    I needed this 😭😭😭 I have a 15 and 13 year old with a new baby. I thought I'd be ok but it's so hard. And my hubby doesn't understand, only other mama's love the reminder God sees me. Yes and Amen!!

    • @girlteachme
      @girlteachme  Рік тому +3

      Oh wow, yes that is a challenge for sure to start over. My mama had my baby brother when my sister was 11 and I was 15, so I get flashbacks of her at that time. Honestly, I look back on my mama in that season with so much admiration. I know it helped more than I realize with my parenting to have had an infant brother in those formative years AND to see my mama tired and work hard. I know you are shaping your big kid's vision of mothering even when you are exhausted and spent. Asking Jesus to fill you with energy, peace, and supernatural contentment in this season. Praying that you would continue in your faithfulness no matter how little help you receive and when no one understands, bc like you said HE SEES YOU and DELIGHTS in YOU! Keep up the good work friend! It is beautiful to Him and praying you will see a harvest from all of that faithful planting in the hearts of your children.

    You touched my heart talking about it matters to the Lord. I feel so looked over and hurt and like no one listens to me. I so treasure my one month old but it is hard feeling so unsupported and taken for granted. Thank You. The God who sees.

      Oh Hilary, I am so sad that you are feeling this way. Praying for God to surround you with some women to come around you and encourage you, but also for those in your home to see you and encourage you too. Also, I think it is the very work we do in the unseen that is sometimes the most beautiful to God. Keep lifting up that hidden offering of faithfulness and keep doing the good. It is growing in you and me a beautiful character that I believe is unfading beauty talked about in Proverbs. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment and encourage me. God does see us. That is both convicting and encouraging to me, but I know He gives us the strength to keep showing up well for our home. 🤍

    Thank you very much for your video. My husband and I moved when I was pregnant, and I still don’t know hardly anyone. My 8 week old has colic and doesn’t sleep much. I feel completely incompetent at being a good wife, mother, and home maker. I want to get a lot done, but instead I feel a bit like I am drowning/failing. Your video has really encouraged me.

      Ah I am so happy for you! Being mama is the best job! YES your work is beautiful in the unseen. All the ways you stop what you want to be doing, to pause and care for the one who needs you and can't do for themselves. I know it is growing something in all of us when we have to choose to love another more than ourselves. Keep going and I hope you feel so important today, bc you really are. Even if the world doesn't give us praise for our work, it really really matters to Him!

    Felt like I need a break and also felt I couldn’t get anything done , I’m just tired of holding my 9month old all day , my body hurts . I have no energy left to do anything around the house . My house is messy so is my mind . Thank you for this video . I will be strong, I will make this work. I will keep timer and clean the house and take good care of my family

Maybe take a look at my "You Can Still Change" video, it sounds like you are on what I talk about as the hero's journey, it will make more sense after the video, but I can tell you are climbing a hard mountain like so many of us are in motherhood, I know all our unseen work matters to the Lord and is beautiful in His sight ❤️

    Im so tired but i couldn't sleep because I kept thinking of all the things I needed to get done and didn't do today. my 6 month old is sleeping and I just came out in the living room to do some work and I prayed God why do I feel like this, i don't know how to do it all. And I looked up how to keep a house tidy with a baby and this one stuck out to me for some reason, i didn't even know you were going to be so encouraging I was kinda just grasping for something but now I'm sitting here crying and feeling released of all the unnecessary expectations that I had on myself and am looking around and seeing the things that I have accomplished and feeling so comforted by God in a way i haven't in a long time. So all this to say, thank you. And thank you God for seeing everything!

      @girlteachme  Рік тому +1

      Yes I get that! So tough if we are being woken up at night or are just pouring out so much. I really feel you on that, but praying for more ways for you to get that accomplished feeling of starting and finishing a project even if it is a sink of dishes. I heard a quote from Elisabeth Elliot the other day and it really inspired me, she said, "do a doable portion." For new mamas that doable portion may be 5 minutes of dishes and then I can feel really good that I moved the needle even though at other times in life a doable portion was way more. So just giving the little we have with all the faithfulness we can muster and then taking guilt free catnaps when needed. Sending love ❤️

    You adding The Good Lord made this even sweeter ❤ thanks so much for your encouragement. I have a 2 yr old, first and only kid. I had her at 36. I've babysat before, but this is still new to me and I'm married and still have my mom but God knows I didn't receive the support I thought I would get from my mom and my husband's a workaholic so no one has understood but God how hard a time I've been having. Just 1 kid and I feel like I can't climb up, it's crazy. I still don't feel like myself and it does depress me that I can't move like I used to and do what needs to be done. She is 2 and really living up to the terrible part and I just feel alone in this most days. But I know I'm not alone. I'm just a new Mom. And I needed this. I love you for it ❤️ and I love and thank God for you. I'm gonna start setting my timers ⏲️ 😌 and maybe go to a salon. My husband doesn't understand what's going on with me and I've gained so much weight. I tell you the love that fills my heart every time my daughter sees my body when I change clothes... She always smiles so sweetly and hugs me with unconditional love ❤️ I know that's from God. He knows.

    So glad to see other women struggle with this too. I'm honestly at my wits end. I wanted so badly to be a stay at home mum, and I'm so lucky to have an amazing husband who works hard to make it happen, but I'm absolutely hating it at the moment because I feel so frustrated about not being able to cook anymore or keep the house clean like I used to. I get to the end of the day and can't quite compute how I've managed to spend that many hours on just feeding, changing, burping and playing with our son. Everything I do with him seems to drag out and there's never enough time for the other things I want to get done because he cries if left alone for more than 5 minutes and hates the baby carrier. People tell me not to compare myself to "instagram mums" but it's not really them that I'm comparing myself to, it's my own Mum, who managed to have 4 children (all 2 years apart) and keep home properly and my Nan, who had 7 and who wascan amazing cook with an immaculate home who also sewed and knitted most of their clothes by hand! How did these women used to do it?! It seems like some unfair magic trick that they seem to know that I don't. Or did they just put their babies in a cot and leave them screaming while they went about their business, is that the secret?? I don't understand. 😭😭😭

    Same scenario. 4 littles 8 and under and one on the way. You do learn something new with each baby. I think you start to develop a better mindset about it. Do you have other advices? The baby holder hurts my back. My baby wants to always move and never sleep in his crib just sleeps beside me. He does not want to sit in his food chair. He only eats outside. So I can not have free time.

    • @girlteachme
      @girlteachme  Рік тому +2

      Ah this is tough. I had this issue with my first, but I didn't with my other babies as much bc I just couldn't respond to their needs as quickly and they learned to wait a bit more. to the carrier, maybe just 2-3 rounds of 10-15 minutes since it hurts your back. You may have to strengthen certain muscles for it to be more comfortable. Which carrier are you using? certain ones hurt me more than others. And the other parts are probably just deciding what is important to you to work on next. You are in charge, but overhauling everything at one time is too much. So pick one thing and work on it for a week. Him sitting in his crib with a toy and some relaxing music for even 5 minutes may teach him he is ok and that you are coming back. That is just one example, but you could do the same with the high chair. Like I said remembering you are in charge, he isn't trying to torture you, this is just what he has learned. So he can also learn another way. I can tell you are intentional and you are trying, asking God for wisdom on where to start will help so much. I know He will show you if you ask ❤️ Praying for some recharge time for you soon and for you to know the way to move forward as a mama!
