Hopefully later this year or early 2025, we get a Legion Go Pro that's like a Rog Ally X that has a 80w battery. If they do, I'll be one of the first people to pre-order it.
Here are a few suggestions/wishlist items for improved experience: 1. Add 90hz and 120hz refresh rate 2. Add more screen resolution (1680×1050; 1440×900; 1600x1000) 3. Add AMD AFMF to work natively on the device (not just external monitors) 4. Ability to change VRAM on the fly within quick settings menu/Legion Space app. 5. Ability to change starting page (Library, Settings, Controller, My, etc) when starting up Legion Space app. 6. Ability to filter games/apps on "Library" page according to game platform (e.g. Steam, GOG, Epic, Battlenet, etc) so that we can see specific games from specific platforms if choose to. 7. Under Settings>Performance, give users the choice to add more Custom profiles if needed (currently only 2). 8. Ability to rename Custom profiles to any name we prefer. 9. Add Equalizer in Audio Settings (Legion Go's default sound profile is notoriously uninspiring). 10. Add dedicated buttons to minimize / exit Legion space app (credit goes to @Goochball) 11. Under Controller button mapping, add ability to map "M1 button". Right now, we can only map M2, M3, Y1, Y2, Y3 (Somehow M1 is missing). 12. Ability to disable "tablet/screen" gyro (it is causing unwanted gyro input while in Windows, which is extremely annoying. for example, when Start button is pressed, it will swipe it away if we move the device forward/backward/tilt sideways) 13. Add description for each TDP profile (Quiet(8W), Balance(15W), Performance(20W), Custom) 14. Fix "Radeon Super Resolution (RSR)" function in the Quick Settings Menu. Currently, it's not working properly. 15. Ability to map secondary buttons (like mouse click) to the controllers when using Windows. 16. Add shortcut buttons to increase / decrease screen brightness.
Glad to see the updates are still coming. It took me a good while to decide what handheld pc to get, but after the last button mapping update, i finally took the plunge, and it's been great, so seing the machine improve even further is just the cherry on top.
Now if they can focus a little more on battery life, that would be sweet! Hearing Microsoft is working on a "handheld mode" for Windows 11. Hopefully its not just interface, but will also cut the fat off unnecessary task/services running in the background so we can utilize more resources for gaming.
Don't fool yourself there is a lot of under the hood changes with this software version. However yes I also can't deny that there are features people have been wanting for a while that still aren't available. It is my hope that this update will allow Lenovo to maintain a steadier pace with updates
I wish they have an ram Allocation mode Built into legion space that allows you to switch up. The ram for pre game usage. When you set your system to auto ram mode.
Is there like, a feature where I can use a dual screen? An example is, Pokemon, you see the game on a monitor, then you see the menu on the unit screen.
I would love to see a lighter theme as well.. even if the background is just an off white .. more theming the better :) Hopefully this UI and stuff doesn’t eat u -the cpu or anything. But I’m liking the direction
Another reviewer stated that RSR toggle is now working with this update. Is this true? Also stated that the FPS fix now works with the sideloaded AMD drivers. Is that true?
Ibwas joking sorry, in the current version if Legion space there is a spacing/typo for power saving calling it power savin g now it properly says power saving
Dope video! All I know is this new Legion Space update absolutely destroys Armoury Crate new v1.5 update coming in July. And I had the Rog Ally saying this. Loving my Legion Go. I knew those software updates would be coming in soon.
Love it! I'll be curious to do a more head-to-head comparison with the ACSE vs LS. I think what we have here is a great foundation for even greater things to come. I was quite impressed with the GUI implementations on the system stats page and the smoothness of it all, it truly has very little to no lag when navigating through the UI. Glad to have some Lenovo fans out there :)
@@WinDeckTech Well. I'm actually a Nintendo fan Lol. But I got love for Lenovo Legion Go, Rog Ally and the Steam Deck. But the Nintendo Switch started it all.
Hopefully this update beats armory crate of the water because that new software that's coming out for armory crate looks real good also they need to add and hopefully they add on the legion space a option to turn off CPU boosting because it's on and there's no on and off switch for it unless you go manually into settings on the windows but whatever hopefully everything gets fixed and hits the spot pretty much
@@WinDeckTech hell yeah I hope brother because I had this device since day one just like the Ally and I always tell people that the Lego has potential and I know it could do it so let's see if Lenovo puts it to the test with these new updates coming
@WinDeckTech Hey I have one question so how do you have FSR working because all these damn updates they roll out and none of them have FSR working which sucks so how do you have it working is it because you're using the 7840U like separately or you're using Legion goals crap AMD driver?

