Really loving Pakt stuff. Hope they’ll make a 26-26L personal item size that’s “personal item” sized-still streamlined but commodious enough to flex as a travel bag. I think this is where one bag travel should be going-recoiling away from the bulky 35-45L overly complicated, over-engineered, fussy bags.

The backpocket papers scene got me laughing, and then you casually dropped the Meditation on Emptiness! :) A full time meditation teacher here, and a long-time follower of your channel. I was watching a Chase Reeves video the other night and my tired brain was like "that's not Chase Reeves, that's Steve Carell doing an amazing Chase Reeves impression" and now I can't unsee/unhear it.
Chase, Moleskine is as beautiful as a Field note . ;) Though my current notebook/journal/calendar is a gutted Castelli cover filled with custom papers fixed with elastic rubber band loops. Love your videos!
The laptop pocket keeps liguids off the laptop in the event the bag needs opened in the rain or is open when a spill happens. It also prevents the laptop from falling out of the bag and becoming damaged if the bag gets knocked over while open.

Have you ever tried the Behance Dot Grid Journals? I love them for notetaking, great feel to the cover and the paper. I use them for reflections and planning at work and they hold up to a beating while feeling luxurious.
Someone's probably already suggested the Skillcraft B3 Aviator multipen to you. But if not you should check it out if ya haven't. It's a great EDC pen and pencil writing utensil. And it's one of 2 EDC items I've come across over the years that I recomend to everyone that has a need for a pen or pencil.
Oh and that wired notebook you use will probably allow the B3 Aviator multipen to slide down inside the wire ring for compact storage and the pen clip will clip over the outside of the wire ring and hold the pen securely in place.
@P90Camper I always recomend a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife to everyone that I can since there's such a variety of models and anyone can find one that suits their particular edc needs. Imo a good multipen, SAK, and your smartphone will pretty well handle most tasks that might need to be tackled on a daily basis.
Great video. Question: I don't understand why Pakt makes 22-25L bags that don't qualify as personal items. This 22L bag and the 25L duffle are 19.7" and 18.9" long when personal item sizers are 17-18" long. If they made them shorter, I'd buy.
I always use the 25L duffel as my personal item for overseas stuff. I'll have to look into those restrictions. What regions/airlines are you typically flying?
@@chasereevesDomestic personal item limit is 18x14x8 except United (17x10x9) and Jet Blue (17x13x8). I know you can usually stuff a longer bag under the seat in front of you, but sometimes they get strict about it.

In the experience of most-personal dimensions seldom matter. And most backpacks compress a bit too.

keep em in a tupperware with keepsakes. Pull them out occasionally and remember things.

I would use the laptop “bib” when riding my scooter. I live in Southeast Asia and my backpack has fallen off once and the zipper teeth bit my MacBook.
