Antonio Brooks It’s all because those god damn movies nobody takes them seriously anymore but without them Marvel wouldn’t have any of their iconic characters.
The Fantastic Four comic introduced the Skrulls, the Kree( Ronan, Sentry 459), the Inhumans, Doctor Doom, the Watcher, Blue Area of the moon, Galactus, the Silver Surfer, Black Panther and Wakanda, Klaw, and so many other characters that help make up the Marvel Universe as we know it. It truly was "The World's Greatest Comic Magazine!"
It Jack Kirby that came up with the concept of the Silver Surfer and Black Panther. He is just as much responsible if not more for the creation of the FF. It's not all about Stan, yanno.
@@Blissfullybadansbouji It seems that YOU'RE the dumb@ss since you have not done enough research, kid. Next thing you'll say, is that Bob Kane was really the one behind Batman.😆

Kevin Tran Watchmojo does some of them and yes... Of course you couldn't compare watchmojo to variant but at least give them some credit on its pretty good.
My favorite is the Invisible Woman!! I love the fact that she and Mister Fantastic have one of the longest and most successful relationships in comics. And little Franklin and Valeria are so cute! Can you do a history of each individual member?
I agree. I love how the marriage of Reed & Sue has stood the test of time. As a long time married man myself, I always found it annoying that there's this idea that characters are only interesting if they're single & mired in romance drama.
No need to fear they're here, Just call the four! Fantastic Four! (Don't need no more, that's ungrammatical!) Reed Richards is elastic, Sue can fade from sight, Johnny is the Human Torch, the Thing just loves to fight! Call the Four, Fantastic Four!
2:48 the fantastic four origins could really tie up with the recent events of the eternals. I mean in the ending of the movie arishem suddenly showed up to judge the remaining eternals back on earth surrounding the earth with vast amounts of cosmic energy and when mcu's reed richards and family was tasked on a mission to find a new habitable planet due to the earth's sudden massive overpopulation due to the effects of the blip, they would be exposed to the cosmic energy as they were to leave the planet.
I just like how Stan Lee writes his stories and characters off of tired out tropes DC is known for that he can not stand. I think that’s what makes his work stand out.
Can you do a video just on the Ultimate universe? I think it's very interesting how in that universe they're willing to make changes to the status quo, like Reed Richards becoming a super villain or killing off Peter Parker.
it's amazing that the x-men and avengers have changed so much (sometimes its better) but the fantastic 4 for the most part stays the same since 1961 and the quality of thier comics didn't change at all
I am surprised that you did not mention some of the alternate members of the team, like Ant Man, Ms. Marvel, Storm, and Black Panther. Nor did you mention the "New Fantastic Four", consisting of Spider Man, Ghost Rider, Wolverine, and The Hulk.
The Future Foundation wasn't a thing until about 40ish years after Stan Lee stopped writing them. Jonathan Hickman is the one who put the thought into that
Arris would you please consider doing a history of doctor doom? Or maybe talk about why doctor Doom's origin is always roped in with the fantastic four in the movies. Many thanks.
Jay Trace Writer Mark Waid explains that in the 10 cent issue years ago. Reed feels guilty for making his family and friends into freaks. So he decides they won’t be. Essentially it’s a PR stunt to help them normalize to their new status. Instead of being monsters, they are public figures, celebrities. He wants everyone to know how great his family is, so refused to let them hide. Very good comic, I highly recommend it.
I used to really lik human torch but when you see how deep of a character mr.fantastic is it’s hard not to make him your favorite.. he is almost always the one EVERYONE in the marvel universe go to if they have a problem they can’t fix .. he it’s a genius
can you do a history of the title given by eternity, like how Mr. fantastic is the explorer, iron man is the engineer, hulk is the planet destroyer, and so on... i wonder how many title are there out there
I think I like them more then The Avengers. I like them but there's not many characters on their that I love like Batman. Also I love how the fantastic four is a true family. It's lovely.
great work, very informative and insightful. i am not a giant FF fan but i like them. success of the JL team comic in 1960s encouraged marvel people to tell stan lee to create a team comic and he created FF if i am not mistaken, i keep my fingers crossed for upcoming FF movie to be good
It's 2017 and less than hour away from 2018. If you are just now getting into the FF, I recommend collecting the Marvel Essential collections of the FF for all the early history and I really recommend the Marvel Knights 4 comic run for a mature reading.
Okay so I have a question for everyone who reads this. If you had to choose between the powers of each main member of the Fantastic Four (I say main because there have been others like Hulk, Storm and Black Panther, I mean the original team), which would you want. For me, either Mr. Fantastic's or Sue Storm's. I really don't want to look like a big rock monster and while fire powers and absorbing heat are cool, I don't really find it to be something I'd want, even with flying involved. With Reed's elasticity, I could stretch and move my body how ever I wanted, and I have seen him bounce like a ball, make his fists gigantic, stretch great heights and withstand really big impacts and attacks. Surprisingly enough Reed also seems to have super strength as well as impressive speed as I have seen in the first comic that he grabbed a heat seeking missile out of the air and then later, grabbed a giant monster and just chucked it into the ocean so beyond being able to stretch and mold my body, I'd be a lot stronger and a lot more resistant. For Sue, I could turn invisible as well as make force fields and energy constructs from invisible energy, similar to Green Lantern though unlike Green Lantern, I couldn't make a car or a plane that actually works, just the shape of it and it'd actually be strainious to hold it sometimes. I'll go with Mr. Fantastic's powers.
MysteriousTomJenkins id most likely go with human torch the guy has the abilty to go supernova that there can really be a game changer when he odds are stacked against you
Real comic books fans don't care about race.. they just want a good comic book movie.. all this negativity comes from the fact that comic book movies are mainstream now
jammin yammin Actually, they do care. And it's what makes a good comic book movie..good. Keeping characters as they are in the books. It's the source material. If there's a valid reason to change a character's persona, it's fine if there's some sort of explanation. But this just looks like the studio wanted to change him because of all the racial tension atm in the public. They feel this will make 'the man' appear equal and fair to the mainstream audience. Besides, there's still plenty of black superheroes who have yet to have a film. But, studios feel a reboot is a safer bet.
