WELCOME TO BAGUIO! my dad is the first generation Korean missionary in the Cordilleras. and i am the first korean-filipino architect from baguio. yeyyy his friend started the school KCP in the nearby town. Woodnymph and Hodori, along with Korean Palace, are the one of the first korean restaurant korean businessmen as well. I always wanted to see baguio in Korean TV, as it was the top destination for many Koreans before Clark and Cebu. But most of all, it is also because our climate and manners are very similar to Korea and Japan. :) enjoy your stay. You could say that the Cordilleras is like the Hongcheon of the Philippines.
If you haven't found a rental house yet, my suggestion is to buy the weekly newspaper in Baguio which is Baguio Midland Courier. You can see lots of listing there for apartments and transient houses
Condos are mostly occupied in Baguio because many students from other places come here to study in the universities. If you meet a Korean in the city, try to ask if they know a place for long term rent.
Like the other comments are saying, if you want to be in the city center you will pay more and less peaceful. Try outer city limits... if you want peaceful area and cheaper then outside city center. Loakan, Green Valley, Camp 7 and Bakakeng areas are highly recommended. You can rent an entire house in places like Monterrazas Village in Tuding, Itogon--- it's 15 minutes drive to the city (the down side is you have to order water because no water line). Don't feel frustrated, you'll find a house that is suitable for your family. Fighting!!!
fully booked and its not a luxury like the one they are looking for. those condos are really expensive but if they enter in the center they can find cheaper condos but dont have parking space and its studio type.
The owner of Onni Nail Salon is Korean. It’s in Cedar Peak Condominium. There’s also a lot of koreans who goes to that nail salon. Maybe you can try to connect with their community to help you find a rental nearby.
I hope you will find an affordable rental house and hoping an influential & rich subscriber that can help your family to settle in Baguio in longer terms. I wish I can help I love four of you. Just pray
Hi I am a local here in Baguio City and I suggest that you try looking for condominium in South Drive, Gibraltar or in Green Valley. Best of luck, I hope you find a place that you can stay in comfortably.
my friends are living in baguio around 20k monthly. 1 bedroom. if you are looking at this kind of price range, condo's are not a good choice but apartments.
Baguio is very populated area and expensive since it’s a tourist place for filipinos…i was quite surprised when they suggested for you guys to live there, I hope everything will be ok.
well, yeah it maybe is populated and expensove but man, you xant beat the good weather thats why a lot of koreans live here and even if its populated but its very clean and organized, no trikes, no tambays compared to other cities where you see a lot of tambays wearing juat sando and short and slippers. you dont see these here in Baguio and of course tona of parks and nature here. you cant walk in Manila or Cebu in a very hot and humid afternoon day or even morning but here you can just walk or stroll and sit in the park and jist watch people passong by.
quite surprised? don't you know why baguio city is overpopulated? it is because many non baguio people come to live here. that's how people outside baguio are desperate to live here.
@@pogito5816 this is not about your pride. I like baguio too but this is about a family (foreigners) convenience to settle more easily. And it’s my opinion.
annyeonghaseyo. Wow, Lyn's English is improving a lot. Keep it up, Lyn. How I wish that when you decide to move to another city, province, or other part of the Philippines, you first research the place you really want to live permanently. Baguio is definitely a good place to live and is considered by locals to be the summer capital of the Philippines. Since Baguio is made up of mountains that have been developed over the years to house Filipinos, it is also the path of typhoons and landslides. Over all, it's a great place to live. And yes, the Brent School you went to is an international school and one of the most expensive schools in the Philippines. I hope you guys find a permanent house to live in.
Hey listen! That's a thing when you go to Baguio City. Hard to grab the best unit that suits your taste. There a lot actually. So if there is no vacancy, then ask the person (front desk or guard) for any recommendations. If you're lucky they might give you an address. DOMINICAN, SOUTH DRIVE, CAMP7, these are areas for house for rent, or apartments for rent. I mean these were the areas where I visited my Korean students who were learning English from me.
@@amei..2261 this fam isnt high income though. They're just average middle class family with 2 students, 60k is way too much for them especially coming from Dumaguete provincial rate.
