Gambler Burner Worm ! It’s a bigger profile and perfect for fishing deeper and around grass edges! When I’m going through grass or need a smaller profile, I use the CUT R Worm
the cutter worm is definitely my fave, because you can do ANYTHING with it. weighted, unweighted, swim it, drag it, hop it, take the tail off it like a regular stick worm, cut it down as a swimjig or bladed jig trailer, cut it down for on a shakey head or ned rig... DOES IT ALL!
Just finding this video. Late to the party, lol, but I am just this year 2023 started experimenting with Cut R Worms. So, we'll see how I do, but as far as my go to worm that for me is very versatile is a ribbontail worm. 7" Tequila Sun color or Black/ blue color. It's just been super good for me.
The Cut R is tough to beat as far as versatile! Fishing top to bottom, swim'n, crawl'n, buzz'n or modified by cutting off tail and fishing as a straight worm or senko type its a great worm !
Added 2 packs in standard and large size of SK Cut-R worms a few months ago. They got me a few fish when other baits couldn't. Another great bait is the Mann's Auger-tail Jelly worms in GP. Find them on Tackle Warehouse site.
I like using the Strike King or Z-Man Elastec plastic worms, with a Roboworm straight shank 1 ought hook, a light tungsten bullet weight, with a bobber stop about 3 inches up the line. When you cast this setup, the weight falls down to the bobber stop which allows the worm to float straight up......then giggle it a couple times, and if not hit, drag it a little, rinse and repeat. There's something about a floating worm that drives bass nuts over a sinking worm. I also grease the worm up with Megastrike Regular scent, and I skin hook the hook along the side of the worm just to keep it snagless. In clear water, I use the "Dirt" color, and in dirty or really stained water, "Junebug" is my go-to. The worm will last all day long without having to replace it.
I've never thrown the full size Cut-R, but I've been throwing the ned Cut-R worm for the past year and it has become my go-to bait for slow fishing situations. It has absolutely been killing it in the lakes around here. I've never been a worm guy. The only other one i've ever really liked is the Senko.
Haven't gotten to the cutter yet, will try Limited space in a kayak, one pack won't hurt. Thing is, on any pressured lake, throwing something different from what they're seeing will probably get it done. Thanks!
Thank you Andrew, 20 - 30# braid to 10- 20# fluorocarbon on 90 percent of my set ups I use those worm hooks on all my worms and lizards. Those baits are so thin not a need for a gaped hook found that out a long time ago when wider gaped hooks would cause bait to spin.I would have to agree with worm choice being most versatile for those who think it is a senko worm just bite the tail off 🤣 thanks again hope all is well.
Mine has to be some sort of stick worm. Wacky rigged traditionally or rig as you would a trick worm but bring right through and thread 3/4 worm onto the line then let the hook dangle out of it completely. Gives it amazing action as there is no weight in the worm. If lots of weeds then retract it back into the worm. Texas, weighted/non, niko, shorten it on a Ned rig, or my favourite way is fishing it up to a half ounce , 5” worm pegging it and using either a straight shank flipping hook (4/0)/or offset worm hook and flipping it in heavy cover, cane etc. It works!! I think the Bass just don’t see a sinko falling so fast and if they don’t get it on the fall they check it out and have to eat it
This is my #1 bait, its the best everywhere and if you dont want to use tail or rig it for a wacky rig then just tear it off and it becomes a stick worm.
Yahoo! 20lb braid, yeah buddy, that's what I throw. Not a fan of braid in the overgrown urban creek with the afternoon winds para-sailing me into the trees though.
My favorite was the ultra vibe speed worm can't hardly get a bite on it now, I've discovered the 5" stick z-man Zinker Z, rigged on a shakyhead favorite color new money or baby bass, but it depends on the weather & the water clarity, I've heard a lot of good things about the cutter worm may give it a try this year, do you think that it would better than an ol monster worm in the summer? 👍
When I first started fishing 8 months ago my first bait was a zoom speed worm. I even caught my first 5 pound bass on it. But I trust you know what you’re talking about, so I will definitely give that worm a try! And would the lews Mach 2 bait caster it’s a 7’ medium heavy rod work? Does the 7’2 rod your using make a difference in what I’m using?
More times than not if it's got a weight on the nose Speed Worm Cut-R-Worm, no weight then Senko or some other stick bait. When it comes down to it if a stick worm is what you're after you can clip the tail off the speed worm and their you go, save yourself from buying an extra bag. Btw, doesn't everybody's bass fishing start dragging worms Uncle Bill Style? It definitely does in Florida, shout out to Mann's 8 inch Watermelon Jellyworm, and my first bass ever.
Absolutely going to give the SK KVD Cutter worm, Berkeley Speed Boss and of course the Zoom Speed Worm a try my next several trips out to see if one works best in my lakes or will do they all work equally well Right now for the last three weeks Ive been enjoying phenomenal success like you are in this video with the KVD Cutter Worm but fishing a T-Rigged 5.25" Zoom Super Fluke or Cabelas copy the Shadee shad and I mean I am absolutely murdering the bass as the weed growth in my lakes since mid April make casting crankbsits a waist of time and effort 90% of the time What is utterly perplexing me is the bass in the lakes by my house absolutely love 5-5.25" flukes but do not like the 5" KVD Caffeine Shad and I have no explanation as to why more than on one occasion will start out with a 5" weightless T-Rigged Caffeine Shad in Pearl Flash a color that works fantastically well in all my lakes Fish an area by picking it apart not get a single hit Switch over to a ZSF or Cabelas Shadee Shad rigged same way in Pearl Flash fish same exact way in the same areas and catch 8-10 bass. My only 2 guesses and it is purely a guessing on my part is a bare Caffeine Shad weighs a little
What would be your go to line size/style if you were flipping that standing timber behind you? Would you still be using the CutRWorm or something else?
Wow, where to start. Ok so i have never ished a cutter worm. Usually t rigged i use a tequila sunrise ribbon tail. I fish a weighted swimbait hook with a (dint know what there called) fat worm with with cupped trick worm style tai(done well with it fishing like a slow jerk bait) . Honestlt never had any success with a senko style worm. Think i fish it to fast. Maybe a cutter worm will fill the gap in between. I use alot of craw baits. Matrix is my fav. Action, swims but not obtrusive live a rage. Lets go fishing.
I’m going too take a better look at the cutter worm. I love the perfect plastic finesse worm tequila sunrise orange flake mainly on cloudy days they chump ummm!
@@AndrewUpshawFishing that's a great quality in fishing brother. Which is why you are one of the greats. I was just picking with you. I thought you might have been sipping some carolina sweet tea
On my wife’s phone l like your uncle bill he is your roots man don’t ever forget the things he taught you he is the roots of your rasin l fished with a old man who fished super slow 3 hrs fishing score 3 for me 7 for him and his were bigger worms l like producto out of Florida gambler out of Florida paddle tail and Mann’s jelly worm 12 inch on whacky or necko rig and jackal 10 inch whacky and necko and lucky strike baby Huey 10 inch and strike king big bull worm whacky and necko like that weight use to be called Florida screw lock would like to see detailed up close rigging of that but like your videos tight lines my colors are dark purple and regular purple and translucent blue and culprit ribbon tail worms and tequila sunrise and motor oil has caught me a ton of fish
The Zoom Ultra vibe speed worm is a staple in my boat. both regular and magnum version. lots of ways to fish it and it catches em all year long.!!
6” Aaron’s morning dawn Roboworm. Texas rig, shakey head, neko, drop shot. Deadly.
0:45sec Anyone notice the buzz frog on the tree limb?
😂😂😂
lmfao
Good eyes!!
The Gary swim senko gives the action. I love it. My favorite is fishing them weightless texas rigged 8lb fluorocarbon on spinning gear.
Gambler Burner Worm ! It’s a bigger profile and perfect for fishing deeper and around grass edges! When I’m going through grass or need a smaller profile, I use the CUT R Worm

