    Hey Chris...you decide to dig in a new pond off your deck on the new home? And speakin' of...ain't it about time for an update?! ! ! ! ? :-)

    Yes, If you don't do this for a living...realize when working in the muck or water that the splatter he is talking about is stones mixed in with the mud and water...they will knock out your windshield in a heartbeat. Speaking from experience.

    What causes the ponds to fill in that bad? Is it silt from runoff, vegetation falling in the water and rotting away or a little bit of both plus time?

    Is the white layer at the bottom bentonite to seal the bottom from when the pond was dug? Looks slimy like bentonite gets when it's wet.

    My pond dam was built on top of sand rock. Water is running underneath. Do you think if I cut a key way and redo the dam it will solve the problem?

    I just watched some of your videos on mucking out a pond. I was wondering why you didn’t have to install a pond liner to keep the water from seeping out?

    • @jaquigreenlees
      @jaquigreenlees 3 роки тому

      Clay bottom. The ponds in North Carolina he works on have clay as the "liner" which is impervious to water so they hold water without any plastic liner.

    Does your thumb ever drift down throughout the day when your working and not using it? Also Is it always ready to use or before you use it do you have to turn the auxiliary pump on and then toggle the thumb switch for the thumb?

    would a front end loader be worth a dang for these jobs? big scoop and move all the way to the edge each time instead of having to do it in stages? or would the thing just get stuck?

    • @letsdig18
      @letsdig18  7 років тому +2

    Still don't understand how swinging out with a full bucket is any different then swing empty back to the same digging point. Why bring the bucket in on the return?

    what happened to the audio? your narrative is indistinct.
    I always enjoy watching how smoothly you operate the excavator: it's like the bucket is your hand!
