@@vintagestereos The honor is mine. Thank you for your channel.
Any open reel tape decks?
I'm interested in purchasing at least a few of them!
Show me a room like this full of late 50's early 60's tube audio, THEN I'll drool..
You'd have to replace all of the filter caps, but much of it would be worth a mint in today's market.
What do you want with low power, low dampening distorting 50s 60s tube amps?
There are plenty reasons why the superior silicon took the lead.
@George Miller yea. But not because they are superior. Because some people subjectively have the taste of liking the sound of tubes.
Because tubes distort, which makes this warm sound. A tube is completely unlinear and even with circuitry to prevent that it is far away from a perfectly linear silicon.
With this linearity you have all capabilitys to change the sound to your likings.
Also you need to stick to like 10 Watts speakers with extremely light membrane and wont ever get a too good bass response because of damping factors under 10
I found an old tube stereo amp in my shed recently,it's a gold color Peak ST-100.Do any of you know anything about them please coz i can't find much info on the net.
@@dom3827 You should listen to a good tube amp driving a Klipschorn speaker. 10 Watts will either have the neighbors calling the police, or running to your house to join the party. 10 watts will drive those puppys over 120db. And sound damn sweet at the same time. It doesnt have to always be about whats "superior" or 'Linear". And the bass from those 15" woofers will blow "her clothes off". Sometimes its just about the music. Peace out.
So 5 years on has this stock been sold, scrapped or still there? It's not worth anything if it's not being sold! For all those saying it's just low end junk I think I'd rather see the newbies who are getting into vinyl use this rather than certain suitcase style turntables!
The old stuff is the good stuff. I've God old amps that sound aT better than plastic fantastic.and they look hot
Possible to buy? Where is this equipment for sale? Please give a link in the video description (or write me in a private message)
Omg....I'm in tears .I want it all ..my kind of place to be . Top brands n brand new ..I mean look at the high end system n speakers . Man wish I could hve been in there...
Absolutely! HEAVEN DOES EXIST ON EARTH. Heard Nakamichi mentioned 💦 Vintage Sansui would definately be the icing on My cake. Oh, & in Silver ONLY 🍻
Holly grail just been discovered :)
i know this gold mine is gone dammitt !
Great questions. I'll be getting into all that in the next couple of months. I want to tell the story but it takes time to make videos and upload them.
So what happened to all this gear? did it get auctioned of on ebay or sold individually?Cheers
i cant believe my eyes! its incredible.... wow
The 27 people who gave it a thumbs down don't know true power and sound and probably never will. It's ok with cause i have mine!!
27 complete and total idiots.
I agree!
Somebody really liked JVC..
probably a jvc dealer's inventory.
As did I., all the way thru the my first, KD-25 deck, then KD A55, and finally the DD7 that I still have and is still functioning to this very day.
Its used to be Victor. A good Japanese brand
do you have something from 1960, because i have a Garnet speaker with alnico magnet. That site is my dream,
I am looking for a pioneer sx 850, do you have any left?
can we have the back story about this discovery
I'll do what I can to get the story on video and posted soon.
Three years now, did you ever post the story?
my god that was a a pioneer sx 3800... a stack of brand new sx 3800?
I'd kill for a chance...
Pioneer was crap. Marantz, Sansui...5 Million Dollars my ass.
is there anything left? o maaaan,is 2018 now,is there anything left lil receiver for me please!?
Is there any new reel to reel decks?
This seems shady to me. Those DVD players aren't from the 70's, that's for sure.
n0tyham What's shady about this? I'm not even selling it. Of course the DVD players weren't from the 70s, neither were a lot of the newer receivers, tapes decks and other stuff but for the love of god look at all the cool vintage stuff that IS there!
Shady, eh? Please explain. I'd love to hear how you came to that conclusion.
Imagine having 24hrs there by yourself making a pile to take home..... this hurts
Pretty cool, but 90 percent of this stuff is low- to mid-fi doorstop material. Whoever invested in this will be hard-pressed to make a profit unless they inherited it.
i totally agree' mostly pioneer and jvc junk..yhose s[peakers were real shit' the accuphase will sell for a few bucks, but if the guy who bought all this crap' has the time to keep posting it on ebay...hope he makes his money back, unless he's a real snook!
High end audio my ass.
Rubbish it all good retro gear
Department store quality and some table radios.
You should slow down the video and look closer. True there was plenty of mid-fi there. But I saw lots of reel to reels, and top of the line Sansui and Nakamichi. Even the top of the line Pioneer is pretty good. (which there is quit a lot there in addition to the so-so mid-fi) There are lots of gold nuggets there. You just had to dig thorough all the crap JVC stuff and dvd players. One example is the several boxes of Nakamichi Dragon cassette players. You can tell me they are crap all day long but they sell for $1500 to $3000 EACH all day long in nice used condition. And to get one NEW in the BOX? Jesus... I dont know. $5000? And he didnt have one or two.. He had stacks of them...
It would have been neat to take a sample of each more component that's aged well in the market and have engineers analyze the values of circuit components vs heavily used working examples.
OMG That’s amazing 🤩 Incredible that places like this exist… makes you wonder how many other places like this still exist? I would love spending a month sorting and cataloging all the equipment 🤩
I don't think I'll be able to remove the stain from my pants
Take the tag off your frigging cap.
it's what the cool kids do! :)
Why would something so small bother you?
vintagestereos
It bothered a few people not just me.
UA-cam just seems brings out the cunt in people no matter how good the videos are.
TheRudydog1
Don't be that hard on the poor guy in the video.
I need a brandy new (unused / unpacked) Technics Digital Sound Processor SH-GE90. Do you have any?
OH HOLY GOD THIS IS AWESOME! What amazing hoarder collected this stash
