  • Tuesday is Tool Review Day and today we have a minimalist multitool from True Utility. I found this at a Sportsman's Warehouse for a very reasonable price and decided to give it a try...and a review. (Spoiler: I REALLY like this minimalist tool and you can buy it for under $12--what's not to like?).
    I couldn't find this exact tool on Amazon (it may be too new), but I found another from True Utility that's similar in purpose. Here's the link: amzn.to/2MJanFx
    Or buy it at Sportsman's Warehouse if you can find one.

    I used a lot of different multitools but I think the best all rounder is the skeletool, light and doesn't take up much space in pocket.

      It's hard to go wrong with Leatherman, but good gravy they make you pay for it. **Sigh** Maybe I'll ask for a skeletool for my B-Day. My wife's new job pays pretty well. (No comment on mine)

      Thanks, my friend! You have a favorite pocket tool? (I have to be honest, I usually carry very little besides keys and phone, but I'm forcing myself to get more prepared.)

    I have the same tool I use for my paint business, the rounded end where the lanyard is I use to open gallon cans I use a screwdriver for switch plates if I don’t have a screwdriver handy, I got rid of the chisel grind and I made it a double edge it is hair shaving sharp now ,when I got it it was good for nothing, but now I slip it in my pocket I don’t have to carry screwdrivers an extra knife a can opener for the paint it’s nice tool

    Looks like the perfect size. I just got back to Fargo yesterday from Iowa and they had these knives at a sporting store. I didn’t get one though :/ I got a 50 lb draw pistol crossbow so that’s good I guess. Keep up the cool videos

      Cool! I just got a crossbow for my kids (Ok, also for me). I think it's a 28 pound draw weight, just for training of course, but it's a lot of fun.

    • @JustinTopp
      @JustinTopp 6 років тому

      FargoFX haha o got the 50 lb one because it was on sale for 20$. Crossbows are pretty fun.

    • @JustinTopp
      @JustinTopp 6 років тому

      Matthew M actually the 50 to 80+ lbs ones are pretty powerful mine is 50 lbs the bolt is yellow plastic so you would need some new bolts. But with new bolts you could hunt small animals with it I can accurately shoot 25-50 feet so far but the sight is adjustable so you can shoot farther. The bolt shoots at 200 FPS. I have a target made for 40+ lb bows and it can pierce a good 6 inches on the target. It goes straight through cucumbers and other vegetables. In conclusion some are impractical but the higher power ones can be useful. (Ps. You could fight some evil ninjas with these)

    • @JustinTopp
      @JustinTopp 6 років тому

      Matthew M it’s a recurve style but when strung looks like a long bow ( or I guess short bow) 50-80 lbs isn’t too bad for a cross bow but bows are usually 2-3 times more powerful per pound rating because of the length I believe. It’s not hard to draw because it has a foot “strap” to pull easier. And it has a bar you pull to pull the string and it feels like a 20 lb bow. I haven’t gone hunting with any of my bows but I have a 35 lb and a 45 lb recurve bow and a 80 lb hunting compound bow I found in a shed on a property be bought. My arrows for my hunting bow are broad heads made from heavy aluminum and my recurves use wooden arrows non broad head similar to mid evil war arrows they are the style made to pierce armor. I’m working on better crossbow bolts. I live near/in Fargo North Dakota in the United States so I can have pretty much any thing pointy I want. So that’s nice. It’s really too bad you can’t get them in Australia they are a blast to shoot

    • @JustinTopp
      @JustinTopp 6 років тому

      Matthew I shoot recurve because I have grown up around them so I’m better at instinct shooting.
      Never been out to Ohio besides a quick change of planes on a flight. We haven’t got much to see but fields it’s too flat here. Ditches and dirt piles from construction are about as big of slopes you can find here :/ and in the winter it’s a nice -30f half the time so that’s fun. The second amend meant is fun. I got my ar from a “lottery” style drawing near me. I also have an ak-47 semi-auto for legal reasons but we can’t shoot often because almost nobody sells 7.62x39mm bullets so we have to reload our own. So that’s fun (but takes a long time ). Also congratulations on the wedding hope it goes great.

    Yeah, the S on it though, I'm not sure how you're going to use that as a flathead screwdriver unless it pops out or what you are working on is smaller than the device itself so it has space to rotate.

    If they put a locking blade on it it would be perfect.
    Nebotools.com has a lot of tools from True that Amazon doesn't have.

      Well done. I'm starting to worry though, there was this other viewer that was ALWAYS first for at least a few months (seriously, it was uncanny) and now he seems to have disappeared. I hope he's doing ok. Wish I could remember his screen name... I think he had eagle in his name, or possibly his picture? Anyway, there's my rambling response for the day. Congrats on First!
