Just used the AeroBarrier system in NC for new construction. Cost was $1.00 per foot for a 2700 sq/ft ranch style house. Used the zip 2.0 system, started at 4.7 ach50 and in two hours got to 1.0 ach50. Very pleased with cost and final blower door results.
@@CAC-1111 I don't live in any of them. The proof was in the blower door test. It was extremely air tight. One house was 1400 sq ft and is being heated with a 9000 BTU heat pump. That is a low energy demand for 1400 sq ft.
Crap, I just watched Jordan Smith use this application and thought, if Matt says this stuff is good, we may have to make a last minute change. Wow this is awesome!!!
Hi Sean McGlothlin -- AeroBarrier is a great application for older, leaky homes. Although, we do not recommend using AeroBarrier if the house is occupied. You can find and contact your local AeroBarrier partner by visiting aeroseal.com/aerobarrier/dealer-locator/
I heard this is $4 a sq ft. If that is true most will not use it. I'm doing a renovation and would like to use this but with a 2K sq ft that would be $8K
Hi Minni -- The price varies by partner and depends on several factors, but AeroBarrier typically costs around $1 - $1.50 per sqft. We recommend contacting your local AeroBarrier partner for a free quote. You can find your local partner by visiting aeroseal.com/aerobarrier/dealer-locator/

That’s pretty damned impressive!
This weekend we took a NC job with Zip-R before the insulation from 8.82 to 3.32.
I've done AeroBarrier on two houses now thanks to Matt Risinger promoting it.
How much was it? Was your houses remodels are new construction?

Hello Matt, would you recommend this in an older home (1972) currently being lived in?
