- The Pat Travers Band performs "Stevie" at Cranes Roost for the recording the of album "Best Of The Blues Plus Live" (Shrapnel 1997). This was a super hot summer night in Florida. With Sean Shannon on drums and Kevin Rian on bass. Live sound: Don Barnard. Studio sound and recording: Darryl Phillips.
Pat Travers Band has always been my favorite since 1978. Saw him in May of 81 and a gazillion times after that.
Used to listen to Pat Travers In late 70's smoke weed then go surfing all day best of times
PT's voice still full range. Kevin's Bass is monstrous, filling up a lotta space. He ands Sean are so tight together on these vids. I've been playing and singing PT tunes on guitar since '77. Still LOVE doing them. Thanks much for sharing these with us, Sean.

First time I seen Pat play a Strat. TRAVERS IS A GUITAR PLAYERS GUITAR PLAYER. Ask one. He is mine PT. LOVE YA BROTHER
If you have never seen him live, fix that. He is like a Robin Trower and a Jimmy Page wrapped into one bad ass unit. Good singer, great guitar player and a very kind generous man. One of the best.

Saw this lineup in Monroe, LA. Blew the club away. Been 12 years or so and I don't imagine they've rebuilt yet.
Preach on, I was there also and you are correct, Amazing is simply not good enough a word to describe it. Damn, my Marshall ear got worse that night. HA!

Kevin was a "pick" player, but more than held his own -believe me. No one will ever replace Mars, but Rodney O'Quinn is holding his own these days more than all of Mars' successors - Hi Rodney from MissingMars.
