Got into U2 1983 , i also saw them on the Joshua Tree Tour ,,reinventing themself for the 90s is what makes them legendary , Zooropa takes me right back to Ibiza 1993 , U2 were still very relevant when Pop was released 1997 , an album that gets a bad wrap at times , put it up against The Cure Wild Mood Swings , R.E.M Up and Echo & The Bunnymen's Evergreen its perfectly fine
I love U2 as you know so this is very much a video for me. Love the live stories and your thoughts on them. I like their current stuff as well, and won’t join in the sport called slag U2 because we’ve decided they somehow irked us. Thank you, just what I needed today. Cheers from Morten
Glad you enjoyed it! Yep I can’t understand the hate for Bono who thru my eyes only try’s to do some good with his position and wealth - but they were never a “cool” band so I don’t care !! Glad that’s helped you out today - stay well 🫡👍🍻
@@gavaxemanspins Thank you again. Been a really really shit week, despite good music and such, so was good to see I’m not the worlds last U2 fan on top of it all. Yeah, public oppinion is a right old sodd!
Loved Bill Flanagans book ..thankfully I have a copy..hard to get these days..post 2000 u2 kind of turned into coldplay..nice but run of the mill tunes..Get on your boots was the worst thing they ever released! As an aside Mobys recent two volume autobiography is an excellent read as is Brett Andersons..

@@marky1974 no arguments here with Boots - awful song - although the recent RSD dance mix of Atomic City was even worse
