What a brilliant version of both songs...A kid growing up in Ottawa , Canada , playing in clubs ,and paid his dues. This is f...king classic rock n' roll. And the rest of these guys....Brilliant musicians.
Saw Pat Travers in a small bar in Toronto a few years back & he literally brought the house down with a 3 piece. I recommend him to ALL that will listen.
Pat is a guitarist Singer, loaded with energie. Perfectionist , i've never stop to ear him since i've heard his guitar game and use of effects. He is a Master.
Wow...!! A huge fan of Pat's and always blown away by the band's laser-tight attack...his choice of support players is second-to-none. Backed-up the band many years ago in a Chicago club ( What a trip!). Sean, being a drummer myself, I only wish I could have a pinch of your talent. I'm sure you worked very hard at the craft, but the fluidity and spot on timing with an almost effortless appearance has the mark of a natural!! You have gained a fan. Keep it up! Looking forward to catching you live...
Saw him in a small club years ago w/ my now ex-husband. Didn't know who he was, then, or that he had done "Boom boom, out go the lights". Searing guitar work- even in a studio.
This song has been played a bazillion times by cover bands all over the world for the last 40 years. But... you'll never hear a cover band play it this good... ever. Most just butcher it.
Saw Pat at the Bayou in Georgetown, DC. Unfortunately it was a Tuesday night and Pat didn’t come out till midnight 🕛, He walked out banged back a shot, flicked a lit cigarette 🚬 into the crowd ( super cool move) then He and Jerry Riggs did the fat cat shake. Played all the hits till about 2:30 🕝 in the morning. Then we had an hour ride home then had to get up and go to work. Didn’t get no sleep that night, Snorting Cocaine and drank copious amounts of liquor 🍹. Those were the days. I couldn’t do that now, no way in hell.
