Rocky 4 Trailer - Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) fights Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) in Russia after Ivan kills Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) in the ring.
MGM - 1985 - Фільми й анімація
This trailer is basically the entire movie in order...
Lmao
You're right. Very little plot development. Apollo dies, they have a funeral, Rocky wants to fight, montage montage montage, rocky fights, the end. The only thing that wasn't disclosed was the robot.
@@Sybertek Love that screenname!
It's just a Cold War movie.
J: Hey at! I fairly think that what one can see or watch in the trailer, it's otherwise a successive and filmically "chronological" sequence of the main and catchiest scenes from the movie itself. They were as a matter of fact put, set or shot in an orderly fashion to summarize the most exacting and punctilious action-based drama of this (that) intensely minded motion picture or photoplay. Agree? Ty.
Иван Драго still the best one in my opinion
This has the greatest training montage of any movie on earth
I could not have said it better. 👍👍👍
Yeah, I love it too. I especial love how at the end of the training montage he stood on top of a mountain yelling 'Drago'.
Check out the new music video for “Rise Above” by Crazy Lixx!! Total rocky 4 vibes!!!
Best training montage music, too.
In the galaxy
Watching this at the age of 7 gave me goosebumps. Now at the age of 42 it still gives me goosebumps.
I loved the old trailers from the 80's .
What is a trailer ?
@@Kellyinct An advert for a film.
Me too
They gave to much information of the movie
That guy was awesome .. he passed away recently .. I think he's last name was lafontaine
I am SO excited for the director's cut. I can't believe I'm this fired up for something that happened 35 years ago.
Same here
Pretty God Damn Glorious! Seen the directors cut 3 times already!

Theatrical is WAY much better !
Rocky IV is great and it's the best movie in the Rocky franchise.
Uncultured swine
No it's the worst. Stupid movie. The best is Rocky.
@@thedayafter5743 Agreed.
Thumbs up if you're going to check out Stallone's director's cut when it's released.
Abso-bloody-lutely. Or as Rocky would've said: "...absolu'ly..."
Definitely!!
Most definitely!
I know I am
I'm taking my son to see it on November 11th. Can't wait.
They should have left in: "He's had one professional fight, and one man is dead."
Agreed
J. Rossi I strongly agree with you.
1:06
It’ll probably be in the Director’s Cut that Sly said he’s working on.
Go check Stallone's Instagram. He literally just posted part of that scene a few minutes ago so it looks like it will be in the director's cut for sure.
Rocky should have fought with the beard still on. Would have been even more badass
I agree. Fight fire with fire.
He was totally Hot with that Beard When he was training to fight the Russian Drago
What is a trailer??
I don’t think I ever even noticed that haha
How did Rocky get that amazing tan in the wintery Russia?
That vengeful look rocky gave drago after Apollo died to this day still gives me chills
Ikr..lol!. That cold AL CAPONE mafia types- look... That that all we're gonna do is just take a trip down to the Hudson Bay types look!..lol!... All we're gonna do is just talk that's all types look!..😜😂🤣🤦🏿♂️.. Only the 3 out of let's say 4 of us gonna come back types-look!..🤦🏿♂️🤣😂😉
Same here...thought I was the only one...in the film it's so intense
So sad to learn of Burt Young's passing.
I grew up with the Rocky movies. My Uncle Paulie is gone.
He was a great actor including in Rocky IV, my all-time favourite motivational movie.
"Hit the one in the middle!"
Thank you so much sir for sharing your talent with us and may you rest in heaven. Sincerest condolences to your loved ones.
🕊️🕊️🕊️🕯️🕯️🕯️💙💙💙🥊🥊🥊
It’s okay! Paulie is hanging out with Duke, Mickey and Apollo in heaven
Best of the best the 1985 version, thank you so much Sly for giving this movie to the world
I cried when APOLLO died. If he dies he dies then Rocky and Drago stare at each other. It was on! Gave me chills. Best Rocky!
Best rocky movie (in my opinion)
One of the best movies of the 80’s!
Along with Back to the future (1985)
Rocky ended the Cold War.
"Watchmen" ended dhe Cold War.
