My son loves his Mystery Ranch Rip Ruck 15 that he uses as an EDC bag and it can actually fit his 15" laptop when he needs it in a separate padded sleeve. His favourite features are the double zip opening with magnet closure and multiple pockets. Only downside: the exterior mesh water bottle pocket is ripping after daily use with a large steel water bottle.
I’ve had the original Aer flight pack for like 4 years now. The thing is a beast. Fits everything I need and nothing I don’t, looks good, carries comfortably. And it’s held up so well that I still can’t justify upgrading to a newer version! I’ve also had their original dopp kit for 3 ish years now and love it too. Highly recommend!
I have a backpack that’s just outstanding the Tatonka sparrow pack 22, it fits into the category of bags you are reviewing here, and I think it’s better than a lot of them…please take a look at it, and thanks for your reviews I can actually watch from start to finish without boredom or frustration and you have the same bag/bag fabric fascination that have, so I don’t feel so alone…regards from Melbourne Australia !🦘🇦🇺🐨🪃
It's a bit bigger (20l?), but the Wandrd Duo is my absolute work backpack of choice. Fits my XPS 15.6" comfortably, wireless keyboard in the tablet pocket, then a mouse in one of the camera lens pockets, couple of electronic tools in the other, dongles, cables, pens, powerbank at the side. Still just enough space left for my headphone case and a bento box. love it, recommend that if you want a complete mobile office, basically!
I would love to add the Dayfarer Backpack, I’ve been using it for almost 3 years now on the commute and it’s still a delightful experience. Never was it easier to get the laptop in and out when hoping on and off. Very sturdy and practical compartments.
@@ale.h.s_13 They are actually going back in business! I was at their factory a few weeks back and they are revamping their entire brand - new bags should be available soon
My daily for the last new months has been the Herschel Heritage Backpack in the size Youth. Looks like a regular small backpack - its 16L which is enough to carry my sunglasses, water bottle (32oz or 16oz) two notebooks and 13in iPad Pro in the big compartment and everything else I need. I used the Pop Quiz in college but now that I’m not walking around campus and just need to take stuff w me to the office from the car this is perfect
Shame you didn't review the Aer slim pack since that is a really small compact laptop backpack and would fit this review. I'm using that more often now than my AER fit backpack.
I'd love to see a video (maybe with a guest) that's about packs for smaller/ more feminine bodies. Sometimes I see these packs and can't find a pic of them on a woman, or they're like 19" (and I'm 5'5") and I'm like, this will never work for me. It's not about gender for me (I'm not looking for something "girly", but no shade to anyone who is) -- it's about body type.
@@thunder5632 I also had this issue, I'm 5'6 and have used the North Face 'Isabella' as a daypack, weekender and my underseat bag on longhaul flights. It sits comfortably on my frame, adjustable and padded enough without bulk, has chest straps you can tuck away in the shoulder straps and none of the bulkier ones that men's packs come with and are useless for me. I have the old version and idk if the current one has changes but the layout really works for me, there's videos around of it. I can squish a frankly impressive amount of sh*t into it for travelling and the fleece lined external pockets and placement - esp as a lefthander - are really good, both the one on top behind the carry strap and the side angled one fit a passport/phone/sunnies easily. There's also a handy hidden angled mesh pouch on the front for... business papers (I often use it for easier access to a notepad/journal/pen). 6 years and it's still going strong, I am not delicate with it lmao
I’m a 5’5” guy and have this same issue. I prefer to have a masculine or at least neutral looking pack, but when I wear an Evergoods or Aer pack it looks like I borrowed my Dad’s.
Not a backpack, but my daily driver is the Boundary Supply Arclite (Errant) Sling. Super minimal, expandable when I need it to be. No water bottle pocket, though, and just big enough for my 13" laptop.
I would love to try out a Day Owl bag, but it seems they are completely out of stock, and likely out of business. Maybe Chase has more info on that. Their last instagram update did not look promising :(
Love your videos as always. Could you please do more reviews of Osprey travel/commute/day bags? The one you did a while back on the Cyber was hilarious and really informative.
I was one of the person that not understand : " why chose gr bullet 15l? Or gr1 ? They are overpriced and too much simple!" Now I have 2 gr bag and they are my favourite.... its strange how this bag can interact with yourself. They are awesome
Can you do a review of the new Portland Gear Cascade backpack? They just came out with it and they’re running a huge advertisement campaign on instagram-and it looks good- but outside of Portlands website there’s not a lot of reviews on it, it’s like a complete ghost out there on the internet
As always great stuff and channel Chase! While I am a confessed bag whore, I recently picked up a Fjallraven Raven 28....almost perfect for everyday! Keep rocking!
The Axiom is a terrible backpack, IMO. I love sailcloth fabric, but it was too restrictive for the whole bag and honestly that inner mesh they use is the same. If TAD added a little bit more versatile fabric, with some give in certain areas, and a flat bottom, maybe... Also the top pocket and the inner pocket sizing is unusable.
Laaazy vid, come on! No info on volume, weight, laptop compatibility. Luggage passthrough info mentioned only for some. Only some jibberish about "mushy straps".

That was classic Chase for sure

Love these long format multi bag vids! Can't wait for Medium and Large - small bags don't work so hot for me.
Oh yeah. I was waiting for these. Small laptop bags that i can every day carry too.
Tom Bihn with the 1992 school bag look there. Wow.

Always cool to read about another Wandrd DUO user!
Love your vibe Chase. My beef is w bag companies that have wimpy straps. Which bags have the best thick comfy straps? Help!
I love the new Tom Bihn Paramour. Maybe not the coolest looking, but works perfectly for me.
HE SAID IT! he said the thing 🤣

Great video Chase! Don’t forget to make a video on those “just a laptop” packs!
WOAH! So many business papers man!
Chase, 1st I love your reviews! Could you let me know what kind if hat your wearing, and where to get one!!!! Thank you!
Great video dude and cool to see Day Owl on the list - love that bag
Anyone else notice they seem to have gone out of business? Luckily I picked up my daily before they were completely closed up.
@@MichaelRomo yea I just found out. if you look at their IG they said they are struggling and are transitioning to wholesale
I’m looking for a second-hand day owl backpack. Would anyone have one and be willing to sell it? It’s so sad that they’re out of business.

I want that updated bullet so bad lol hey Chase what sunglasses you rocking those are awesome ? thanks for the videos appreciate your upbeat energy
please compile a list of best 13inch laptop bags/backpack/messenger bags🙏🏻🙏🏻

Awesome review, thorough yet humorous
Excited for the medium size video
Can you make a video on small messenger bags for small (13’) laptops? Most come in bigger sizes to accommodate 16’+ laptops 😅

I really think, that remote equipment Aplha v2 easily fits this “small laptop bag, not too big, not too small”.
Always love a C Reeves backpack review
Shame the Topo commuter/mountain briefcase didn't make the list, best laptop bag I've ever used and I know you have a soft spot for it too!
Hi Chase can you show some backpacks that have small zip like sleeves on their straps.
I was hopeful this would touch on compact laptop slings, could you do a bonus episode in the 1/3 series for them? :)
Great to see another backpack guide!
Papers..... Business papers man! (Waiting for this t shirt) . Chase, call me!

What’s the actual bellroy bag he held up called?

Hope you include the forge by black ember in any of the next videos. It usually gets ignored and it’s an amazing bag
Id love to see your review on the Linustechtips bag
That brain blue screen/ reboot had me rolling.
can you put a link of your glasses?
Wexely Sheldrake is really good for slim tech EDC, big recommend.
