The vocals are always made by the drummer, the bassist and the keyboard player (Tom Rowley) in rotation; depends on the song. You can see in the other live performance that Rowley always does it.
Thanks for the upload and as always, your honest reaction. I enjoy the Artic Monkeys, and had no issue with your critique of them, as we watched a good live representation of them.
I agree the backing vocals are off key but I don't think it's on purpose, they probably just don't try to make it sound right because they're 3 of them doing it (drums/bass/keys) and the main one is the drummer, pretty difficult to sing right at that pitch with that energetic drum track moving that much
Honestly, that's the fairest score for that performance that I can think of. You broke it down perfectly, and even bringing in the Pearl Jam/Black Unplugged (singing off key on purpose) thing was important, too. I liked the song a lot! I've not seen or heard much from Arctic Monkeys, so I may have to seek more from them out based on this. Thanks, DH!
Thanks for the reaction, good as always! I'd be really glad if you react to Muse- the handler live at Roskilde 2015 aand Muse- Killed or be killed. Wishing you a happy new year!!
Feeling you Dave. I like this song, but it's not my favorite. I applaud their use of a very simple structure and the kind of free flow lyrical style. The dissonant style they have in this one kind of makes this work. Btw, in my head this is called "the creepy stalker song"
Hey David really appreciate you reacting to AM can you please do more of the foo fighters live performances? Possibly his tribute to Taylor Hawkins show My Hero … His son played on the drums🌝❤️
Why would they sing out of key on purpose? Doesn't make sense. I think this might have been a combination of a track and live backing vocals that just didn't harmonize well with the track...or a bad sound mix. Also the drummer does backing vocals too and he was seen doing this a few times in this video.
Let’s be real - 80% of his reaction is to the actual live performance rather than the song per se. He spends a lot of time on how in time the drummer is, locating the backing vocalists, whether the bassist is using a pick or not, the exuberance or lack thereof of the lead singer etc etc Give him the studio version and all that goes out the window
Matt Helders on the drums sings the harmonies.
Matt on drums does most of the backing vocals.

There can also be josh homme if you listened closely and wikipedia says he does backing vocals on song 3 and 11 so this and knee socks
Siiiii por fin mas de Arctic Monkeys! :')

Kinda a bummer it’s always live performances 😕
It is the drummer singing.

Why do people send you the link to live performances, like if you've never listened to a song before, listening to the studio version is a must?
X2
But how would people know if Dave had already heard the song or not?
Live versions tend to avoid the copyright blockers better.
Some artist are better live than in studio, peak oasis and any Kasabian song are good examples, also stone roses

There are better performances of this song!!
There are no tracks!
It's quite clear that the drummer is doing the backing vocals are you blind?
You can see at 4:30 that the drummer isn’t singing all of the backing vocals. Don’t be an asshole if you’re just going to be wrong, lol.
@@user-cu4jw3um6n He is doing the higher pitch of backing vocals which David commented on so maybe it is you who is the asshole? hmm?
