Thanks. It's a beautiful piece of engineering. Olly who is our client relationship manager has full hel set up with calipers etc and really rates it on his R1. 👍 Aaron Knox
really nice video everyone goes for the brembos but nice to see you supporting a UK made product there for something different. I would love to see Knox make a full one piece suit similar to the Handroid gloves but for the full body.
Good review and a British engineering marvel ,, with a reasonable price with seems like a great upgrade thanks for posting this ☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
Very interesting video! Love the all black bike and suit combo, looks wicked 👌🏽. I’ve never done a track day and it’s on my list of things to do. How about a video with a few tips for tracking days for beginners?
Many thanks glad you liked it! Yes, actually we did do a video on our channel which you can watch as a guide to new track day riders. Basically it followed my experience of getting into track days a few years ago... But yes we'll keep producing them. You should definitely try track riding, it will make you a 100% better rider and youll absolutely love it! Thanks Aaron Knox
Just watched your video after attempting to fit my new hel mater cylinder.. guess what.. didnt think brake light and dont have the brake cable..😭.. so at present I need to brake front and rear to alert drivers behind.. also my hel Lines kit supplied me the wrong thread bolt for front right caliper so used oem.. Quick question..would I need to faff around bleeding the brakes again to attach the brake light line.. 🤔.. Great video by the way..lovely looking bike and the vide was very calm clear and relaxing to watch..thank you so much..
Thanks very much for kind feedback. Yes, you'll need to bleed brakes again after attaching the banjo brake light switch. I think I put the link in description for the correct one... Of course though, its not a full brake line overhaul so wont take as long as if you were putting lines on without any brake fluid in. Done a couple of track days since installing the Hel master cylinder and it seems to have eliminated brake fade! Thanks, Aaron KNOX
I've been wanting g to upgrade my gsxr 750 master cylinder, also interested in some used gsxr 1000 brembo clippers. For what I can tell the mater cylinder is a bigger improvement over calipers though.
From feedback I've had from racers and track day goers, master cylinders on these bikes make the biggest improvement... but one step at a time! Aaron Knox
@@bikefever3569 I fitted a used Brembo RCS19 and it was a world of difference. Since then I did an R6 caliper conversion as a cheap upgrade. Haven't had a lot of time on the bike since I did it but it feels more linear so far. The stock tokicos had a lot of initial bite before pestering out I think.
Thanks. Well to be fair, I changed clutch not that long ago and its a pretty straight forward process. If you follow the manual, its really pretty easy to do. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
Another good mod to make. I run the SBS Race Sintered pads and they do wear quickly. Be very keen to hear how the DC pads go - wear and feel. Assume you had to bed them in to put a 'layer' onto the disks - how was that?
Thanks. First track day in March so will give an update on Knox blog after then. Feel nice on the road, but its impossible to tell full story at road speed. Re bedding in, a tiny bit and they seem to be a bit soft in cold road conditions, but that's probably a good thing for track where I want them to manage heat a bit better. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
These are the SBS DC pads you mention. Been through a few sets of them now and they are fantastic. The DS-1 is the top of the range, Im yet to use these as are super expensive, but they are meant to be incredible and last for ages. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
Another awesome video chaps. Let us know if you need anything else for the might GSX-R750. Might we suggest a Lithium Ion battery switch next? The weight saving is staggering when compared to a conventional acid filled battery. Be sure to let us know if you fancy one.
Many thanks glad you think so! 😆 Yes a lithium battery would be a fantastic upgrade 👌. If you want to get in touch via Instagram that would be great 👍. Many thanks Aaron Knox
Good question, not sure tbh. What I can say is this new set up solves the brake fade issue, especially with regular brake fluid changes. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
How has this held up over time ? Do you know if Hel have rectified the width issue on the bracket ? The pics im seeing online dont look nearly as wide or rounded. Also did the resiviour mounting point have to be modified at all ? Thinking of installing 1 of these on my L7 1000 .
Hi, its held up perfectly over the course. Basically, as long as i have decent pads and fairly fresh brake fluid, I literally never have to think about braking performance. Its a fantastic set up... Another thing is that I got my calipers overhauled and serviced which must have helped. Not sure whether Hel have reduced the bracket thickness for their new model of master clyinder tbh. Hope that helps, Aaron KNOX
Thanks, but its actually fine, perhaps the bike was in gear and it just looks like it as I always check my chain tension, particularly on track. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
Great content, first video we’ve seen on the HEL mc. Nice seeing something other than an RCS 19!
Thanks. It's a beautiful piece of engineering. Olly who is our client relationship manager has full hel set up with calipers etc and really rates it on his R1. 👍 Aaron Knox

Thanks! Yes its a beautifully made product! Thanks and yes an iron man suit basically 🤣! Aaron Knox
Very interesting Aaron, might need one of these for my new K8 😀
Probably not a bad idea, think the 1000 set up on k8 is same as 750. 😀
Don't you dare do anything tarty to that bike chopsy, what a wonderful find.

Great video, will be doing this on my 2010 750. Have you fitted the clutch perch lever as well from HEL?

I have just fitted a brembo master cylinder from a Ducati V2 ( £147 and it feels so much better than the original.

Hreat video guys! Would like to see in the future an detailed clutch replacement video... Not alot of good videos about that
Thanks. Well to be fair, I changed clutch not that long ago and its a pretty straight forward process. If you follow the manual, its really pretty easy to do. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
Thanks knox ill follow the manual hopefully i dont screw things up

Have you tried using SBS dual carbon race pads?

Am I correct in thinking the stock 750 has a standard master cylinder piston size of 15.8mm?
Good question, not sure tbh. What I can say is this new set up solves the brake fade issue, especially with regular brake fluid changes. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
Ive a k9 gsxr600 and the breaks are terrible even with the new braided lines, what would yiu recommend? Mines just a road bike no track days
Next big upgrade is a proper aftermarket master cylinder and good brake pads. Will make huge difference. Thanks, Aaron KNOX

Looks great, does the brake light pressure switch react quickly?
The brake light switch works fine... its a bit lazy but fine. Hope that helps. Aaron Knox
@@KnoxArmour Thanks, I'm debating one for a road bike so just thinking of cars behind and the MOT
Any chance you could advise as to which brake light switch would work on a 2013 Yamaha R1?
Best bet would be to call Hel performance. They are really helpful and knowledgeable re this subject.
Once the master cylinder was installed, did you find the actual lever touched or rubbed against the fairings when it was on full lock to the right?
whats is your motorcycle miles, in odometer ?
Wouldn't want to do that stoppie with me on it.....bent forks or a snapped headstock😂
Haha... still carrying a bit much festive weight myself! 😅
Have you tried the dual carbon sbs brake pads?
Just on a run out on the road. Will be taking them on track in March and will give an update on the Knox blog. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
interesting
Exhaust system?
Stock exhaust. Good performance, no issues with track day noise regs. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
Mon rêve
On the pic at 3:25, your chain is too tight
Thanks, but its actually fine, perhaps the bike was in gear and it just looks like it as I always check my chain tension, particularly on track. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