I'm fairly certain Superman was the one who confiscated the worlds Nuclear Weapons and threw them into the sun.
No, Rambo 3 ended the Cold War.
David Hasselhoff drops the Berlin Wall!!
ElEternoPoetaLuis along with James Bond in the living daylights.
That shot of Apollo just falling straight down on the mat is epic. Sad, but epic
Best movie ever!!
That scene in 1:05 we FINALLY got in the Director’s Cut.
Yep.
@@miguael_ribueramost of the director’s cut is poorly-edited except the final fight
@miguael_ribuera Just because the robot isn't in the director's cut?
IMO, the DC's story feels stronger and more solid without the robot.
It's official Sly is working on Rocky 4 director's cut. Hopefully we get more new scenes and the commission one. He said he's taking the robot out.
The best theatrical trailer of all time!!!
Great trailer to one of the greatest sports movies ever made. And with a deleted scene no less. The boxing commission scene should have stayed in the final product. I must break who ever decided to cut that scene from the movie.
There is a director’s cut on the way!!!!!
Trailer for it just dropped.
This whole movie has the theme of nature vs nurture perfectly implemented in it.....
I remember that I went to watch this movie at the cinema in my city in Italy with my father.
The place was so packed that we have to wait for the later show.
And even later was so crowded that we managed to get inside 15 min later, and the movie was already started.
We had to stay stand because was absolutely no seat free.
At the time you were allowed to stay stand.
Best film ever
Talk about a huge spoiler alert. Messed up that you went into the movie back in 1985 knowing Apollo was going to die.
That wasn't the spoiler. That was the conclusion and the hook to making you want to watch it even more. After all it happend at the start of the film and not the ending.
Lucky back when I watched it on VHS there was no UA-cam haha.
Agreed 100%
THIS IS THE BEST TECHNICALLY DONE MOVIE OF ROCKY SERIES .
Agreed
In terms of production maybe. In terms of the story, this is the worst.
Leonardo Yi This and V
@@leonardoyi3183 what about 5?
@@Luka2000_ storywise I think V is better than rocky IV. Rocky IV is like a transformers movie with michael bay, lot of production in music, sound effects, but 0 substance. You can have a good time watching 4, but in reality, it's not a good movie. V was a better written story, and it feels more like a rocky movie, than a michael bay movie. Its not as bad as some people think..
Damm I love this classic trailers, rocky,. my favorite movie of all times, and Dolph was great as a unstoppable machine. Good times.
the drago in the background and thunderclap and rocky that scene is epic honsetly
Apollo Creed and Carl Weathers, RIP😢
When this one came out, my sister said, unbelievably, “Rocky IV?!!!!!!!!!!”
1:06-1:12 Favorite part of the trailer.
This movie pretty much ended the cold War. I gotta say and many may think I'm nuts and biast. But this move if you really look at it's story line is probably a top 10. I'm sure with the budget and all to some may be chessy. It's 1985 people. I can honestly say the sound track was perfect. Still work out to many of the songs
pantera and metallica ended the cold war at the monsters of rock in moscow 91 😂
Dolph Lundgren says about 10 words in the entire film haha
He is a Russian, he's English isn't that great
@@john-pierrerichard1791 Dolph Lundgren is actually Swedish......and he studied chemical engineering at the University of Sydney in Australia, he speaks really good English, having studied in an English speaking country, even before that, a lot of swedes speak English as a second language

The #1 movie on Tuesday, December 31st 1985
The greatest film ever put onto celluloid.
In 1985 Rocky wins against Drago.
Now in 2018, Rocky's student Adonis Creed is training to fight with Viktor Drago, Ivan Drago's son.

Rocky 4 should have been final Rocky film.
Nah 5 6 Creed 1 2 are great films
How could Apollo die when he was a better fighter! " You gotta remember now, you fight great but I'm a great fighter"
+Richard Ristic Rocky has an extremely hard head, like the another Rocky, Marciano. Apollo was retired more years ago and thought, Drago is strong, but not a good boxer. Rocky trained for this fight incredible hard, in Moscow arrived to the top form of his all life. Hard, strong and stamina with no end.
