To be fair, it's this aggression that the old players like Nepo is missing, which makes Magnus hesitant to want to face them again. But Alireza does not seem to have the skill to justify his aggression just yet.
People talk about how the reason Fabi was a member of the 2800 club was because he was always very prepared. The fact that he beat Hikaru in that very tricky game, and Alireza in a game Alireza himself prepared shows you how much of a beast you have to be to get that far ahead in rating.
Interestingly though in both cases it was him just completely outplaying his opponent in the middle game. Normally I don't keep up with the wins-losses so who wins is always a surprise to me. But for the candidate's tournament I do so it's strange watching a video where I know who wins.
Sekiro, Elden Ring and Firouzja vs Fabi..... keep the best games coming m8!!!! Love this channel
Thank you for the analisys, great video
I love that the photos are back!
It's a shame that they have to play in front of this drab corporate backdrop when in fact they're in a spectacularly beautiful room in a palace.
Fabi also would have felt horror at Nepo's performance and seriously regretting not pushing Nepo in their individual encounter 😁 .
Rapport’s shirt made all the difference for me today. Reminded me of Aronian. Let’s see his game as well and we’ll have to spend more time talking about his look. :)
We should always see a report on Rapport.
Fabi placed himself along with Morphy, fisher, resheshki (i don't know how to write or spell this) etc goats when asked about his dream American team of all time
Well he is good enough. If there was no Carlsen, Fabi would probably be the one dominating the stage. He has been consistently performing great at candidates, and we all saw the 2019 wc.
His peak rating of 2844 is also just behind Kasparov, way above everybody else.
There’s something strangely intimidating about Fabi’s hunch and complete focus on the board
Appreciating intresting ideas from Firoza ❤️
Alireza can bounce back...will be interesting to see what happens then . He will learn a lot from this tournament and win in the future..
I like the photos. Thank you.
I am just loving the elden references in the couple last videos lol
regarding the photo, perhaps the relative confidence of the two players can be seen in the fact that alireza does not remove his suit jacket. Fabi looks like he is about to get to work and alireza looks more like a schoolboy still. understandably, as he is basically still a schoolboy
Thanks for this, couldn't wait for your upload!
Qxa2 and Rxh2 from Fabi are mercilessly cold. Qe8 from Ali is desperation.
There's a noticeable difference between the strengths of these two monsters.
Such a relief when Antonio said Boris Gelfand and not Max Deutsch.
Why is the PGN for the Nepo-Duda game attached, Antonio?
Fascinating, that Firouzja plays a rare move with white, and loses to an out of book Caruana. Fabiano continues to impress.
Agadmator please show the standings after every round if possible
As this is the position that Agadmator put in the thumbnail of the video, that's what we will play.
-Agadmator, 2022
Not a fan of Alireza but damn, this guy is taking chances. He just needs better time management!
13:57 Fabi could play Qf6, Bh4, then back to Qc3 for another check, I kinda want to see how this pathing will result
That was crazy Thanks!
Loving the Elden Ring quotes in the latest videos!
That pawn to f5 was just wow.
I saw this live - Fabi is too good.
I feel sorry for Alireza.
Just curious, I probably dont see IT; agadmator sais on 13:06, what to do for Ali? What if he would play knight to g6, doesn't he have mate in 2? Or can fabi checkmate?
Rf2+. If Kg4, you get mated. If Ke4, Qc2 will force a queen trade if you don't want to lose material
Please show the standing at the beginning/end of each video
Loving the Elden Ring references!
Everyone's talking about Nakamura, Alireza, Nepo... BUT here you have Fabiano. Quiet, calm, just doing his good job. I remember seeing tje last championship, listening to him as a commentator. I'm not a good player but he clearly shows very good chess understanding. He was making seem like newbies to the other commentators. Since that moment i knew hw will be there up today. The only one holding to Nepo's dominance
Caruana is the strongest elite to magnus Carlsen his peak rating is 2844 basically the third highest ranking in history
He only drop back a little bit in 2021 due to COVID-19 and stuff
Alireza and ding are nothing near to his level
Even magnus said that
Ding made it to the condidates only by fide excluding kramnik and aronian
So he needed to lit. His elo to get it here, so the Chinese orgaanized a. Small championship in china featuring ding against 2400s and im sure they have been told to lose against ding, ( everything in china is setup )
Caruana is a solid player
And he was so close to be world champion in 2018
He lost only by Armageddon it was a tough championship for magnus
Caruana has the record to win 7 consecutive matches against the top of the top
Magnus, Nakamura, aronian, ding, nepo, so karyakin
@@unknown-unknown69 he lost in rapid, not Armageddon. Magnus beat him in rapid, but yeah, it was exciting. Right now, Magnus smacks him, but him and Nepo have the best chances of putting up a fight against Carlsen. Hopefully Carlsen decides to defend his title.
