I have a G6. I left it on top of my car's roof and drive off. 5 hours later I realized it wasnt lost, but most likely on the side of the road. I gps tracked it about 1/4 mile from my house and the screen was broken. The back of my thin case and pop socket had rock divets on them, so I knew it had gotten run over. I got a new screen and battery installed and it still works, I'm still using it.
@Zash Trolosaurus That doesn't happen for me either unless I'm using Snapchat which of course just sucks on Android as a whole. You might just be unlucky

My G6 is still going strong after almost 6 years! Even after having it fall out of my pocket and slide across parking lot floors multiple times, it only has minor scratches on the back and is still perfect otherwise. The metal border really helped it break some falls! It's sad to see that there are no new phones made as well as this one; all of them have either no headphone jack, no expandable storage, a notch or a huge camera bump...
@@Hamzah.162 honestly, I wouldn't get a G6 now. I replaced mine with a Sony Xperia 1 IV a couple months ago because I needed a bit more performance for my job. I have had this phone for almost 2 years and it is a very good phone. My only issue is the camera that used to work so perfectly and take great pictures changed. The camera area got scratched. May I have the LG G6 that you used in this scratch, burn, and bend test if you aren't using it anymore? Looks like it would still work for many years to come.

Love your videos. Questions: How tough or reliable are those screen protectors or tempered glass screen protectors? Have you done any experiment on them. I was always sceptical of them.
Hey Jerry, I recently (about a month ago) got a Huawei Mate 9. I know the glass is Gorilla Glass 3, and saw your durability video showing that the screen meets the hardness requirement for that. However there are several little what I'd call dents that look like small stains on the screen, that can't be removed and seem to be areas where the top coating of the glass has come off. Do you know what could have caused this, and what I can do to fix my screen? The pixels in these areas are slightly warped so when watching videos it's kinda annoying.
Nope, that's the weird thing about it all. Since I got it I've only used it with the official flipcase on it, so the screen is protected at pretty much all times. Yet still these weird dents appeared...
I got my LG G6 from an insurance replacement with AT&T. It's a significant upgrade from the HTC One A9 that this replaced. My larger hands grip the phone well and it feels comfortable so that's a plus, and I also agree with JRE when he says to get a screen protector and a case/skin. The back is a serious fingerprint magnent and the camera, while flush, gives an uneasy feeling leaving it on a rough surface.

Maybe he thinks youtube droptests that drop only 1 phone don't say much at all, and he probably would be right. There's just too much chance involved. That's why phone manufracturers drop ALOT of phones to test them, not just 1.
Yeah I can guarantee you the LG G6 is an absolute tank of a phone. I dropped it twice from 4 feet high onto solid concrete. Once on the bottom corner and then after flat out on its screen. I have never seen an iPhone or Samsung phone resist this kind of drop. My G6 still has the battle scars and I will continue using it without a case forever. I will be doing the transparent back mod whenever it's time to swap in a new battery. I don't like wireless power because it's just wasting energy and heats up the phone for no good reason.
Same here check the internet this must be a design flaw in the phone same happened with the G5 apparently. Mine was in my pocket when I took it out the camera glass was smashed. I had a case on it too never had a problem with any other phone. LG need to do something about this.
Patrick Jones Dude, the same thing happened to my camera lens. I was using a skin AND a case and noticed that my camera was magically cracked ...luckily it doesn't effect picture quality but still sucks (apparently it's an easy fix to replace the glass so that's cool)
I had to watch this because I preorder the lgg6 and had little info! thanks for all the posts. last but not least you are gorgeous, just thought you should know. thanks again
otakurocks Well obviously, if you use words like 'tedious', people will take it offensively. You should be asking why the guy had to rudely comment on something so small. Like who even cares?
Do you know another company that makes skins like that for various phones? Coz I'd like to know. It looks to me like case vs screen is actually just case vs dbrand skin. I've never seen any in stores either.

Don't breathe too hard on it. Those dovetail joints don't play around.
A wood grain skin would have worked well with those.

Is there any particular reason why they used gorilla glass 3 instead of 4 or 5? As far as i know- the newer, the better for the durability.
Piotr Sulej LG claimed it was thinness of the glass. that's why it's the newer on the back, older and thinner on the display.
Amal V Pillai Stop spamming you idiot! The G glass 5 is as good as it's predecessors in terms of scratch resistance, just with a better hardness.

Mark M does lg g6 heats up fast?
got my G6 because of this video..i ve put on a UAG plasma case and a Spigen tempered glass screen protector...it's a brilliant device tbh
Why do most new phones activates NFC function on their first time boot up? Had been wondering this for a long time.
Speed Tan to transfer data from your older android smartphone to a new one by using android beam(NFC)
You should do a durability test on the new Nokia 3310
I just got my first dbrand skin ever, for this phone. Thanks for introducing me to them both :)
I really like this phone. But 32gb of storage space is not enough for me. Bad decision LG...
It's expandable up to 256GB. Just get a fast sd card for transfer of data.
Tj Flex ummm you can't move apps to the SD card so SD cards are USELESS!!!
my new g6 camera protective glass has shattered without any logical reason. only in one week use. not dropped or smashed! Disappointing!
That happened to mine today as well. I woke up and noticed it when i have never dropped it and i have a case. So disappointed.
Leesam Safa me to it looks like a tiny Circle crack
I've had mine for about a month there are no cracks or scratches maybe your just clumsy
I'd love to see a phone review, test or whatever without having a dbrand plug shoved at me. Very tedious.
+Angus Muir lol. Don't watch then bro. Pretty simple.
Oh JRE, can't do that cos I love your vids man. just dbrand everywhere :-)
otakurocks Well obviously, if you use words like 'tedious', people will take it offensively. You should be asking why the guy had to rudely comment on something so small. Like who even cares?
Do you know another company that makes skins like that for various phones? Coz I'd like to know. It looks to me like case vs screen is actually just case vs dbrand skin. I've never seen any in stores either.
lol LG !
just got this phone, glad to hear its solid!
Say my name Zack
+Walter White I am the one who knocks.
JerryRigEverything you are god damn right
Q ball 😊
Thanks for that ending reference. Something LG couldn't do at all.
kills me as I watch it being scratched and bent
2.20 it really scratched... easily and this guy says its scratchresistant
the metal around the cameras scratched. not the actual camera
deathcenter115 nono, look at the "glass"... it scratched
wait my bad. rewatched it again. that was a smudge, he wiped it with a tissue and it went away
deathcenter115 Yes, that might be the answer :D
I loved how you did not miss the oppurtunity of that puuuun
I feel relaxed listening your voice
wow ...after watching this video...i love my G6 even more...great video sir...thanks....
Love your videos!,I subbed last week and have been binge watching all your videos. Also love your humour and constant apple roasting.keep it up!
After I saw the teardown I knew this thing will pass the bend test
