Another one of those jets that gaijin completely got the flight model wrong for. They’ve been given evidence showing this thing is missing a large chunk of its engine thrust/acceleration and low altitude performance (it was capable of just reaching Mach 1 at sea level) but they don’t do anything about it.
@@knochi956It’s been bug reported a couple of times. Gaijin have listed it as open for discussion or they’re “looking into it”. And then nothing more comes of it
I have to admit, this thing is a bit of a guilty pleasure, while it's energy retention is poor, it does actually have pretty good responsiveness for small flight adjustments and a surprisingly good initial turn rate. You can absolutely catch a few people out with that. And those French cockpits (see also Etendard and Mirage) are just slick.
Very nice review, thank you for taking the time in metioning Honduras aswell. My dad flew the Super Mystere for the Honduran Air force from 1978-1993. Here it had 2 Camos, SEA(South East Asian) and from 1987 and onwards it flew with the Air Superiority gray. Its by far the jet I use the most because of nostalgic reasons. If you ever want or need photos of the Super Mystere in Honduran use, please let me know, i'm always looking to share more about its history in my home country.
This is one of my favourite planes in war thunder. In ground RB, this thing can dance around SPAA with its nords and proceed to ground pound with its centerline rocket pod. The AA Nord is also nothing to scoff at, since it can ignore flares and is wonderful against Yak-38s, buccaneers and anything else with flares, so it really makes for a good air superiority fighter. Unless you match something highly maneuverable like a mig-19 or mig21, you are likely to win in it. Just don't overextend your dogfights.
I'll admit - I seriously underestimated the AA-20 Nord. In the process of making this video I got about 10 kills with it, which was about 10 more than I expected to get. I suspect if I had a proper joystick with a HAT/POV that I could bind to the MCLOS axis it would be even more effective.
I use my scroll wheel button and the WASD keys for that. They are really good against side climbing, and generally unaware targets, because they have a way bigger range than you'd expect. I managed to hit shots with them from 13 kilometres away on an unaware enemy bomber that was trying to climb.
You say numerous times in this vid that aim9b's are very bad, and i have to agree with you there. *but* if you get used to what they can and cant do, you can get kills with them roughly half of the time. I get more missile kills in my j32b than gun kills since that thing has a stupidly powerful engine which keeps it at a speed where u cant aim it. Granted i do get 2x the missiles on that thing than on the mystere.
I Agree with you 100%, I have said time and again that they are for stall fights, high altitude fights and against high energy opponents where you are at a disadvantage. I use them to dictate where I want the fight to go, rather than as fire and forgets. also they can be slaved to any radar equipped jets which gives them a slightly better launch profile, although there is no "Uncaged seeker".
@@TimsVariety i am a native French speaker and I have kind of a fixation on learning languages lol. French has some of the weirdest unnatural sounds for a native English speaker. Respect hahaha
Hey man, really love your vids! Will you ever talk about C.202/205s family? I'd really appreciate that cause I'm trying to learn air RB and I'd like to really understand what I'm flying
Do you have the F11F-1? I don't own this plane right now, but it seems similar to the F11F-1 where it's barely supersonic (and isn't at low altitude like this plane) and doesn't quite have the same engine power as the F-100.
Do you plan on making an updated guide for missiles and guided ground ordinance after the update? (since we are getting quite a few new types of weaponry)
.. funny you mention that ... I split the topic out into 2 videos, one focused on air to air and a second focused on air to ground. The A2A is done, and goes into much more detail than my previous video. The A2G is still in production (I can't just fly a plane out and get some footage, I have to take the plane into CAS with the right weapon load, and setup some demonstrations of good/bad ways to use them weapons, and survive the wall of radar SPAA/S2Amissiles long enough to get the footage ... which takes a while ....)
Hello, i don’t know if someone already asked you, but may i know which keys do you use to guide MCLOS missiles? It just seems very hard to use those for me
So, long story short - I usually frontload my videos. I'm sitting on 2 or 3 at a time which have been uploaded but not set to "public" yet. That way, I can try to maintain at least 1 or 2 per week even if I end up super busy or something. So the timeline isn't really set in stone.

Create a bug report, that usually fixes stuff like that if you have proper evidence.

French vehicles suffer from Gaijin's stupidity or hate. idk what it is but they nerf French vehicles.

Thats awesome!!
Sounds very cool !!
Your pronounciation is fine, honestly. We just don't emphasize words as much as English speakers do.
Good to hear. The French language sounds beautiful, I'm just terrible with it.

@@TimsVariety as a French your pronunciation was great

True. And at high altitude they can actually pull something and are fairly capable

I just found this video in my recommendation.. it's a very interesting video !
Like always… another great video
Franchement tu as une bonne prononciation du français, pour une personne parlant anglais. 👍
Cette vidéo était cool.😉
( this video was good)
I like the look, the similarity with the F-.100 is nice. Cool shape.
There was the supermystere B.4 that was even closer to the F-100, new wings and engine, could reach mach1.3
@@fireshadow7598 That´s pretty nice!
I've been wondering about this plane a lot, sometimes i catch one dead with my A-4 but sometimes they could handle a fight well. A very nice review
Don't worry about the french pronounciation, you did it a lot better than most non french-speaking people :)
God, i love this channel!
Wow you are cranking out the quality!! Impressive:) thank you.
Wonderful review as per usual. Grinding towards the Mystere B2 as we speak, and looking forward to getting some hands-on practice with this thing. :)
that Mig at 0:05 is something you dont want to mess with :P
anyway good videos mate! to be bland, i can enjoy your videos while eating :D

I _will_ get to the other 21's at some point. Its just a big list of cool jets to get through :-)

F-100D is damn gorgeous lol
I heard this 1st European achievement a 3ed time... swedish Drakken first mach something and some other nation first something and now French first...
Would you do the G.91 YS? At 9.7 it's also overtiered but it's a fun plane IMO. Only 2 AIM9B too..
Play F3D or F84B26

Faster than a CL saber with missiles and 30mm cannons and its still a lower BR
