Great bit of Karcheology. The quality of the steel of those ovals was better than the later ones. If it was a 70s bug, that floorpan would have vanished by now.
I have seen some epic rust repairs on English U tube channels but i honestly think this one doesn't even reach "parts car" status .😁😁

YOu know how after a plane crash, the investigators will take every piece they can find, and will try to reconstruct the plane to see if they can find out what happened? That would be cool to see if you can reconstruct this one, see how much of it is actually there. Obviously, this is way beyond restoration, but putting i backt together into something Beetle-shaped could be fun.

based on what I see, this car was cut into many pieces before being tossed into that hole... and it wasn't the only car in there.

When I was a kid I lived by a quarry and car thieves would steal cars just to drive them off the cliff and into the water.

Back then it was a beater, much like a 92 Grand Am would be today. Well the Beetle is still a better car.

Getting a birth certificate would have been cool to get, we couldn’t see any sign of numbers tho. It’s defo was a very old beetle.
