LET IT RUST!! Rusty Raleigh Record unique custom city cruiser!

This is a short bike check on an 80s Raleigh Record that I intentionally rusted to make some incredible patina and upgraded it with some modern components to make it a one of a kind city bike.

And here I am trying my best to avoid ANY rust anywhere on my bikes.
Doesn’t the rust eat away at the frame and cause weakness?
I have to admit the overall look is cool but I couldn’t be brave enough to do this.

It's just surface rust, and I clear coated the surface to stop the process so it's like paint now.

A uniquely cool finish ! I like the simple setup as well, 6 gears is enough to get around town. I’m sure the new owner is gonna like it a lot!
