I did not know how to react to this video, I guess I was surprised to see someone that I have not seen in almost 40 years. I actually went to the same aeronautical school that the captain on the left (Bouchra Bernoussi) in this video went to, in the early eighties. The CFP-RAM (Centre De Formation Professionnelle- Royal Air Maroc) was a very small, but exclusive Academy, adjacent to the now-defunct Anfa Airport in Casablanca, Morocco. At the time, there were about 200 Moroccan students or so, and about two dozen international students in the whole school, ranging from aircraft mechanics of all sorts and degrees to stewards, engineers, and pilots. The school has moved to a different location many years ago now. Obviously, the now-captain in the video studied piloting, while I studied aircraft engineering/mechanics. Bouchra Bernoussi (the captain), and Oumaïma Sayeh (another female pilot who graduated at the same time) were the first Moroccan women pilots to officially fly commercial airplanes in Morocco. When the two women received their honorary awards from the now-deceased King Hassan II of Morocco (I received mine from the minister of transportation -no bragging here, but just for the history books), I remember, there was a sense of national pride and also a PR stunt from the king, but I have to say that those two women worked very hard, were very cool, down-to-earth modest, disciplined, and fun. Unfortunately, Oumaïma was killed in a plane crash (she was actually a passenger in that flight) flying from Agadir to Casablanca, where the crash was caused by a suicidal male captain against a contesting different female co-pilot. Destiny? I am so glad and proud to see an old colleague flying a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. In case you are wondering what I am doing now, well, I have moved to the USA 30 years ago where I am an executive chef for a restaurant group. What a change! _Dylan Elhajoui

It gives me a lot more confidence in flying seeing how much attention to detail and the amount of professionalism that pilots work under. Well, I can beat this. I flew RAM, from JFK to YMX, it was their flagship 747-400. As an employee from another airline, I had asked if it was ok to visit the flight deck. The purser took me upstairs, and as soon as I entered the cockpit, something didn't look right. When I introduced myself to the Captain, I was stunned to see that it appeared that I was older than he was. At the time, I was only 30. So my curiosity was up, and I respectfully asked him his age. When he responded, my suspicions were correct. The Captain of this Boeing 747-400, Queen of the Skies, was only 26 years old. You read that right. 26. Turns out, he had saved the Kings life, when he was a military pilot, and in return, the King promoted him to Captain on the spot. He was the youngest 747 Captain at the time, and the nicest pilot I had ever met. He was the PF, and probably made one of the prettiest landings I had ever experienced in a 747, and overall one of the best flights I had ever had in my 30 year airline career.
Thats a very cool story! We also filmed the RAM 747-400 and had a fantastic pilot who was about to retire. Would have loved to also film the pilot you're talking about! These pilots also fly the King as the King flew on those 2 B747-400s RAM operated, one of which was the one you flew on and we filmed as well but both of those are now gone and replaced with a 747-8 which only flies for the King and not the airline.

What about the one on the left? Yes, it's well seen that these comment sections are top-heavy with males. The male pilots never receive such comments. However, the comments here for these 2 ladies have been highly clean and respectful.

So proud to have Moroccan women pilots ❤️🇲🇦
The one on the right is just gorgeous… First Officer I presume . Nice voice beautiful smile. Prey eyes. Impressive video. A joy to watch
What about the one on the left? Yes, it's well seen that these comment sections are top-heavy with males. The male pilots never receive such comments. However, the comments here for these 2 ladies have been highly clean and respectful.
Thanks for this great video so much things to learn from. Thanks also to these great ladies so proud of them
