I love watching people dye yarn, fluff or whatever they want to dye. Even if no one's talking and it's too a little music or just silence, I love learning by watching. The way the colors blend just amaze me. With rain in the forcast I am saying no to the Wool festival. I went last year and it was wet, rainy and thunder and I was wet and cold enough all I did was look at yarn and didn't do any of the events so next time I go it's going to be nice.

Chroma is the bomb! I finally found a pattern for crochet mittens that are made to be as warm as knit and they are made in chroma. Picked some up on sale to make for next winter.
OMG, my daughter had such a time with her socks, if the folds were not equal in both socks it would be a complete total melt down, all the way through high school. I think she may have when to school everyday of her senior year crying because of her socks, her hair or her outfit. It was always a melt down. By the time I had a granddaughter I realized if I turned the socks inside out the toe seam didn't seem to bother her , so she wore all her socks on the wrong side for years.

For future emergencies: If you use a lighter on the end of the shoelace and melt it a little, lick your fingers and roll the burnt plastic to fuse it together, that will work! I make knotted rosaries and I do it all the time to keep the end of the twine from fraying.

Oh my gosh, Jen, you just reminded me that I'd ordered a bunch of Knit Picks Worsted Chroma in Lupine! They need to be a shawl or scarf and hat like....yesterday. It's sooooo pretty. You know, I've never been able to wear crew socks because.....the elastic doesn't feel the same on both sides. One is always too loose or too tight and I end up tossing them.
I remembered the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival as being in the fall. So it switched to spring after last year's downpour, and it's forecast to rain this weekend. Ironic?

I went to an alpaca show last weekend and every time I saw roving, I said, “oh fluff”.
