I got my P6 2 years ago and it changed everything! It`s the best controler for Reason, hands down. Creating Midi-Maps for all kinds of VST`s is also easy, if you let Nectarine doing it`s job. The guys from Nektar realy know what they`re doing and I`m sure there are music-producers on board who tell them exactly what functions they need to have easy acces to. The P6 will never leave my studio. It became the center-piece for my production workflow. THANK YOU; NEKTAR!
WHOOA! I think this just blew every other controller out of the list of options! I get that the examples were not according to best practices, but they sure did serve the purpose of showing how efficient it is to work with the Panorama... especially when your screen went black, I loved that moment. Thanks for a good video!
After watching this video a couple of months ago, I called my Sweetwater Rep. and ordered myself the LX88. I play piano and wanted the extra octaves. I must say I'm very impressed with the intergration with Reason 8. I also like the fact that the LX88 came with Presonus Studio 3. I love the work flow in Studio 3 along with the LX88.
I won't misrepresent that Nektar has completely natural piano action but it most definitely has much better action than any controller that I have touched under $1000 and I have tried many. I learned to play on a real piano but I have played a lot of crap plastic too. For me Nektar is a nice spot between. It gives nice subtle response. I won't lie call it Ivory but I kind of like the 'medium' weight maybe better at this time! In addition Nektar pads are the most responsive I've seen,
For sure - and yes - it's so much about the integration with Reason that really is the kicker for this controller in ways that are just jaw dropping. If it were just a keyboard controller and a drum pad it would still be my favorite but probably not to sell the Axiom and I know this because that was the controller I used for the year before I got this :) I really like the Axiom - those pads are really nice too - so - I would say not worth the move w/o Reason. !00% worth it with Reason.
Reason user here. Currently have an MPK49. I need a P1 I think. Had a gut full of the MPK. Think I'll get rid of it & get a P1 + a decent simple MIDI keyboard.

Yes! I think my dog was making noise in this one shaking his collar (for real) - but yeah, video is a hobby. These tutorials are just because I love the P4. The 'studio' is my bedroom and nothing that comes out of this place is intended to be pro - I'm just shouting out on UA-cam. I don't work for Nektar and have no connection to them aside from friending on FB. hopefully since I am not doing a tutorial about sound quality, mic placement or EQing I can get hall pass :)
I actually bought Novation 25 SL MkII about 2 months before I heard about P4. Since it's more expensive than Impulse I am guessing it feels about the same. Towards that - spend the extra money on the P4 - because you have Reason now. The experience is 100% no comparison. While the Novation has sliders and knobs you will be spending SO much time trying to map them to make the connection to Reason and still will never compare to P4. in how it connects to all of reason with no work 4 you
Any advice for p6 with logic? I’m at a loss trying to get my midi keyboard to work at all. 😢 I’ve followed their steps exactly in the manual download included and it just doesn’t work. I’m loooost lol.
I only have Reason Essentials, so is it worth the cost of the Nektar to use with it? Also, do the transport buttons work for play, rec etc without having to select the transport button specially? Thanks :-)

low cut support for the EQ would be quite good. (Cubase has a dedicated LC and HC control besides the 4 parametrics)

Is it just me, or does his studio sound untreated? Feels like I'm hearing lots of reverberated sounds.