@@unknown-unknown69 Ding was very highly rated before those games. His elo wasn't what he needed to qualify, he didn't have enough classical games.
@@jamesshoganbot6085 the thing is that Fabi did not lose to Magnus in classical. It was all draws.
We wil see. Just saying that besides all the sensationalism and easy chatting around, Fabi is proving by himself his place.
These Elden ring quotes for video titles is magnificent.
Hi agad, can you please show the captured pieces beside the board. It would be easy for viewers to compare the material of both sides. A small #suggestion for improving the watching pleasure of games.
Thank you very much for the videos. Keep up the good work. 👍
Material is misleading at GM level.
@@a.m.armstrong8354 I was talking about our level 😀😀
Can you by chance show the Boris Gelfand game? I'm trying to find it and having no luck. Love your work!!
I hope Fabi gets another crack at beating Magnus. He did so well in his last try, just fell against Magnus' rapid prowess. Go USA players!
I agree, however I believe there ought not be any format change, but sudden death beyond the fixed games. If there's no result after a further six games, the title should be declared open, and both contestants entered into the next candidates tournament.
Fabiano is unbelievable
You are da best analyzer of games, Agadmator.
You forgot to update the description. Keep up the great work though, love the videos!
Fabi dragged him across the board 😬🔥
Absolute one of my fave quotes....... and "I have never known defeat"...............
The size difference between the two is just an illusion due to Fabi’s chair being twice as large.
#suggestion Could you please show some games where Black is at the bottom and White is at the top. I think it will help us think better when we are playing with the Black pieces.
Thanks man I love your content ❤️
Few months ago Agad be like- You used to be some Fabi
Agad at the moment- you will witness true horror
I thought that title was super disrespectful as well. Glad Fabiano is shining and Agad has to do square that.
@@ManhattanProject9 it's just a fun title because he lost to magnus, it's not that deep and everyone knows how good fabi is/can be
@@ManhattanProject9 Fabi got back in form at just the right time as usual. Hope Ding could get some of that ability.
@@ManhattanProject9 The title is an Elden Ring reference. The previous one as well.
@@ghorarmangsho871 elden ring had not released yet in January, which is the video from tata steel that he is talking about where magnus beat fabi. It seemed to be a song reference: "somebody that I used to know"
Fabi is like ENGINE in classical...
My friends at the bar and the library are going to LOVE this game. I certainly do.
New guy getting real GM spanking on the big stage. Just like Fisher a million years ago. He’s need to keep at it and not back down. I love his approach
Thanks Agadmator for the continued content!
Please show standings at the end of the video. Thank you ❤️
It might be Fabi Vs Nepo for 2023 world championship. later this year we may see Magnus Vs Wesley in the 2022 world championship.
why would Magnus quit world championship?
Magnus wants to quit to play #9LX against Wesley So to compensate for the pathetic 4-0 loss which Magnus admitted to being 'deeply ashamed' about.
Turns out Magnus is a talentless patzer who crumbles without opening prep.
chess = greatness = a combination of theory and talent
#9LX = pure talent
#saynoto2900
On move 40, doesnt white have N-g6 with an unstopable checkmate?
I'm on the photography part of the video and the "someone has artificially enlarged Aliareza" already won you my like. Now lets look at the game
Lets go fabi!!! 🇮🇹🇺🇸
At 4:56 , after queen to g4 and bishop to d7, shouldn't white play bishop to h6?
The photo reminded me of Morphy - Anderssen (1858). Small man beats the big man.
Love the channel but nitpicking a bit here today... Who is not a "legend" if Gelfand qualifies as one? He is a great player no doubt - but "legend"? If anyone/everyone is a legend, then no one is. In this particular move, the engines don't have QD3 anywhere in top 5 choices.
