Todd love the videos. Hat tip to Mark Perry for posting one on BBC a while ago that got me hooked on your channel. Learning some finer points. When I started to bass fish in the late 80s we were using keeper hooks. Then they came out with the ewg about the time I started to fish club tournaments a few years later and I switched. Consistently lost a lot of bites over the years till a tournament partner showed me his setup with the offset hook on a t-rig. Since I switched to those type hooks my catch ratio has increased. Until I saw this video I honestly never compared the offset to the hook point being parellel on the ewg. The details didn't concern me as I was convinced it was a better hook for what I was doing and went with it. I don't argue with success. Makes all the sense in the world after you pointed out the difference. Thanks for the enlightenment.

Castledine just so you know I come back to this video every single time the day before I'm planning to fish a swimming worm. By far the best video on the technique out there. Also I love you and Andrew and know you room and travel together. But has anyone ever told you how much you two look alike? I just noticed it myself and I've followed you guys for years lol. Even down to talking out of side of your mouths? Or maybe Andrew is just trying to be like you? Lol. Hey best of luck guys and be blessed

What you explained with the hooks is also applicable to jigs. Some of them I’ve bought have made me lose several fish because the front would hit their mouth and I wouldn’t get the hook point into them. Good information, I didn’t think about that for regular hooks.
I love this type of video. As a recreational angler I try to learn as much as possible from your videos but find myself second guessing if I'm using the right tackle, technique etc. This helps a lot. Thanks for putting it together, Todd. Of course, I can see Cut R Worm sales sky rocketing now!
Thanks Todd I’ve been waiting on this video because believe it or not that cut-r worm is dynamite here on Cumberland. These fish see a ton of swimbaits and that worm is just something a little different for them to see. I like blue craw with chartreuse on the tail around docks and boat ramps. Great discussion Todd! You remind me of me! I was the guy that constantly looked at the details, and tried to eliminate every variable I could. First off, I'm way older than you, second I'm not a pro, and when plastic worms first came out I used a straight hook ; caught tons of bass!