I hope we get more hardware announcements for them soon!

a more compact naming of custom profiles."ex:custom 1 to be C1" will fit several profiles in the same space
Most definitely thinking about picking this device up
It is a really nice device and honestly having things like the trackpad are awesome for when windows is windows.

Excellent step in the right direction imo. Great new groundwork laid to grow from.

0:50 If I didn't just pick up the Legion Go I would have had no idea what this was. I just checked and now I'm losing it 🤣
They should make it so it opens into library or you have the option where you want it to open
Awesome video dude! ❤
subbed for the savin-g reference, how could they
I wish I still had my legion go :( this looks awesome ❤
Come on, you'd cut a hole in it and THEN update to the newest haha.
So I guess that means we won't see any Legion Go mods from you!😢 and yeah you'd cut a hole in it lol😂
Custom artwork library? Turbo button? Per-game tdp? If only lenovo focusing on functionality rather than just a reskin

Same here, I predict they will eventually add that feature, however I don't know if they are actively working on it.
Bring back Power-savin g!
Always a g in my heart
Is there like, a feature where I can use a dual screen? An example is, Pokemon, you see the game on a monitor, then you see the menu on the unit screen.
Unfortunately not
I came for the updates. I stayed for the docks.
Well did you see their update for their dock??

When will they release the new update? Legion go.?
Out now!
3 Steamdeck fan boys disliked this video lol
LOL

Hopefully this UI and stuff doesn’t eat u -the cpu or anything. But I’m liking the direction
I'll take a more indepth look to background usage in another video
I too would enjoy lighter theme options. I'm a light mode boy through and through.
No power-savin G, no bueno
Legion Go is currently on fire in the trash bin as we speak. RIP Power-Savin G, we hardly knew you.
Another reviewer stated that RSR toggle is now working with this update. Is this true? Also stated that the FPS fix now works with the sideloaded AMD drivers. Is that true?
True to both
At the end of the video I show the fps counter working with 7840u/780m drivers
thanks for this. Seems the Legion l Button can be edited now? And finally the fps osd works as intended to be?
Fps osd works although it doesn't poll as fast as I'd like. Cannot remap Legion buttons still just tbe swap method
Still no update for gyro extra settings. What a bummer. Useless big update
Blah blah blah
I put my shades on to watch this video!
When is the update anyway?
Within the next few weeks, early July hopefully. But I can't say for certain
So when will it be released?
out now!
How can i get the beta update?
Currently, this is closed beta access. It will be available as a public release soon :)
Nice! 7 months later, better late than never!
Shows they're listening imo, or at the very least, shows they care about the device.
Is this uodate out ? How do i get it on my legion go
Closed beta ATM but hopefully early July
😊😊
so the only way to make the power saving mode is to go into custom tdp and make it down to 10 or less
There is a power saving mode
@@WinDeckTech but I heard you saying on the videos that you will uninstall the beta just because there's no more a power saving mode
Ibwas joking sorry, in the current version if Legion space there is a spacing/typo for power saving calling it power savin g now it properly says power saving
does fps overlay got new?
It's works again now
Does it fix the missing FPS?
Yup both official and unofficial drivers.
Shown at the end of the vid :)

I'm thinking/hoping that once this update is out we may see more frequent updates with fwatur3s such as that.

Where do you get the beta update
Closed access for the time being. Should be out in the coming weeks.
