    Great video. I was dreading this but want the larger tires on my X and a lot of the vids out there were shite quality. This explained it very well and it’s actually not so daunting now. Appreciate it man. Are there any torque specs for the bolts removed if so do you know what they are or do you pretty much crank em down?

      I would check ALLDATA for torque specs if available if not then I would search google for them. The main torque spec that I would be concerned about would be the spacer nuts, the lower shock bolt and tie rod then wheels. ( Me personally I just got them tight with the gun then hand checked and I torqued the wheels.) But this is my personal vehicle and I rechecked all the bolts at 50 miles, 500, 1000 and 5000 and they were all good and still good to this day.

    So with the spacer installed the lower strut bolt lined up? You didnt have to loosen the spring mount nut and reposition the mount?

    Do the spacers come with more hardware or is it only those 3 nuts? No washers?

    How much is it to do all 4 on your own? I'm new to all of this. I see pairs online but that only come in 2 and I'm not sure if they come with spacers for all 4

    Nice, I want to know the part number and where you got the camber bolts, please. I just installed a 2 inch lift on my 2011 XTerra Pro4X...

      I got them through my parts department ( I work as a tech at nissan ). I cannot remember the part number but if you call your local nissan dealer parts department they can give you a price and availability.

      If you put a 2 inch lift, do you have to get upper control arms?

    I’m having a hell of a time finding a lift for a 04 Xterra I just wanna lift the front end so my tires stop rubbing. You got any ideas where I can find one?

      Keep in mind it does not have springs in the front only shocks and control arms.

      There are some aftermarket support for the first gen Xterras, but generally you would have the ride height changed with the torsion bars turned up or “ tightened “. But only do this if you can get alignment same day cuz it will change the alignment.

      Find a local shop that charges an hourly shop rate. Mine was less than $350 with the alignment for the front. I didn't do the rear b/c I figured I could do that myself, can't imagine it would be much more with how simple it is.

    • @jamesn.449

      A proper spacer lift you should replace the upper control arms with high cleararance ones to avoid coil bucket contact. It's why spacer lifts seem cheap but cause issues. A better front shock and coils or Bilstein 5100 which are adjustable will be more up front cost then a spacer kit but still less the a proper spacer lift with upper control arms. Aftermarket uppers start at $500

    • @ThomasBatzlaff
      @ThomasBatzlaff  Рік тому

      The upper control arm does contact the spring bucket, that will happen with any lift without any aftermarket upper control arms. This truck doesn’t wheel, it’s a on occasion camp rig/ maybe I use it for hunting if my tundra is unavailable. But mostly this is my wifes daily and she loves it.
