I lost my wife of 19 years on 4-30-23 and I just heard this song on Gerald Wolfe's Gospel Music Hymn Sing from Atlanta Georgia in 2016 and now I can't stop listening to this as it reminds me that even though my wife has passed away that I am never alone.

I really miss the old songs a d singing around the piano. I like the new praise and worship music. However, there are times I want the substantial hymns that got our parents, grandparents, great grandparents, et central through the bad and good times.
As i listen to this comforting hymn i imagine what it was relly like for those first devoted disciples of CHRIST who held strong intense kindredhearts for one another as brotherhoodivn the workof the gospel and took great joy and delight in gathering together for closer communion relationally in homes longer to be set apart more to GOD , expressing authentic deep heartfelt love towards one another and praying fervently for power ,strength and unction to be true reflections representations of Christ to unsaved souls whom GOD did so choose to bring across their life path. ACTS 2;38-47
Absolutely beautiful. This type of music is a part of my heritage. Some of the best music and talent is born out of the Bible Colleges and churches within the Wesleyan, Bible Methodist, Nazarene and holiness movement. I love these people!

I love this so so much. It reminds me of my family and I getting together from youngest to oldest relatives from distant laces all come together is saying and playing gospel music that's the best nothing could ever replace that. You keep your family alive don't ever let this change. The Collingsworth family there something special. I have been so blessed and have been in tears while listening to all of these videos which I have seen is a part of some family reunions, Thanksgiving and just family gatherings. It has been a Hearts Desire of mine to have that with my family for so long, and I know that God is faithful and will allow that to come to pass one day. These are the best memories and the best songs of comfort. I have been taking some online courses on spiritual abuse and see the manipulation and hunger for power in too many churches today. Not all. Maybe not even a lot. But in two churches I fell into that destroyed me. I rarely leave my home, but I am so sooooooo grateful for these videos and the comfort of a Savior whose peace passes all understanding.

The kid's voices add to the worship experience. There is unity of the family being together from the stairs to the windows. Kids going back and forth from the room with toys to the bigger people that love them. People walk in and out or the piano area but it doesn't distract from the focus of worship as well. The lady who sings in the God is Bigger video had been caring for children in other songs, but her worship is strong during that song. Children shouldn't be dulled we need them in worship too.
craftygirlm4 if I had any rhythm and didn’t like my blue jeans and hiking boots so much, I would drive the few hours north and try to be a part of these family sing alongs at thanksgiving and the reunions....or I might drive up to Hardy and try to get adopted!
Is this arrangement (these verses, mainly is what I'm getting at) avialable online someplace? I haven't found a hymnal with especially the last stanza there; the lightning and thunder stanza and the refrain are widespread, but I'd like to have the whole version they sang!

No disrespect!! Your songs carry such anointing but for the respect of the Holy Spirit as He moves, why can't someone ensure there are no destructions, like children crying or yelling from the background.
This is just part of having a Big family, all gathered in a house, for Thanksgiving together. We allow the younger children to play ,even tho we get together around the piano. They're too young to understand, and it's not fair to them to make them be silent while we're singing in another part of the house. This is just Life, with 40-50 ppl enjoying time together.
I love hearing them playing. Children are included in the worship. The going to get a drink, grabbing a phone, or having a child come in isn't a distraction when they are focused. The Holy Spirit loves children and it is beautiful to honor and respect how their simplicity also adds to worship.
I didn't even notice kids being a distraction, I listened to the song and honestly didn't feel like anything was interrupting. Beautiful family singing! Keep on praising God !

What a testament of Mom and Keaton and the way they brought up their children. It has been passed down through many generations.
