This is just MAD! When the rocket was oscillating heavily in the atmosphere, I wondered how the outer engines did not "cook" the inner tanks and everything survived. :)

Why don't you take that rocket, give it a ton of heat shields, and aim it toward eve or duna or something. It could be a really fast transport ship.

Can you build a 1MTon rocket? V >500km/s, no nuclear rockets?
+Daniel Rocha Getting a total dV of greater than 500km/s will prove to be incredibly arduous thanks to the tyranny of the rocket equation. I don't know if such a rocket can be processed on most computers or even run without KSP instantly crashing. The part count will be astronomical
+Austin Lee (Jesus2ndCousin) I think the problem is the tyranny of the limits of software/hardware ... It's all virtual there. The program lags with only a Saturn V! If there was a way to at least multiply stuff without legging so much...
Daniel Rocha I agree. Hopefully this problem will at least be somewhat remedied when Squad officially releases the update for compatibility with Unity 5 and a 64-bit version. But again, try to design a rocket (on paper if you have to) in ksp that can provide 500km/s. That's quite a lot! It'll only be so long before you give up, go to the engine part information files, and add a few zeros to the Isp. lol
100 % impossible . I would have to double the size of the ship for every 10 km/s extra (with Ion) - that means i would have to double it 42 times
to gain the extra 420 km/s . 35000 tons x 2>42 = 35000 x 4000 000 000 000 = 140 000 000 000 000 000 tons .
+Turbo Pumped I don't think it would be impossible. But a matter of rendering or simplifying the simulation. It would be great to have some sort of worldships. Also, you are not considering stages.
With some orbital assembly you might be able to get double this or even triple. Everyone only cares about the land speed record but what about the stock space speed record?

It is. Any spacecraft that flies at relativistic (IE a significant fraction of the speed of light) speeds can be used as a doomsday device. You just have to aim at your target, light up the engines and not slow down.
Couldn't you have used a mod with a SSME for the lower stages for even more Delta-V?