Styles make fights
Because apollo hadnt fought in 5 years according to the movie!
Because time is undefeated.
The mind-set of Rocky is at another level,,, his body is like a rock and can take punishment.. Apollo and Drago cannot take punishments for so long
Well trailers in 80s weren't as bad as the previous decades but they still managed to spoil major plot elements (Apollo's death !).
One of the best movies of all time💪💪💪💪
I hear Drago once came to a fork in the road.
''I must take you.''
Best Rocky ever! 2021
1:06 i never saw this part of the movie
Deleted scene which should make the director's cut
me too
Love this movie and the Rocky franchise
In response to an earlier debate as to who deserves the most credit for ending The Cold War...it was a superbly coordinated team effort between Rocky, Rambo, the Predator, Chuck Norris, Iron Eagle, the Wolverines & that long time, fiercely primal Soviet craving to sample, quite voluptuously, a McDonald's Big Mac that finally brought down The Berlin Wall (sometimes all it takes is an iconic clown to play a key role in helping to defeat a savage totalitarian tyranny with more nukes than toilet paper!). History's Greatest Unsung Heroes!
wow this gives away everything
1:22 - 1:45 The ultimate workout motivation
I think this original cut of Apollo saying "No" at 0:36 is fascinating. It's much more visceral than the theatrical cut which is on the other hand is more realistic. It comes off a little fake getting bombed in the head, and then taking a quick timeout to peek your head out to tell your best friend not to stop the fight. The whole exchange comes off a little creepy considering it's the moment before he died that he would have looked Rocky dead in the eye. He also almost looks angry...I wonder what Sly will use for the director's cut. Also, he doesn't look in all that bad shape in this version of the moment. In the movie cut his face is all jacked up and it looks like a real beatdown.
I love how in the past trailers were virtually incapable of spoiling any films, cause people were not as spoiled and sensitive as these days, nothing could spoil it because films were more about the whole-hearted experience of the whole thing than just the disconnected brainy experience - the plot, dialogue, twists, etc... To this day for me knowing the whole plot before watching any film only helps me to better get in tune and immerse myself fully, heart, mind and spirit, in the experience of the film. Irony is that sometimes the dumber the film is the more soulful it is an experience, cause it circumvents the brain and goes deeper in terms of the inner senses.
For me this is certainly the only Rocky film that can be quite difficult to watch for its reflective tone of the cold war, it can be quite disturbing and horrifying not unlike the Rambo movies. Stallone seems to be often very much in tune with the darker lower dimensional or denser energies of the universe, very physical and solid, as if his spirit chooses to push through the hardest things ever on purpose just to empower its roots, perhaps even unconsciously on his part, it would certainly serve its own purpose in his life, but ultimately it is self destructive, to push through the hard objects can be achived more easily by becoming lighter, not harder and heavier.
Directors cut is on its way!! Cannot wait.
The scene in the trailer where Rocky is about to throw the towel and Apollo says "No" haunts me.
Will be good to see other scenes which didn't make the final cut like Rocky and the Boxing board
Best trailer ever

Yes, the plot is simple as heck but I love it.
I loved this movie...
Ya lo he visto como 100 veces pero igual lo veo cada vez que en algún canal lo pasa.

THEY GAVE UP THAT APOLLO DIED IN THE TRAILER!!!!!!
It's in Russia. Are you nuts?
Since 2002 am watching this trailer and didn't get boring and the music in excited me In GYM TRAINING
Great trailer
They show the scene that going to be in the director cut. Also how is they going to cut the robot out. They had to cut out Paul birthday part
Gave away the plot in the whole damn trailer! THANKS!
I wish they showed the scene with the boxing comity
really...
Will Common it was filmed but deleted but I think it will be in one of the anniversary edition out soon of Rocky
@@tonyjax8454 What anniversary edition? I've been waiting years to see that scene. I also heard from the actor, Tony Burton who played Tony "Duke" Evers (Rocky and Apollo's trainer), that there was a deleted scene from Rocky IV where God talked to Apollo in a dream and told him to take the fight against Drago to become a sacrifice so Rocky could end the Cold War. I thought this sounded totally insane, but this was coming from Tony Burton, so I'm assuming it has to be true. I would give almost anything to see that scene.
