    I was blessed to see him 3 times.
    Met him, Pat Thrall, Peter Mars Cowling and Tommy Aldridge at tower records in Mountain View 1978. #legends

      Have always loved this song, especially when he has a second guitar player, just fills it out perfectly. IMO one of his best songs, along with Snortin' Whiskey ❤

    I saw Pat Travers in 1979 and 1980.. (The Thrall Aldridge years) Then again with an entirely different band in 1988... but this is the first time I can say I've seen them play this song at the correct tempo... This is a slow song and it benefits from being played slowly (Harder said than done live, as we all know, live performances tend to be too fast)

    Life changes everything, understand it, but sure miss the 70's lineup, especially Mars & Tommy... no offense to these guys at all, but Mars's bass just SANG with Pat's songs, & Tommy's drums were perhaps the best in hard rock at the time (and yes, that includes Neil Peart).

    • @SeanShannonDrums
      @SeanShannonDrums  9 років тому +3

      lastdaysguitar Yup! I miss the original lineup too. What a great bunch of guys. And I agree about Tommy Aldridge. It was his double kick work that originally turned me into a Travers fan.

      The original line up was fantastic and agree no disrespect to any of these musicians at all but Tommy Aldridge is a Monster musician and Mars was phenomenal

      @@texasflood3165 Pat Thrall left the band in 1980. This is Kirk McKim on the other guitar. Kirk is a kick ass player. He was a perfect fit,like Thrall was. Too bad PT let him go and went back to a 3 piece. I think it came down to $$$.

    as Travers said once in an interview, that was a smokin hot band, current line up is fine but the songs are played with different drumming, bass,and time signatures, rhythms etc.
