Flew with AeroMexico 787-8 from Seoul to Mexico City last year at the end of June. Nice flight, great cabin crew. Another nice video from Just Planes.
I have flown Aeromexico from LA to Honduras, excellent airline.
The best part is the Mexico City to Honduras leg, flying just above Pico de Orizaba when the glacial is full of ice and the popocatepelt spewing smoke is just an unforgettable experience.
Once again I am happy to see two intelligent, capable women flying planes. 👏💖
Intelligent how ? Capable in 1 area. Being capable to do 1 thing does not prove intelligence. She may very well be intelligent but I dont believe we can perceive intelligence from this no matter what sex they are.

This plane is amazing and beautiful inside and out. I love the cockpit, but this cabin looks amazing; I enjoy seeing the service. I enjoy listening to and watching these pilots. The view outside these windows was amazing. I love the engine view and the other aircraft encounter as well. Awesome smooth landing that sounds amazing. Great pilots and a great airline. I love it; awesome video.

This is a very cool plane for up to 300 passengers and 60 tons payload capacity. Heavy drought is affecting 66% of Mexico so air transportation of food will become more and more important. Of course drought also covers over 70% of the United States so the drought problem is now almost everywhere.

Interesting to see the cabin crew at work in this video, these types of videos need more of this diversification, makes a change from the usual 'wash, rinse, and repeat' format i.e. take off, flight, landing. Can (on occasions) get rather samey - but the geeky types love it 🤓

The sound you heard was the auto throttle being disconnected
The warning sound is in fact the Autopilot Disconnect alert, and the call ‘flight director’ is the flying pilot calling the FMA(flight mode annunciator) mode change as displayed in the HUD FMA field (from A/P to FLT DIR) We make same calls in our operations as Boeing procedure for crew awareness of AFDS mode changes. Autothrottle not normally disconnected in regular operations as it is used right through to touchdown, as it automatically retards thrust to idle in the flare. It is a great aircraft to fly!!

Just Planes - Do we know if female and male pilots receive the same salary and benefits at Aeromexico based on education and experience?
Yes they do, more over as the commander in this video is a Pilot/Instructor and she should be in the top of Aeroméxico salary tables. All Aeromexico & Aeromexico Connect pilots are part of a Union (ASPA - Asociasión Sindical de Pilotos Aviadores de México) that is one of the most careful in that kind of situations, as they are one of the few Unions encouraging equal treatment between Union members, no matter the sex or any other factors that may come to any kind of discriminations or unfair treatment.
Do all Aeromexico cockpits operate in English or is this just for the show?

She, the head Pilot, did not take off the Auto Pilot till they were probably 400 feet from the runway threshold, talk about laziness or fearing to actually piloting the aircraft on landing.
Then she takes her hand off the engine and reverse thrusters column right about 20 feet or so from touching the runway, WHY? Her copilot had to say, reverse thrust, and then finally she took her right hand off the steering column and open the reverse thrusters.
Unreal.

@@tonyalvarez5815 It’s not your profession. You have no idea how obvious that is. ‘Head pilot’ - couldn’t think of the right word could you? Fear of handling the plane? You’ve judged that from a tiny snap shot in a single moment of her whole professional career. Let me give you a hint - pilots don’t need to prove themselves to you. She’s proved herself to those with actual insights (unlike you) in line training, in upgrade training, her multiple sim LPCs/OPCs and line checks.
For your education, the autopilot is disconnected early and some days it’s not. Depends on many factors from fatigue to whether you can be arsed. Sometimes it’s satisfying and enjoyable and other times you feel there’s no particular reason that day. The only reason that you can put that down to either fear or laziness is because the idea of operating an airliner is so novel to you that you can’t see or appreciate that it’s just a normal routine day for a pilot. You might do quite a bit of manual flying one day, and others maybe not - you don’t keep a score card, it’s not a big deal. But you’d know that if you were one. You’d also know that there’s more to operating an aircraft than just showing UA-cam your manual flying skills. Say, managing the whole general operation and team to descent planning and energy management, for example. But again, you wouldn’t know what I was talking about. Just stick to your flight sim or PPLing or whatever you do.

She is probably a terrific pilot and like you said I should not have taken that moment in time to make that stupid comment.
