Enjoyed! Sweet & clean. Love the yankee ingenuity on eliminating the unnecessary locking mechanism from the casters on hand. Harbor freight sells 'em with/without locking mechanisms. Ladder hoist tip, good to keep in mind...
Thanks for your videos on the retracting casters. I was able to make a set for my home made router table I built 30 + years ago. Planning on a set for my bandsaw also one of these days.
You are the best. I wish I could thank you in person. You have made my MILLENNIA. I have three of these units or saws and this is PERFECT. Exactly the idea I've been trying to setup. I'll let you you know when I've completed these. TY YOU GET ALL THE CREDIT.👨🔧😉
Good video easy to understand the workings.and the ladder hoist is awsome. It is the idea i needed to lift motor off my boat and on to a stand.keep up the video's
great video Mr holmgren, I have been needing of placing some of my tool on wheel .Well done God bless you and that you have the strength to do this Wow
I liked your idea so much, I bought the plans. It will be the first project in my new garage workshop. I do wish that in your materials sheet you had a shopping list of what to get and from where to make it easier. My local Lowe’s does not have 4in non-caster wheels. I am forced to make the casters rigid with two bolts on either side. Thanks and keep up good work!!
Mr. MacDonald; In addition to building two "sets" of Mr. Holmgren's Caster set-ups, I have fitted casters to a LOT of shop equipment in my Automotive Restoration Garage. I fitted a pair of "swivel" casters and a pair of "fixed" casters under the first shop item I built, a "Mig Welding Cart".. After that, I ONLY fit "Swivel" casters under ALL FOUR CORNERS! It didn't take long to figure-out that, in tight quarters, only having one pair of "steering" wheels can make positioning an item a royal PITA by repeatedly moving it back and forth until it's where I need/want it to be.. By having all four "steering" wheels, I can move a 4" x 8" table (with a Snap-On Engine Scope and Accessories) into any space/position, often within the area of it's own "length/width"!! Hopefully, Food for Thought. Chas.
Using a ladder to lift the saw is an amazing solution that I can’t believe I never thought of! 👏
That goes for me too. . .500 👏points for that hack !!
lol

Thank you for this very detailed instruction video! Your teaching style is great. Now I can put wheels on the antique Craftsman saw I bought. :-)
Nice remake from many years ago, I remember !!!
Always interesting to watch your skills for making mobile heavy machines. Thanks a lot
This is beautifully elegant. My dad and I are building something similar based on this. Thank you for sharing!
Hervorragend! Sehr gut durchdacht und sauber gefertigt!
Love the latch

Brilliant
A great idea. I have a big Startrite band saw thar will soon be mobile. My thanks to you.
You are something else
This is awesome, thanks so much for the video it really cleared things up. You're a smart guy :)
anyone have a set of plans the site doesnt seem to exist any longer?
How do I purchase the plans for your retractable wheels for your tablesaw?
Thank you Carl. On your table saw, what is that box between your TS dust collector box and above your caster mechanism?
The box below the dust collector hopper is a single large drawer for saw blades, dado blade set, etc.
@@CarlHolmgrenwoodworking Ahhhh…. Good idea! Thanks!