Laying it down in fine fashion. My favorite channel !
Switched to speed worms last year and love them. That thumping action around brush pikes and through grass is killer.
I must agree love the Speed Worm Thanks
I am old school and love my worms 🪱 lol. I think I like uncle bill. Great video. Top 5 bait tips. Locking this vid down.
You will like today’s even better!
My favorite worm is a zoom old monster in red shad, most versatile for me is a straight tail worm
I have to give the cutter a try. Like you I love the zoom ultra vibe speed worm and fish it swimming dragging and shakey head also for a trailer.
Love the Red Bug Cut R Worm
The Cut R is tough to beat as far as versatile! Fishing top to bottom, swim'n, crawl'n, buzz'n or modified by cutting off tail and fishing as a straight worm or senko type its a great worm !
Yeah you and I both know that they work on the Coosa River Bass Open in Alabama last year. I was your second day co angler.
Heck yea buddy!
my favorite worm? that's easy. the ones that i got from under the rock before they squirmed into the ground... looking forward to trying these soon
That Cut R Worm got me my 1st 2nd and 3rd PB 6.5# in the same day. 👍👊 Great Job
I love the stick bait. The ocho is my favorite!!
Haven't thrown those much but ill give em a try,if I can't catch a fish I usually grab a black zoom trick worm,so I'd say its my favorite, great video
I will try it but it’ll be tough for me to like it more than a wacky rig. Tough to beat. Thanks for the tip!👍🏽
Zoom Ultravibe for sure. Dip the tail in garlic chartreuse dip-it. Caught a 23" 6 pounder yesterday and a 20" 4 pounder the day before on it.
That’s a great idea!
Added 2 packs in standard and large size of SK Cut-R worms a few months ago. They got me a few fish when other baits couldn't. Another great bait is the Mann's Auger-tail Jelly worms in GP. Find them on Tackle Warehouse site.
Good stuff guys. Loved it. Can’t wait to see you on Toledo can’t wait to shake your hand Andrew. I’ll be looking for you glad to have you moving home.
Thanks James. Looking forward to it as well

