Great lesson, Tim! And thanks for coming back! 🥁🤘🏻
Thank you so much!
Happy to see you are back! You make such good videos!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for posting a new lesson! Your lessons are concise and useful - not simply showing off some ridiculous fill that gets you fired from the gig. And I much prefer the iPhone to glammed up video and sound production. I’m glad you’ve kept your set up. Always looking forward to the next upload!
Thank you so much! The iPhone sure makes it easier.
Great playing, so well balanced. Lovely phrase too... Thanks Tim

I have not tried this yet, but it looks like a cool lesson. Nice touch on the kit BTW👍
Thanks for checking it out!
hello Tim, welcome back!
I really enjoyed watching your new video.
I discovered your channel a few years ago and I find your videos very practical, concise and above all clear in the explanations.
I also play a custom Gretsch USA. I would also like to have a video of yours as you tune the drums.
I mainly play jazz (in a quartet) and also in a big band.
thanks for your advice and for your sympathy.
greetings from Switzerland.
Max
Thanks so much! I don’t really have a method for tuning other than I try to get both heads to about the same note, then I tweak the top head until I like the sound. Hope this helps!
Oh yaaaaaa!!!!
Thanks buddy!
Welcome back and thanks for the lesson! Any chance you could link to some examples in the "original" tracks/places where Max plays the lick? (and likewise for other licks etc.)
Michael Chee check out “sandu” on study in brown. Also “Jacqui” on the same album. That’s a good place to start. Thanks so much!
Hey! I saw your jazz soloing video, how would you apply that to some of the comp 2 examples? The one I was trying to do was the second to last line on the first page second example. The one with 4 off beat triplets in the second measure.
By the way I saw that video a couple of years ago when I was barley just getting into jazz so it is really cool to go back to where I was
What’s the weight of the right side ride?
I forgot the exact weight, but I know it is n the 2300g range. Hope this helps!
