“Spark” was chosen as the battle theme for the All-Japan University e-Sports Competition 2021, hence lyrics like "Follow Me, Take a Steady Aim" and "Gunshots, Gunshots, Gotcha, Gotcha, Gunshots, Gunshots".
Strange choice of word Jim used to describe the intro, "Battle". Conspiracy theorists the world over are spending considerably few seconds pondering why he used that word.😏

Band-Maid re-wires your brain.
Many of Band-Maid's songs were commissioned as themes for TV shows like Bubble or Anime openings like Sense or this one for e-sports competition. Play to win. And as with all Band-Maid songs you can always read into it more than one meaning. Miku's sustained scream gets me every time. Band-Maid is the best damn band on the planet. You can find all kinds of musical influences in their music. I just call it #BandMaidmusic. It is literally becoming its own genre. Regards.
This is one of my favorites that few people know about. The Notes Miku holds during the song are the best. I also love how the first sound in the song is a gun being cocked.

Hi Jim, Haven't seen you for a while, but glad you you're back. Just to let you know, that the three track single- Sense (Anime sound track commission), Corallium and Spark are a latest single and not from their last album. Great reaction as usual and yes these three tracks are some of the most developed and complex arrangements.
every time you listen to a song over again lock on to a different instrument. it is like a whole song lives in another song.
Thanks, Jim, nice to have you back. Especially reacting to album stuff, which not many reactors go for. Spark was my favorite off the Sense EP. I felt it when you said, "It's thrash, but it's catchy, it's a mixture of so many different things, wrapped up in this really chaotic catchy package". Band-Maid have a way of molding chaos into great music.
Gottcha. Love this song. FUN can sum it up. Play it for everybody. This was made for an esports competition last year in Japan. BAND-MAID is just effin Awesome. Peace.

Funny you said fight song. It's the song for a E-Sports Competition. This is on the Sense single. It's not on the new album Unseen World. My favorite is Corallium. You should check out some of the songs on their album that don't have videos! Why Why Why, Chemical Reaction, and Giovani are excellent.

What?! Jim, have you not made all of your friends and family listen to BAND-MAID yet? That's what it sounded like. You better get on that immediately. If I had any friends I would have converted them to full Maidiacs already. There's just my cat and he's already a fan. Plus his purchasing power is pretty limited.
Only musical musicians can pull that off. There are so many things going on yet it all fits together into a masterpiece. Band-Maid is so amazing. I hope they sing that when I see them live in Seattle 10/12/22.
People prefer pre recorded, auto tuned bullshit broadcasted on TV instead of real music. C’est la vie. Last two years proved that people follow more TV news and music. Easy food.