I just ordered these baits lon tungsten weights on tackle warehouse thx 4sharing will definitely b trying this out next time I go out...
Hope you like them!
Useful information!
Thanks Bill!
I height pegging weights, I like this screwlock weight and will give it a try for sure! Favorite worm, Mann's Jelly worm Blue. haha
Man's Jelly Worm!!! Wow! Caught my first 500 bass on them back in the day!! Still have a bunch if em!!
That worm is some what like the dead ringer which has caught a lot of fish for me great video Andrew!
Dead Ringer was amazing
Yes it was I still have a few laying around just in case 😉
I've never thrown the full size Cut-R, but I've been throwing the ned Cut-R worm for the past year and it has become my go-to bait for slow fishing situations. It’s a phenomenal bait. No doubt about it!
I’m a Texas rig nut. I can’t wait to try this worm and weights out. Toledo Tackle, Monroe La stock up!
You will love it
Haven't gotten to the cutter yet, will try
Limited space in a kayak, one pack won't hurt. Thing is, on any pressured lake, throwing something different from what they're seeing will probably get it done. Thanks!
I am a big fan of the cut’r worm. They catch.
I use both the cuter and ultra vibe fishing grass flats. Ill rig one both up on different rods and switch every several cast.
I have never used the cuttr or speed worms but I must say I think I've missed out. I'm actually looking forward to trying it.
You will love it
My favorite is the 5” ocho but I also have not tried the cut r worm. I’ll have to give it a try
You should!

