The Brembo Difference || GSXR Brembo Upgrade Review

- We recently upgraded the brakes on our 2008 Suzuki GSXR 750 from the stock Nissin Tokiko combo to a full set of Brembo's with braided stainless lines. Took some time but we finally got the chance to test out the new setup on the track and decided to let you know whether or not the money is worth spending. Brembo has a big name all across the motorsport industry and is often regarded as the highest quality in brake components. Sport bikes usually arrive with impressive braking systems from factory so we were curious if this much money spent would really make the difference, or if you're just paying for the name. Especially since we bought some of the lower ranked items from the Brembo lineup. Make sure you stick around in the video to see how we feel about them and what the specific differences are between this upgrade and the stock setup!!
Been contemplating brake ducts. Informative video!
Ducts on an aprilia?
@@JKMotoEntertainment Yamaha R7 (23’)
@@the_rush_to_nothing I didn't know they had a brake duct option for many other models. That's cool!
@@the_rush_to_nothing What race series are you winning?
Are you close to Hallet Motor Racing Circuit in Jennings Oklahoma?
Depends on the definition of close, but personally I would say no not quite.
@@JKMotoEntertainment were you there this past weekend, August 3? There was an Aprilia there, like yours, we were having fun and that thing sounded good.
@@radrock6249 no I was actually out in Utah racing this past weekend. Those bikes do sound so good though!!
Brakes before suspension is crazy
This is true, but when your light enough that you don't need resprung and your suspension has been adjusted accordingly, paired with a broken set of brakes, this is where you end up.
I agree with you suspension before brakes. Especially upgrading the rear shock, most rear shocks are garbage and just destroy rear tires vs having a nice shock and tuned by a suspension tuner. Also upgrading suspension matters by the track. If the surface is bumpy and not smooth, then having fork cartridges will be huge improvement, if the surface is flat smooth then the time shaving wont be as great. For instance my buddy a pro rider, on his r6 he put down a .25 faster lap time then his k-tech dds. On my r6 I only have ktech rear shock, front forks are all stock with just fresh seals n fluid. Because our tracks are smooth here, im able to beat and compete with many of the fully kitted bikes.
Brakes are first and foremost the most important with suspension a close second
You definitely need a good working set of brakes! It's very difficult to ride safely around a racetrack at a quick pace if you can't slow your bike!!
Most people just change pads and fluid. People who are faster than me, and probably faster than you.
I agree with that, I'm definitely not fast enough to warrant a full change like this without the old ones not working.
My 2024 750 come standard with brembos
This is true, I want to say post 2015 the GSXR lineup came standard with brembo brakes.
The new beemers K67 with premium package doesn't comes with brembos so does the mighty M1000RR
Yeah BMW went back to BMW brakes, they are a solid brake setup though!
