Antonio Brooks It’s all because those god damn movies nobody takes them seriously anymore but without them Marvel wouldn’t have any of their iconic characters.
The Fantastic Four comic introduced the Skrulls, the Kree( Ronan, Sentry 459), the Inhumans, Doctor Doom, the Watcher, Blue Area of the moon, Galactus, the Silver Surfer, Black Panther and Wakanda, Klaw, and so many other characters that help make up the Marvel Universe as we know it. I just like how Stan Lee writes his stories and characters off of tired out tropes DC is known for that he can not stand. I think that’s what makes his work stand out.
Can you do a video just on the Ultimate universe? I think it's very interesting how in that universe they're willing to make changes to the status quo, like Reed Richards becoming a super villain or killing off Peter Parker.
2:48 the fantastic four origins could really tie up with the recent events of the eternals. I mean in the ending of the movie arishem suddenly showed up to judge the remaining eternals back on earth surrounding the earth with vast amounts of cosmic energy and when mcu's reed richards and family was tasked on a mission to find a new habitable planet due to the earth's sudden massive overpopulation due to the effects of the blip, they would be exposed to the cosmic energy as they were to leave the planet.
I am surprised that you did not mention some of the alternate members of the team, like Ant Man, Ms. Marvel, Storm, and Black Panther. Nor did you mention the "New Fantastic Four", consisting of Spider Man, Ghost Rider, Wolverine, and The Hulk.
it's amazing that the x-men and avengers have changed so much (sometimes its better) but the fantastic 4 for the most part stays the same since 1961 and the quality of thier comics didn't change at all
The Future Foundation wasn't a thing until about 40ish years after Stan Lee stopped writing them. Jonathan Hickman is the one who put the thought into that

Okay so I have a question for everyone who reads this. If you had to choose between the powers of each main member of the Fantastic Four (I say main because there have been others like Hulk, Storm and Black Panther, I mean the original team), which would you want. For me, either Mr. Fantastic's or Sue Storm's. I really don't want to look like a big rock monster and while fire powers and absorbing heat are cool, I don't really find it to be something I'd want, even with flying involved. With Reed's elasticity, I could stretch and move my body how ever I wanted, and I have seen him bounce like a ball, make his fists gigantic, stretch great heights and withstand really big impacts and attacks. Surprisingly enough Reed also seems to have super strength as well as impressive speed as I have seen in the first comic that he grabbed a heat seeking missile out of the air and then later, grabbed a giant monster and just chucked it into the ocean so beyond being able to stretch and mold my body, I'd be a lot stronger and a lot more resistant. For Sue, I could turn invisible as well as make force fields and energy constructs from invisible energy, similar to Green Lantern though unlike Green Lantern, I couldn't make a car or a plane that actually works, just the shape of it and it'd actually be strainious to hold it sometimes. I'll go with Mr. Fantastic's powers.
MysteriousTomJenkins id most likely go with human torch the guy has the abilty to go supernova that there can really be a game changer when he odds are stacked against you
It's 2017 and less than hour away from 2018. If you are just now getting into the FF, I recommend collecting the Marvel Essential collections of the FF for all the early history and I really recommend the Marvel Knights 4 comic run for a mature reading.
Jay Trace Writer Mark Waid explains that in the 10 cent issue years ago. Reed feels guilty for making his family and friends into freaks. So he decides they won’t be. Essentially it’s a PR stunt to help them normalize to their new status. Instead of being monsters, they are public figures, celebrities. He wants everyone to know how great his family is, so refused to let them hide. Very good comic, I highly recommend it.
great work, very informative and insightful. i am not a giant FF fan but i like them. success of the JL team comic in 1960s encouraged marvel people to tell stan lee to create a team comic and he created FF if i am not mistaken, i keep my fingers crossed for upcoming FF movie to be good
