- After taking control of Rome with force of his legion, Ceasar is now seeking to bribe Chief Augur in order to have influence on the people of Rome.
Augur (in ancient Rome) a religious official who observed natural signs, especially the behaviour of birds, interpreting these as an indication of divine approval or disapproval of a proposed action.
I am fond of history and particularly in the history of Rome and I share videos about it. Rome (2005) was one the best tv show and also some kind of documentary. I claim no rights of the videos I share

Much respect for the chief augur for caring about his wife and making her happy. Such gentlemen are rare nowdays.
The actors in here, every gesture, it's an amazing series!
Mark Antony coming in to check homeboys greed.
Ya that was my favorite part those 2 together in the show was fantastic. In real life Anthony wasn't really political savy but I still would of loved to seen them 2 together. Then I would love to see emperor Aurelian literally reunited the empire back if I could go back in time those would be my 2 choices for rome but honestly I would love to be there starting with marius and sulla onwords
@mark houghton Both. Let your subjects know things will be great if they work with you and terrifying if they don't.
Then again I guess you can't look to Caesar as a perfect politician. Being assassinated loses points I guess.
This Chief Augur was as heroic and instrumental in Caesar's restoration of the Republic as Legionary Titus Pullo!
Mad respect the the Chief Augur.
brilliant scene! and all under 2 min
Hehe... great acting. Unfortunately i read this show was canceled early in production. I need to go watch entire show!
? There's 2 full seasons, afaik.
@@DutchGuyMike It was meant to have 5 seasons. It was cancelled during the production of season 2, which is why the conclusion was rushed and there are some storylines that are set-up but not seen through.
200, 000 sestertius are 2,175, 000 dollars on todays currency
It is the same as today!
So this is how politics works then, huh....