The condo just on the left side of the main road from Brent Residences is Brenthill, thats where my family from the US stayed for a month or more... try to inquire there. They have units for rent, either short term or long-term.. Its cheaper than the other condos around that area.... you may also like to check the new condos near Mines View Park and also the ones near Teachers Camp, like at the new Soto Grand hotel and others just nearby... Google could help though.
Instead of a condo unit, try searching for transient houses instead. Those are cheaper and most can accommodate a small family like yours, until you find something better!
It's a bit of a surprise that you are finding it hard to find a long term rental, but at the same time, not really a surprise because Baguio, Benguet, and the Cordillera region is just a tiny part of Philippines that has a much colder climate than the rest of the country, then you'll have to expect that almost all other Filipinos living in the majority hotter places in Philippines not only dream of visiting Baguio and Cordilleras but would also want to have their own place here
i Like the vibes of this Family very genuine:) Hope you find better place and meet our koreans vlogger too they have a lot of korean in PH they're living in ph too like JinHo Bae Jessica lee, Dasuri choi, Ryan bang and so many!
You guys are amazing family. Yes,I watched most of your video's here in Canada. Iwas in Baguio last year and I love the weather and the whole sorounding in general. We bought a property in Baguio 15 years ago last year that's my first time to see the property it's about 10 minutes to SM Baguio. If I only know ahead of time that you guys are heading up there I could have hook you guys to my house. Next time. I really enjoy watching your videos. Cheers ❤
I suggest Subic freeport.... place is not popular as Angeles, Bagio, Tagaytay..... But its port and famous for Tax free goods.... can buy Branded imported stuffs at discount... place has good foriegn restaurants because its area as port... also has good schools there
Try to go to Green Valley Hotel & Resort and ask around as there are residences and condos for rent there. Some are good but pricey and some not so nice but cheap so just have a look around anyway and maybe you may get lucky.
don't limit your search in Baguio only, try La Trinidad, though it's in a slow moving traffic state now due to road works but you'll find a lot of apartments, 9-10K monthly rate for 2 bedrooms
Unfortunately, rent here in Baguio City is 2-3x more expensive than other places😢 You can find more cheaper houses if you go farther from the city, you can try Camp 7 or Eagle Crest Villas, or somewhere in that area, much cheaper than in the center of Baguio, it’s only 10-15mins away :) OR… you can try La Trinidad, a town near Baguio that’s also a good alternative if you really can’t find something in the center. Hopefully you’ll find a good one soon! 💓
TRY TO FIND AMERICAN STYLE VACATION HOUSES THERE. IM NOT SURE IT THEY STILL EXISTED. MAYBE ITS MORE AFFORDABLE. WE STAY IN ONE OF THOSE VACATION HOUSE MORE THAN 10 YRS AGO. IT WAS OLD BUT VERY NICE HOUSE AND VERY PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT

it's always better to look for rentals in advance especially for monthly to long term lease. condo rentals are really expensive. go for house rentals, apartments, or transient homes. you can book a few days in a hotel or airbnb units while looking for a place to stay.
I think the reason why most new condos are short term because Baguio is mostly a tourist destibation so it caters mostly to tourist or transcient. I agree that 65k for long term is a bit expensive. I'm sure there are other nice places and more affordable. I hope you already found an apartment. ,,🤗
Most owners offer a transient, and it is sometimes difficult to find a long-term lease. Try to go to Megatower, Green Valley subdivision or Bakakeng area.
Much better to just rent a house and not condo..and much cheaper..you can check , teacher's Camp, Dominican Hills and near the place near Burnham park ( beside )..😊
Really difficult to find a rental place in Baguio due to the high influx of tourists on a daily basis. My nephew is also having a hard time looking for an apartment for his law studies at SLU and school already starts next month. Aja! Aja! I'm sure you can find a place soon. Keep looking and stay positive. :)
You can find cheaper rent too but not condo just a independent house , look in the Baguio news paper or there are Korean community in Baguio ask for help , I’m sure you can find soon , also there’s a nice school too for the kids