Right!
Really like the Mondo worm. If they're not hitting it at full length, take an inch off at a time and retry.

A great option for sure
Great vid brotha!!!!🤙🤙
The zoom speed worm is always rigged up in my kayak....you mentioned the hook, Owner. Big part of the equation.
Keep up the great info
Thanks buddy!
Is that Frog on that branch in the background at 0:45?
Drew do you go to a slower reel in anything that you do?
Jimmy Houston’s double tail worm (June Bug) and also a Gillraker worm (Black).
I like the big garlic worm swim tail curled swimming on top of The shootist up the water
Where the heck you at Andrew. Sure doesn’t look like Toledo or Big Sam. Lol
choke canyon
This is my #1 bait, its the best everywhere and if you dont want to use tail or rig it for a wacky rig then just tear it off and it becomes a stick worm.
Years ago it was 8" Manns Black Grape Jelly worm. Now strike king ribbon tail worm Ky Lake.
I use the speed worm a lot. I’ll give the cutter worm a shot. Love the videos
Baby Huey weightless in the backs of pockets in the spring. They are huge and get big bites. It’s like the bass hate them and try to kill them.
Anyone see that Toad hangin there at 0:45 . no soldier left behind, damnit.
the only soft plastic lures i carry are a speed worm and a crawfish and a frog
That double hook up 😂 that poor fish hand no chance.
What happened to live feed from last night andrew? violation?
Senko for sure
Here for the juice 😎
Was that a frog bait hanging from a branch behind him at the beginning of the video?
Castle rigs the tail curve down, yours looked to curve upwards ? does it matter. and what size weight. thanks again
Swimming Senko 🤫
Great bait
I bought a couple bags of the cut-R to try it out 😄
Yahoo! 20lb braid, yeah buddy, that's what I throw. Not a fan of braid in the overgrown urban creek with the afternoon winds para-sailing me into the trees though.

I think both have their place. The ol monster might have the edge in the summer, but just barely
what colors work best for you, in florida?
Ol monster 10.5 is my favorite. Question about the cutter worm. Do you rig it with the curled tail pointed up or pointed down?
Pointed up
Mines got to be a green pumpkin Senko.
When I first started fishing 8 months ago my first bait was a zoom speed worm. I even caught my first 5 pound bass on it. Zoom ultravibe speed worm--June-bug red
Great worm
I frequently use 20# braid
What size weigh u use when swimming it.
Have fished the speed worm once but after this video things will change
For versatility and durability you can’t beat the big bite baits swimmin tour worm.
What would be your go to line size/style if you were flipping that standing timber behind you? Would you still be using the CutRWorm or something else?
You can most certainly flip the Cut R Worm. 17-25lb fluorocarbon
Man you got to let Bradley catch one. Lol
Lol!
What size weight
I see there is 1 dislike on this vid. Must have been Fat Tad. 🤣😂
Wouldn’t surprise me! lol
Can u use a jig head with this worm
Yes and yes!
Did i miss the shot of the worm, or am i going to have to google it?
Bass Assasain RSB worms
How much visibility do you need for cutter worm.
Not much at all
Senko! If it’s considered a worm?🤔🤔

10 inch mondo from googan bait
Zoom c tail it like the only worm ill use
That’s a good one
Now your telling my stuff
Zoom mag 2
ned cutter worm smashes on lake mead all day
I been throwing stick but my friend wants me to throw a swim worm
You should try it
How many times is Andrew gonna say ridiculous
Thanks? Sorry, my wife tells me often that I’m too repetitive
@@AndrewUpshawFishing that's a great quality in fishing brother. Which is why you are one of the greats. I was just picking with you. I thought you might have been sipping some carolina sweet tea
Honestly I've had great success with the Googan mondo worm jr in Junebug. I've had fish chase it to my feet at the bank and still eat it..
Rods not available.
I know😭 sorry man. They will be soon!

Just learning but wacky rig is my best so far sinko