@@shikamondes4068 I'd give anything to see any deleted scenes from the Rocky movies I've been a huge fan most of my life and I'm almost 37

I can’t wait to see this.
Ohh... What a trailer, this new Rocky opponent is so strong... I definetly have to watch this new sequel.
I feel I'm in the 80's.
Fantastic
Oh man if they actually used that frame at 36 seconds of Apollo looking at Rocky like that in the movie it would’ve been even harder for Rocky after Apollo’s death.
Chills
0:35
They shouldn’t have cut that closeup of Apollo. It gives more clarification that he’s yelling for Rocky to not throw in the towel.
I get chills when up the mountain starts
Cant wait for the directors cut of this!
Great movie but it’s too short!
They gave away the whole plot :(
The scenes at 0:36 and 1:06 you have to keep in the movie. The first one because...well you SEE Apollo looking at Rocky and basically you understand why Rocky doesn't throw the towel in. Though to be fair, if Apollo was head towards death...he wouldn't have been that lucid.
And the second scene...c'mon, you have to have an understand of what Rocky is giving up. In the actual theater version, you see it in fake newspaper clips which goes WAY TOO FAST. A one to two minute scene would've been plenty to show this as a bridge to the press conference. Rocky is giving up the heavyweight championship and fighting a Russian during the height of the Cold War IN MOSCOW for nothing on Christmas Day!??! It deserves at least that explanation...
Mark Mullins that bit is correct.
when you win a boxing world title in the ring it's yours forever.
You hold the losers belt pose with it a bit then in the dressing room you hand it back to him. You wait a couple of weeks the sanctioning body makes a title belt for you, then when you lose it, the new champion gets to hold yours, gives it back to you then he has one made. Your title belt is yours to do what you wish, trophy cabinet, on the wall, sell it if you go skint. Or in Rocky's case put it on a coffin. which makes sense, as Apollo won the 3rd fight behind closed doors
Apollo was also a champion. I would say that he laid Apollo's belt on the casket.
That soundtrack and scene is very Familiar at 0:42
Till yet a very good movie.
I never knew that they revealed that Apollo died in the trailer before the movie was even out. Looking back I think it kind of ruins the plot a little bit
Top 5 movie of all time. It made me a believer.
Remember the 80's ?... When they were still fighting with exploding boxing gloves...
RIP Carl Weathers😢
Everything turns out okay. Apollo actually goes on to have a nice career as Tobias Funke's acting coach.
La mas infravalorada de la saga
My favorite part of the trailer is when the Voice Over says the title in the end:
"ROCKY 4"
Pauly (burt young) would have to live on and play in creed movies
Min 1:07 here begins the financial crush of rocky, bussinesman and promoters warns him, if he goes to Russia, a prelude to what would happen in Rocky V.
I pretend Rocky V never happened.
Rest in peace, Apollo (Carl Weathers). 🕊️
😂😂😂lmaoo 1:00 🕐 paulie “are you nuts”
0:34 I don't think a thrown towel into the ring would have stopped drago, we've already seen in the first round even after the bell rang he kept punching apollo, he was bent on rage.
Yeah, the bell wouldn't stop Drago
So where did that scene with the I am guessing boxing board come from i have owned the movies on video dvd and blu ray but never seen that in the movie
Who’s here after the new trailer? 🔥
No matter what you think of his movies, no one shoots a fight like Stallone does. When I went to see "Rocky Balboa" the whole theatre was standing during the last fight. It was like it was happening live. And to think that Vince DiCola score for this one was nominated for a Razzie disqualifies the whole award.
Nice to hear Rocky chants with a Russian accent.
I just finished watching the new trailer...smh____ it gave me chills and tears___ lol...it looks AWESOME! 🥊🇺🇲 🇺🇦🥊 I can't wait. Rocky rules ..
I remember seeing this as a kid amazed at how big Drago was. By the time I was 21 (1993) everybody was bigger than him. LOL
Reagan's absence from the fight in Russia was shameful.
Clássico!!!
