I feel like this should have black headlining. Will you be doing a Kodiaq vs Tayron video? Almost pulled the trigger on a kodiaq, but this looks like it could be the choice if the price is right!

We'd love to do one when both cars are available.

VW (German) cars are generally dark black hole cars. I'm glad to see they offer brighter colors, especially a light head liner. Only small children would make me consider otherwise.

lol, clearly his English is not that good. I cringed too when he said that though but I think he did not mean it that way.

So the Kodiaq gets a different coloured D pillar and an unlit plastic strip between the rear lights but it gets better controls for the ventilation system. It looks like Tayron may come with the larger screen as standard unlike the Kodiaq which has the smaller screen as standard.

The issue is the Kodiaq controls look very cheap. Overall skoda doesn’t look premium at all. This car looks more premium but fails on many key aspects. Like the back lights are just awful.

@@lordcritias I wouldn't call the awful, but they certainly don't look premium by any means.

Were their lives in physical danger if they spent the time and energy in designing a new eUP!?

Show us the car, not the talking heads. The ambient lightning panel on the door create a reflection at night and during the day at certain sun angles. The wheels are just ugly, but that's true on every VW.
As for the lighted logos, its a gimmick which I wouldn't mind if the owner can turn it off through the infotainment. VWs are known for their subtle appearance. On the bright side, I do like the light interior. A stark change from the dark and gloom abyss typical of VWs.
Overall it looks OK, but it definitely won't be turning any heads. It will have some stiff competition when the new RAV4 comes out next year. Now the question is will there be true performance R model coming to the U.S. this time? That would truly set it apart from the others. Take a chance VW, like what Hyundai does. Especially when the Tiguan is its best seller. It needs to come in all flavors.

Russian is responsible for the interior design of German VW Tayron?! My money are not going to that pocket.
